when shiv hated gauri in the beginning he did not hurt her physically but just verbally..

after 7 yrs i think till now he has not done so but yesterday he raised his hand to slap her..then he stopped and they look in each other eyes ..

wat stopped him from hitting her ...

my pov the way they stared in each other eyes so much feelings and emotion was there in this laspe of time they emoted without telling any words wat they feel for each other.... i think he will never be able to hurt gauri physically...remember he did say when he hurts her his heart cries and yesterday they both were hurting ending having tears in their eyes...gauri too did say watever the circumstances their love for each other will remain the same...in these 7 yrs though he has not said the golden words gauri means a lot to him...

shiv got a shock yesterday and the divorce he will surely be devastated...

pallavi aka gauri was mindblowing .her expression and my best scene was the one with nikky and when she laughed when nikky said something about rishta..she was too perfect..just adore her....

yash and pallavi did great yesterday and more emotional scenes to come...

for me ultimately he is just a scumbag i still havent forgieven him for what he did 7 years ago. i hope she does divorce him the loser doesnt deserve her. how dare he raise his hand i really was hoping she would have caught his hand instead and threw it in his face. 😡

agree he did not love her in the beginning but now in these 7 yrs so many things have changed between them and shiv has accepted her as his wife and life partner and did not hurt her physically but shower her with love till his mom started creating misunderstanding between them..i think if he hated her he would not have made a family and shanti is the proof of their love....

thats why my pov was he will never be able to hurt her that way coz in these 6 yrs excluding the first yr she has become his life and world....

My Take:

In the previous episode, we did see Nikky tried to dissuade Shiv from continuing with Gauri and holding Gauri reponsible and Shiv did tell her off there..at the moment.

Much as Shiv or anyone would not want to see their Mother being spoken rudely to or hear anything against them, Shiv has been witness, where his mother had planned his marriage against his will in the first place... and he cannot brush away the feeling that his mother may be still attempting it , although the thought seems jus as ridiculous to him, he cannot ignore for the incident of the previous stands witness.

As for raising the hand, well its to what level one could be provoked when some one speaks ill against their mother, and well why didnt he slap, well I guess, its not in his nature to physically abuse and least of all his wife ,and he was surprsed himself, that Gauri, who had been the calming factor in his life, could provoke him to this extent...

you said it rite that gauri has been the calming factor in his life and yesterday her clash with his mom and as you said provocation had brought him to the extent of hitting her..

but i still think when their eyes met in that scene he deep down in his heart wanted to accept the fact that his mom may be at fault and gauri is rite ...

verbally he had hurt her in the beginning but physically he wont dare to do so esp to gauri...
