Possible future story.

I don't think she will kill shiv but only send him away for a while. so when he comes back he will realize that he loves gauri. and will try to win her back.

I think that the future story will be that Gauri will come close to losing her life a few times.. combined with the love she has for Shiv, it'll melt his heart. He'll burn Ip-shit's painting, make one of Gauri's and become the husband who fought for his wife's life.
After all, why should it always be the wife who fights death for the life of her husband? It should be the other way around.
