1. he sketched this pic when he was 16 n tht gal was 14.. ( how does he know her age? you cant tell someone age when you met them for the first time! )he must hv known her..

2. saw her somewhere near to a river or sumthing..

3. he adored her for her beauty..

yes it is gauri because the the picture wich shiv mad is 1 gauri face is long
2 gauri have some eyes
3 gauri have same lip
4 gauri have smae eyebro
so it 100% gauri that what i thing by see it picture .

picture is not of ipshita because
1 ipshita have round face ( not long face)
2 ipshita have big eyes ( not small eyes

i think even if he have feelings for Gauri he will ignore it because he will think that he cannot love anybody else other than the girl in the picture. But when he comes to know that the picture is of Gauri he will get the biggest shock of his life. By that time it will be too late and Gauri might have already left him when she comes to know the whole truth.
