I don't understand why everyone cares about what others think. Ravi's mom, Saket's mom and even Devika's dadi

they don't actually think about what their kids want, only how society will think of them. Ravi's mom clearly doesn't understand Ravi has feelings for Devika that might not remain platonic. Saket's mom clearly doesn't care about how Devika might feel being used and Devika's dadi clearly does not care if Devika wants to marry Saket! Plus no one seems to care about Saket's pregnant cousin from London... oh wait that's his wife. Why people? Why?
Everyone is out for their own interests and those who are trying to help others are not even being listened to.

I totally agree with u

But sadly thats the story of our society today especially in the interiors of India .. more importance is given to what the society will think instead of what our kids want ...

Its obvious that Ravika r in strong denial about their feelings because of this same society pressure only .. Devika cant even think of a love life because she is foricbly tied down with Saket ..And Ravi too cant think of a love connection with Devika because as it is his and her family r sitting on his head doing hai hai about their friendship ...

About Saket's mom , less said the better .. I mean she knows her son just made another girl pregnent but she cares a damn .. just wants Saket to marry Devika for ghar ki izzat .. so that other girl and the baby who belongs to Saket only can go to hell .. wow 👎🏼

At this rate , I feel Sakshi is the only senisible member out there .. Ravika should follow her advice and elope from these useless families and get married in some mandir 😆

That's what is so sad, because of other people and how they think one has to give up their individual dream and desires to fit in. They have to compromise sometimes incorrectly.
I understand the parents' concerns but the grandmother's thoughts are gender bias. If it was her son she would not have a problem. as much. These three women love their sons a lot!
Saket is just totally horrible right now to me.
I love sakshi's advice 😆 and I am glad they did not take it.
Lmao I am watching a kaddu fight. I have to gif that 🤣

Well said ladies and absolutely on point...sorry to say but people and society don't value what love means all they see is reputation and status which is sad...
Just like our love birds there heart says one but logical tells them the other as far as they are concerned they want to please everyone around them...

As you said jo they may as well elope at least they will live a life of there choice. ..

Poor devika and ravi caught in the middle and as for saket what a great villain he is... cannot even control his own mum...or family...

I must say devika dadi did disappoint me but I will wait and see what happens in the future...

Actually there is not much difference between Saket's Mom and Devika's Dadi .. I remember in the first episode itself they showed how Dadi puts all the blame on that girl who loved Devika's elder brother(forgot his name) .. Dadi then got her grandson married to another girl but not the one he loved because of same reason , that is what people will think ... so she puts all blame on girl and that Devika's brother was a moron like Saket only

Today Saket's mom doing same .. In a way its karma for Devika's dadi but poor Devika is victim for no fault of hers

That's true. It gives the idea that you should never have a relationship with anyone if you want to avoid what people think

This thinking should really change
People say elders are experienced. So they can guide us well
But they forget that those elders have got those experiences from what they trie, where they had gone wrong, etc
But in the name of societies thinking and what will people say, some people don't let others live their life in their own way
Btw well said @Arya @razia @jyoti
Agree with all of you
I just hope when RaVika will get married Ravi's mom and Devika's Dadi will start thinking about them instead of the society and people

Agree with u Arya.
This is d biggest problem.
Society is what people make it.
And everybody in d society has this big issue (quoting Siddhu ji ) - " Duniya mein sabse bada rog . Mere bare mein kya kahenge log. "

Characters such Devika's Daadi are a sad reflection of society. There are some people out there that do not make an effort to understand their children, nor do they allow them to have a say in their OWN lives.

It's money that makes the world go round for some. And of course the obsession with marrying children into high status families. It's never about the happiness of their children...it's simply about making a good impression in society and in the eyes of the extended family, community.

It's always about what others think...never about ones own happiness and peace of mind, which should always come first.
