Okay! Probably I mistook your words "Dead forum" for being an inactive forum.

Because an inactive forum can be brought back to life with healthy discussions and useful threads, I believe.

So let me get it straight, you mean to say the inconsistent updates of the stories or Fan Fics that you are so madly in love with has got you to come up with this post. Right?

In short, it's a complain to those writers who don't update frequently. Alright !

But didn't you mention that readers can be busy and might not comment? I guess, you did.

So why not accept the fact that each and every member on India Forums has got a life - personal life, beyond the boundaries of Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan and India Forums. Everyone's got priorities; readers as well as writers.

When you can consider a reader not having the time to comment, why can't you consider the hectic schedule of an author then? They just might be busy with their lives. You've got no idea what's going with one's life.

Yes, they are answerable to you to have updates pending as an author. Especially to the readers who follow their work. But similarly, being a reader you can't be ignorant about the amount of hard work they put in.

A reader has a choice to read or not; but a writer wishfully starts a write-up. So putting it on a halt is not one of their willing decisions. It's just because of constraints that they face.

I am up for a discussion. Not an argument. If you believe, my tone or words were harsh, again stating, I didn't mean to.

Agreed. If a writer wants to discontinue, he or she can then put up a note notifying the readers that they no longer would be continuing with the story or they are continuing it elsewhere. Whatever be the scenario, the readers can be updated about it.

Though, at times it just gets a bit messy on the life front and one gets busy straightening it out which finally leads to no time for Social networking sites and forums like these. They might not want to discontinue and plan on completing their pending stories but might take a bit more time than usual. I feel there's hope until and unless there's dead end. Thus, if you don't have a note stating it's discontinued, then there's a possibility of it getting updated.

Yes, it's saddening but that's life.

Everyone had lives before Kaisi yeh yaariaan, even while it was on-air and after that too. It's just that when a show goes off air, the members tend to move to some other show at times and the forum becomes less active and slowly starts losing the liveliness it once had. Natural.

Though, I think there are people who are still updating. But you need to understand that the response drops, sparking disinterest among the writers. Just stating a possibility.

I believe there have been people who would rather update for a handful readers as well. At times Slow but they do.

For some writers, I can say they have moved to sites like Wattpad. I think for the fact that it's a bit more convenient. Because people usually prefer comfort and convenience. Both writers as well as readers.

Well, I think, I just went off track there. Okay, so if you believe the writers are not updating and you have had enough with the inconsistent update. You have the choice whether to continue to read or not.

After Kaisi yeh yaariyan, I don't think I will ever enter any other new show's forum.

I agree.

Wattpad is more convenient and easy to use. The forum is designed in such a way that some really amazing stuffs are pushed back onto the later pages just because some other threads are trending. It annoys at times.
