CHAPTER-19
Manik was doing the decorations alone. He was blowing the balloons when Nandini came and said-
Jiju mai apki help kardu. Sab kaam aap akele hi karoge kya.
Manik - Yes I will manage tum jao.
Nandini- But Jiju thodi to help karne dijiye na.
Meanwhile Padma came and said- Haan Beta tum akele kaise manage karoge . Nandu help kardegi tumhari.
Manik couldn't say no to Padma so he had to agree.
Nandini- To batayiye kya karna hoga mujhe.
Manik thought that he had to keep her far away from him. So he gave her some work at the far end of the hall.
Nandini happily agreed and started doing the decorations.
Manik finished blowing the balloons and tied them together.
He then finished the remaining works and looked around to see how the decorations were looking. He smiled thinking how his kids would react to the decorations.
Manik looked at Nandini and found her struggling to reach the nail to faix the curtain to the pillar. She was making cute pouts whenever she jumped and failed to reach the height.
Manik started walking towards her to help.
Suddenly Padma came and said- Manik Beta kitni der se decorations kar rahe ho tum log. Thank gaye honge. Chalo khana khalo lunch time bhi hogaya hai. Chal Nandu tu bhi aaja.
Nandini- Ji Amma aap chaliye humlog bas ye finish karke aate hai
Padma nodded and left.
Nandini to Manik- Jiju ye mujhse nahi hoga. Please aap hi kardijiye na.
Manik- Theek hai Lao. Mai kardega hu. Tum jao khana khalo. Bhuk lagi hogi na tumhe.
Nandini- Haan bahut lagi hai.
Saying this she held her stomach.
Nandini- Aap bhi chaliye na.
Manik- Tum jao. Mai 5 min me aata hu.
Nandini- Theek hai jaldi aana warna Amma mujhe daantegi ki kyu apko leke nahi aayi.
Saying this she went away.
Manik smiled seeing her innocence.
They both had their lunch as everyone else had already had their lunch.
Nandini all the while kept talking about how excited she was to see Aarav-Khushi's reaction after seeing the decorations.
Manik kept stealing glances of Nandini while she was busy in her non stop talks.
After eating , Nandini brought ice cream for Manik.
Manik at first said no but then on her repeated requests he gave in .
Nandini was making all sort of pouts while eating ice cream. It was melting in her hands and she was licking her fingers while eating.
She finished her ice cream and was about to get up.
But Manik held her hand.
Nandini was confused as to why Manik stopped her.
Nandini- Kya hua Jiju.
Manik- Wo tumhare face pe icecream laga hai.
Nandini wiped her right cheek.
Manik- No the other side.
Nandini wiped slightly above the icecream stain and said- Nikal gaya kya.
Manik- No. Ruko mai karta hu.
Saying this he touched her left cheek and wiped the icecream.
Nandini- Thanks .
And she went away from there.
In the meantime everyone came down and saw the decorations and praised Manik and Nandini.
Padma- Manik Beta , Nandu kaha hai nazar nahi aarahi.
Manik- Shayad apne room me hogi.
Padma- Acha theek hai. Tum cabir ko call karke kehdo ke Baccho ko le aaye. Waise bhi party ka time ho gaya hai.
Manik called Cabir and asked him to come back.
The party started at 6pm.
The guests started to arrive.
Cabir walked in with the kids.
Aarav-Khushi saw the decorations and felt excited as today they were being given special treatment by their Dadoo, and then Cabir and now the party.
Aarav-Khushi saw Manik and ran upto him and asked him- Dadoo ye shab decorations hamare liye hai.
Manik- Yes. Ye sab aap dono ki Birthday ke liye hai.
Aarav-Khushi- Thank you Dadooo...
Ye sab aapne kiya hai.
Nyonika came from behind and said- Yes Bachcho ye sab Dadoo ne aur Nandini ne kiya.
The kids saw Nandini coming down and shouted
Aarav-Khushi- Mummaaa...
They ran to her and said- Thank you.
Nandini- Kisliye.
Aarav-Khushi- Birthday party ke liye.
Nandini- Oh to ap logon ko mujhe nai Apke Dadoo se thanks bolna chahiye.
Padma- Acha Bachchon Chalo jaldi Jake ready hojao. Fir cake cut karenge.
Aarav-Khushi- OK Nani. Mumma Chalo. Ready hona hai.
Nandini- OK. Chalo.
Manik noticed his kids bond with Nandini and felt thankful to Nandini for taking care of them and giving them mother's love .
This bond was observed by two other pairs of eyes.
It was none other than Nyonika who felt happy that her grandchildren are so comfortable with their Maasi Nandini and that they not for once cried like yesterday.
The other person who observed this was Cabir. Cabir not only saw the bond between Nandini and the kids but also how Manik was always happy around Nandini. He thought to talk about it with Manik after the party.
Aarav-Khushi got ready in the dresses which Manik had bought for them and came down with Nandini.
They both held Manik's and Nandini's hand while blowing the candles and cutting the cake.
Everyone sang the birthday song.
The kids who came along with the guests played different games and enjoyed a lot.
The guests gave the presents to Aarav-Khushi who happily accepted.
After a lot of fun the guests left.
Now only the family members were left.
Aarav-Khushi asked them to give their gifts.
Everyone gave their presents to Aarav-Khushi .
Lastly Aarav-Khushi went to Padma and said- Nani gift.
Padma- Bachcho mera ashirwad hamesha tumhare sath hai. Tum logo ko aur kuch chahiye to bolo. Mai laake dungi.
Aarav-Khushi discussed something in each other's ears and said- Plomish.
Padma- Haan promise.
Aarav-Khushi- Mumma ko ghar lejana hai hamale shaath.
Saying this they held Nandini's hand tightly.
Padma along with others was shocked hearing the kids wish.
Phewww... Done with another update.
