CHAPTER-15
Manik's Bungalow-
Aarav-Khushi were continuously asking Nyonika- Dadoo kab ayenge Dadi.
Nyonika- Bas aata hi hoga. Tum log khana khalo.
Aarav-Khushi- Nai Dadoo sath khana hai.
After 20 minutes Manik reached home.
As soon as he entered , Aarav-Khushi ran to him and Manik lifted both of them in his arms and came and sat on the couch.
Manik was very tired due to the busy day.
Aarav-Khushi- Dadoo bhuk lagi hai.
Manik- Aww ... Bhuk lagi hai mere babies ko. Chalo mai fresh hokar aata hu . Fir sath me dinner karenge.
Aarav-Khushi- OK Dadoo.
Nyonika observed Manik's tired face.
She felt that something is bothering him and thought to talk about it after dinner.
She took the kids to dining table and served dinner.
Manik went to his room to freshen up and came down.
All four of them had their dinner.
Then Nyonika took the kids to their room and tucked them in bed.
Aarav-Khushi- Good night Dadi.
Nyonika- Good night bachcho.
She came out of the kids room and saw Manik in the hall.
He was engrossed in some work in his laptop.
Nyonika- Manik.
Manik looked up and saw Nyonika.
He shut the flap of the laptop immediately and kept it aside.
Nyonika felt something suspicious but ignored it and sat beside Manik.
Nyonika- Kya baat hai Manik . Pareshan lag rahe ho. Sab theek to hai na Beta.
Manik- Haan Mom . Sab theek hai.
Nyonika- Lag to nahi raha hai. Mujhse chupaoge tum ab baatein. Itne bade ho gaye ho tum.
Manik- Mom aisa kuch nai hai.
Nyonika- To batao kya baat hai.
Manik narrated everything that happened today.
Nyonika felt bad hearing all this.
Nyonika- Beta woh sab to theek hai. But tum kab tak sab ki khushiyon ke liye jeete rahoge.
It's high time you should think about yourself.
Manik- Mom please don't start it all over again.
Nyonika- Beta maan lo meri baat. You should move on and get married.
Apne liye nahi to kam se kam Aarav aur Khushi ke liye. Ab wo bade ho rahe hai. They need mother's love and affection.
Manik- Mom mai hu na unke liye.
Nyonika- I know Beta. There is no doubt that you are the best father in the world but besides father a kid needs mother's love as well.
Manik didn't say anything and left from there.
Nyonika said from behind- Manik, give it a thought.
Manik without turning - Good Night Mom.
Nyonika sighed and stood up to go to her room when her eyes fell on Manik's laptop.
She was about to pick it up but Manik came and took the laptop from the table and went away to his room.
Nyonika got confused with Manik's behaviour but ignored it and went to sleep.
Manik came to his room and kept the laptop on his bed .
He sat down on the bed and kept the laptop in his lap.
He opened the folder of photos and kept staring at the pictures of Nandini.
Suddenly he saw Anita's photo hanging at the wall in front of him.
He felt guilty of his act and closed the laptop and went and stood before Anita's photo and said-
I am sorry Anita . I shouldn't behave like this . But I don't have control over my feelings for her. Please don't hate me. I will try to stay away from her.
Yes I will stay away from her.
That is the only way.
But please don't hate me. Please.
He then went to sleep .
