I always always wanted them to sing Hasi ever since Nandu sang it on her own in Mangalore!!!!!!!! Uff that brought back memories!!!!!!

The whole Tum mile sequence!!! It was so nice watching them do coupling things!! We always wanted to see them like that once they started dating. They are now in their happy phase! And awww Manik finished his card game and helped Nandini!!! Manik..helping the girl who scored a 100 on science! I always wante dto see something like this when Manik was doing his puzzle! I knew my manan were pure geeky ppl!!

And that frog thing awww how they both made it and Nandini begging him to do the "earring" and taking the selfie!!!!

So cute they were!!!

Love that part.

As for the noodle..chalo, it wouldn't have added much to the scene to be honest, and lets face it, if we didn't know about it through the precap, then it wouldn't have bothered us.

BUT one thing I loved the most yesterday...my favorite...MaNan walking today hand in hand!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugss to vaishu, genie, jaanii twinkle and to all whom I missed!!!! Jaani so nice to see you here!! But yeah I see u guys everyday on twitter..Twinke..I loved your review on Twitter..awesome!

Thanks Genie for taking time out to answer my questions. Yes, I prefer the diary to the blog which itself is lame considering that Manik was laid up in hospital for 4 months and for some strange reason couldn't contact Fab3 or Nandu, although he had time to check her blog.

When I was checking the credits of season 1 and season 2 to understand the difference between a creative head and creative director, I noticed that RY's name continued in the credits till Episode 249 which included the scenes I mentioned. This corroborates with her post here in the forum about her quitting which was on August 3rd, presumably her last day with the show. Now whether she had the freedom to show what she wants or was she sick during this period I have no clue but Nandu's character assassination took place while she was technically part of the show.

There were 15 episodes aired after that and season 1 wound up in episode 265. There were no creative heads or creative directors mentioned for the remaining episodes on season 1. Maybe Karishma was assisting during this time. The Watwanis were writing for the show and it was said that RY gave the sketch for the remaining story. The execution was pathetic without any person officially taking responsibility of the show during this phase.

The moot point is lack of communication by the leads, particularly the female lead was a thing of the past and not confined to this season alone. Yes, the writing in this season is shoddy to say the least. That is partly because the team had to keep changing the story as per the availability or otherwise of the main lead. That does not absolve them of failing to do their homework regarding their characters but if the creator of those characters was unable to ensure that the characters were not massacred, what interest or attachment would a step creator have?

Anyway, what is done is done. Hope the new CV feels more for the characters than her predecessor did and more importantly hope there are no conflicts within the team when it comes to planning and execution of the Manan scenes.

Fully agree with this. There is an overall improvement in all the depts- writing, execution and acting. More importantly Pani are working as a team again.

Opti - I mentioned RY's point as per my knowledge. I don't check the credits because they goof it up , always. I believe they still show Swamy as channel head when the man has left the channel ages back. So, yes, I don't go with the technicalities.

Karishma promoted the scene - with the hands and I do think she was part of the show. If the buck , stops it's with the PH , whatever happened then. Yet, I don't particularly feel FL was massacred to that extent to what happened in S2 . Nope . Why was Nandini dumped down so bad and Arya glorified because the pattern not only continued in S2 but was glorified to greater heights. The whole time we actually even then wondered why MaNan were sidelined for this character and the same problem happened in S2.To me it seemed Karishma's creativity.

MaNan were RY's creations, through and through. By the time , she left , MaNan story was done. There is nothing to them, they have reached that level of content and this is all an extended epilogue . The whole "massacre" of the story never happened ,because for me the story ended with it. Even now, it's the epilogue of MaNan , not a story. So the whole idea of S2 was always dead.

S2 was a mess because you ignored death. There is a difference in muting a character for a twist but here a character was muted out about a story . Heck they muted Navya about Cabir.

Whenever in S1 Nandini went through a problem- which for me was always only during crucial twists and turns - they always backed it up with substance or gave me something to invest back. Atleast tried compensating it.

S2 was vindication completely. Not only your FL lost the basic traits that were part of her very primate sketch , but she was not only muted but made into a side character , even though the whole season was sold on her name. There is no excuses to what happened to Nandini, this season and I will blame the person who promoted S2 even when S1 was not over and who took charge of it. There was a solid story over Nandini's angst , her struggle , her fight for truth, but nothing was build or addressed.

She was not muted, she was denied a story . Not for some twist or plot . Blog over diary? Violence to a girl who hated it? I could go on and on to what happened to Nandini.

Things didn't improve when Manik was back, both muted down - sidelined , the whole show became Arya's story . Every other random character was using "meta" of the show to put down MaNan and their story. Pretty funny to blame the one creator who managed and gave a beautiful story, the depth of MaNan love was such that anyone could have explored the potential of angst even for a bit, made Nandini something else but the "new creator" mistreated everything, gave prominence to Arya since S1 ..the love affair is so easy to see.

Anyway, we can always agree to disagree. But for me, the fact that it took this team 4 episodes to not only give them longing of MaNan, the essence and them addressing Cabir- says it all which , the previous "step creator" failed to even address for last 1 month. There rests all the difference.

Anyway, last post for now. I have enjoyed this week alot, always trusted PaNi and finally they are allowed to be MaNan. GoodLuck to them.

Re: noodle thing...if you watch the scene again, it makes even more sense why they took it out...noodle scene was aevein moving from goofy fun moments towards random makeout session...while the rest of the visuals like origami, bubble blowing, painting the stars and constellation were all about focusing on the sweetness...so it made sense to take out the one bit that was not going with the rest of the flow...I say GOOD JOB to the editing team for thinking about FLOW and maintaining that for this song sequence.
