Chapter 16

MANIK-Ssh, ssh, shh, sshh, shh...

Nandini- hello you whatever your name is... why are you staring at me???

Aryaman- (breaking his gaze) no...no nothing like that... (Cleared his throat)...

Aryaman thought to himself " Mom said she is a soft spoken girl, doesn't drink, has no affairs...then why is she being rude... aur yeh Vodka...there is something fishy... I need to find out..."

Nandini- Mr. I don't have the entire day to waste on you...I know you wanted to meet a SATI-SAVITRI type girl... sorry dude I am not one... (Gave a sarcastic smile to him and sipped the water in her vodka glass).

Aryaman- Well I am no RAM to get a SITA... in fact I am happy you aren't those typical serial girl... it looks like you aren't interested in marrying me... I mean you can say No...But, I won't Nandini... itni jaldi kya hai...let's meet again...how about going clubbing tonight...

Nandini was shocked to hear that, her own game went off for a toss...but she didn't show it to Aryaman... She knew she can't say No to her parents, it has to be Aryaman who has to say No...she composed herself...

Nandini- why should I go with you anywhere...Look don't try your smartness ok... (Being a bit rude)...You better say No and go back...

Aryaman- (leaned a bit forward on the table) kyun darr gayi...well agar aisa nai hai toh let's meet tonight...and ya don't worry about your parents I'll speak to them... (Gave an evil smile and then relaxed back on his chair)

Nandini gave him an angry glare...

Aryaman- (smirked) cool...I'll pick you up at 9 p.m...

Nandini- No thanks... I'll come with Navya on my own... can we leave now (giving him a stern smile...)

Nandini got up and was damm angry on him, but then she felt as if Manik was around and her heart skipped a beat... Aryaman was now sure she is doing all this purposely... He smiled and then left behind Nandini...Manik was about to get up and punch Aryaman but FAB 5 stopped him... Navya too went when Nandini left...

Cabir- Manik don't get hyper... aab toh Nandini is also on our side... Aryaman ko hum club mein dekh lenge in OLD FAB 5 STYLE...

Manik's anger calms down a bit...And they all leave for their rooms...But, Manik excuses himself as he wanted to see if Nandini was fine.

MANIK'S POINT OF VIEW-

I was happy to see that Nandini wasn't interested in him and a ray of hope that I had was now brighter...I was a bit shocked to see her 'actress avatar'...she was too good...but clubbing that too with that jerk...I said to myself " I have to keep that jerk away from My Nandini..."

I saw Nandini was in deep thoughts when she went back to her parents... Aryaman had convinced her parent's so easily that he wanted to take Nandini out tonight... and her so-called 'strict mom' readily allowed her... I had realised he won't back-off so easily.

NANDINI'S POINT OF VIEW-

8:00 p.m., Nandini's Home

I was feeling a bit weird as why I felt Manik was somewhere around me in the hotel...I had felt him that time. I said to myself "Bappa, what's happening...why am I feeling Manik everywhere now...(sad pout)...how is it possible that stupid is in Mumbai...aa nahi sakta tha mere liye...hhhuhhh...Bappa, what if he doesn't feel the same way I do..."

I wanted to know whereabouts of Manik and also if he was still angry with me...I decided to call Dhruv...

[Dhruv was with Manik and others in Manik's room...He was a bit shocked to receive Nandini's call...Manik asked him to put the phone on speaker...]

"Hi Dhruv how are you?"

Dhruv- Hi Nandini...I am good...what happened...

"Vohh...how is Aliya..."

Dhruv- (confused) she is fine...

"Acha (paused)...tum log kaha ho?"

[Cabir chuckled as he knew Nandini wanted to know about Manik...and winked at him... Dhruv understood too]

Dhruv- we are in Delhi... had some work...

I was shocked to hear that... somehow unknowingly I spoke up "ohhh that's why I was feeling Manik was around me..."

[Manik was a bit surprised to hear that...he indicated Dhruv to ask further...]

Dhruv- what did you say??

I realised what I said, but I wanted know if Manik was fine..."Aaahhh nothing...vohh Dhruv... (Hesitatingly) Is Manik still angry with me????"

[Manik was mesmerised by the way she asked about him and then indicated him to chuck that question...]

Dhruv- ya he is ok...Are you fine? I mean did you like that guy you met?

"Obviously no Dhruv...he is a jerk...guess what? he wants me to go clubbing with him and only after that he will give his answer...I really don't like him...I mean how can I think about anyone when I know that I can't marry anyone else except..." I realised I was about to confess and stopped...and bit my tongue...

[Manik's heart stopped beating when she said she can't marry anyone except... He badly wanted to know and indicated Dhruv to ask again...]

Dhruv- except????

I was now damm nervous and thought of changing the topic...It then occurred to me that I should call FAB 5 too for clubbing, that ways I would get to meet Manik...

"Forget that... Dhruv why don't you all also come please...I really can't be with that jerk...aur Manik ko bhi... " (Paused).

[Manik was blushing and then chuckled...He nodded his head and asked him to say yes...]

MANIK'S POINT OF VIEW-

I was on cloud 9 when she said she could feel I was around her and that she couldn't marry anyone else except...I just wanted to go and hug her tight for being so cute...Aarav was right Nandini was a TUBELIGHT in these matters, but somehow now I was liking it that she was LIKE THAT and how she blurted things in her innocence.

We all got ready and left for the club...

Cabir- so, guys Mission Aryaman Runaway is about to begin...Manik you better stay out of it... FAB 5 will take care of him...Just be with our future bhabhiji...but remember what Aarav said, let her come to you... ok...

I was blushing and my cheeks had turned to the shade of darkest red. I was dying to see Nandini... I just didn't understand how things between used to always-changed overnight... But, I was glad... Happy to see the other kind of concern Nandini had for me now...

CLUB-

We all entered the club and my eyes were just looking for Nandini... And there she was sitting with Navya and that jerk just at a small distance from me...I was completely mesmerized by the way she looked...She wore a red dress, my favourite colour with absolutely no make-up...just kohl and a gloss...Her hair were open and place on her shoulder...I just didn't know how she could always manage to look so beautiful, ravishing and sensuous yet being elegant...She was never overdressed or under dressed...always perfect...

And then, our eyes met...I stood there and our eyes didn't leave each other. Her eyes were different; she had a glow on her face that I had never seen before. She didn't speak but her eyes did all the talking... I had then noticed that she had very talkative eyes...

I was feeling content one seeing her, when Cabir came and placed his hand on my shoulder...

Cabir- Bro, stop your look look game...time for some action...

NANDINI'S POINT OF VIEW-

I wanted to go and hug Manik and tell him everything I had in my heart...But, I couldn't all because of that jerk Aryaman. He went to the drinks counter and then bought some drinks for me and Navya... I was gulping the saliva down my throat looking at the vodka shots he had bought... I was staring at them and then saw Aryaman who was smirking at me... I muttered some curses to him in my mind...there was no escape now... And then it struck me what I could do...

"Thanks for the drinks...but why not hit the dance floor first..."

He readily agreed and I gave him a fake smile...Seeing us approach the dance floor FAB5 and Navya too joined us. I had to escape the drinks, but I also somewhere wanted to get close to Manik... what I saw next just left me in a bewildered state. Manik was already on the dance floor with a girl who was all over him...

I did recognize her, she was Soha a quite famous model... and obviously more beautiful than me...I was sad to see Manik also enjoying her being around him . Manik didn't even try to come once near me and that got tears in my eyes, I excused myself from the dance floor and went to the Bar to get some water, though I hated it but had no one around I could spot to get it for me...

My eyes were fixed on Manik and Soha...I really wanted to give her a tight slap for being so close to him...And then I picked up a glass without looking at it from the counter and gulped it in one go...I felt the taste of it weird and it hit me that I had by mistake had alcohol...I just wanted to puke and get it out...I said to myself "how could I...dammm..."

However, the drink started to show its effect on me in a few minutes... I felt a bit dizzy and then Navya came to me...

Navya- Nadu are you all right??? (Worried)

"Navya look at Manik, he didn't even once asked me to dance with him...and that girl Soha... I just wanna slap her..." I was almost on the verge of crying now...

Navya- why?? you want him to look at you??

"Obviously, see I wore his favourite colour dress too... Navya then told me to go and meet Manik and she would handle Aryaman alongwith FAB 5...

I started to walk towards Manik and then I saw him looking at me finally... I felt a bit dipsy again and was about to trip when Manik held me by arms... I was lost in his deep beautiful eyes... A bright smile played on my lips after seeing him and all I could say was "Manik..." He smiled too...And then Soha came back...

MANIK'S POINT OF VIEW-

Nandini was in my arms and I found her a bit different looked like she was drunk...I wanted to ask her but Soha came in...

Soha- Manik you ok...who is she... (With a disgusted look)

Before I could answer the bold Nandini was back in form... She wrapped her hands around my neck and pulled me a bit towards her...I was a bit startled with her behaviour, but loved it and then Soha questioned again...

Soha- Manik, what is wrong with you, how can you allow any girl to be so close?

I got pissed off and spoke to her..."Stop it Soha, she is a friend...ok..." Hearing that Nandini removed her hands from my neck and her smile was gone... I couldn't understand what happened to her... "Nandini you ok..." Then her most cute expression of angry flustered look was on her face. Soha did leave that time.

I chuckled... But, then I realised she was drunk...but how...I thought it was better to take her home... She had been drunk for the 1^st time...She then placed her hand on my right cheek and said something that startled me...

Nandini- Manik am I not beautiful...bolo...

She asked me with so much innocence that I just wanted to eat her right away... But, I decided to tease her a bit, though I knew her state...

"Well you are ok... But, Soha is too hot... you know..."

I expected her to cry but here she got a bit aggressive...She held my jacket with her hands and came a bit close to me... Her proximity was driving me mad.

Nandini- Mr. Malhotra I can look hot too, just that I don't want to...stay away from her...

I loved her threatening... She was jealous and my heart was elated to see that...but before I could say anything she placed her head on my chest and I realised she wasn't able to handle the effect of alcohol... I placed my arms around her protectively and left for the exit. I reached my car and then called up Cabir and told him Nandini's condition and also to sort out the Aryaman Chapter.

I had taken her keys for home from Navya and was glad to know that her parents would be returning home around 2:00a.m. as they were out.Nandini was sleeping all this while and I just kept admiring her all the time... It was a short drive and we reached her home in G.K. EXTENSION 1.

I parked my car a bit away from her home and got out...then opened her door and lifted her in my arms. She was beautiful and I pecked her forehead and she smiled with her eyes closed... I started to walk towards her house and made Nandini stand and opened the front lock...after getting in I locked the front door again...she finally opened her eyes and smiled at me

Nandini- Manik...

I picked her up in my arms again and then walked towards her room that was upstairs. She was now again awake and I knew she was looking at me. I opened her room and placed her on the floor...I switched on the lights and closed the door behind us...

Nandini- Manik why am I feeling so hot...(she flew the few bangs of her hair that were on her eyes)...uff...

She then tried to unzip her dress and her back was facing me... I just kept staring at her bare back and then realised she would unzip her completely... I was shocked and then went ahead to stop her.

"Hey stop, stop, stop..."

I placed my hand on her zip and pulled it up again... But, I did touch her bare back once and her breath was hitched on my touch... I got a bit close to her and traced my fingers from her shoulders to her wrist... I was losing myself to her and was getting weak on my knees...but I couldn't go ahead and had to stop, it was damm hard for me... I composed myself and knew her parents would come anytime... She then turned to look at me and had a question in her eyes that I could read clearly Why did you stop...'

"Nandini come on go and change... come on go fast..." She gave me an angry glare and I took her towards her cupboard... She finally gave in like a good girl and picked her nightclothes and went inside her dressing area to change... I had to leave soon before her parents came.

I was waiting for her to come and then I would leave... but, then I heard music being played and looked around and found Nandini standing in her sleeveless t-shirt and pyjamas... She was coming towards me... I turned away from her to go and stop the music player, as her parents were about to come anytime... she held my wrist and the song started.

(Nandini then placed his both hands on her waist... She then kissed him on his cheek...)

(Manik made her lay on her bed and pulled the duvet on her...But, Nandini then held his hand again and nodded her head in a NO...)

(She sat on her bed and was looking down...Manik stood next to her...)

(Manik bend down and kissed her forehead... he loved his girl...but he had to go...)

(Nandini was about to speak something and Manik stopped her again... he just wanted to feel her and placed himself next to her... Then they again got close when Manik heard a door creek downstairs and straightened and placed his finger on her lips to tell her to b quiet...)

I got up from the bed and went to switch off the music player before anyone could hear it...I then went to the room door and peeped out...Her parents had arrived back and made way to their room...I finally felt releaved...I locked her room door and knew I can't leave now...I switched off the lights and then sat on the bed again...

Nandini smiled at me and placed her hand on mine... I placed myself next to her and pulled the duvet on us...She placed her head on my chest and I held her by her waist...

We both then had the most peaceful sleep of our lives...

BAPPA was extremely happy on seeing his kids together...He was content that they both slept peacefully in each others arms...He then smiled and closed his this screen for sometime till it was morning and went off to take care of other worldly matters...
