Chapter 2

One day while surfing though my FB account suddenly a Friend request popped up, it was of Manik Malhotra. Seeing his name i jumped out of bed in ecstasy and accepted it without giving it a second thought.

I laid down on the bed with a smile plastered on my face and went back a month in my head to remember our last meeting. It was weird though, just in two meetings i already felt that we had a connection. In just two meetings i started to like him, he made me laugh throughout the journey and i had found him cute when he ruffled his hair or bit his lips, his smile i guess was the most adorable thing about him. Then the realisation hit me, Wait! He sent me a request after a month? Idiot! Did he expect me to send him a request first or what? duh! i am a girl.

i got up just to find 4 messages from him - "Hi" "Remember me" "Hellooo" "Kahan gayi?"

oh shit! i was so engrossed in my own world that i didn't notice, without any further delay i replied him back. Gradually we started to chat a lot, during night hours, mornings, he gradually started taking all of my time. Though the chats started with silly, padhaku students wali talks but then we started discussing anything to everything, likes, dislikes, family etc. He adores his family the most, it's one of the reasons why i love him, it's very rare now but then he is one in a million too.

It was the D-day. IP results were out. Later in the day i checked my result and guess what? i was selected. Finally i was going to be a medico.

The first thing that came to my mind was to tell Manik about it and subconsciously i opened my FB account just to message him only to find a similar news from his side. yes, we both were going to be medicos and study in the same college for the next 6 years, it was double bonus for me. I was on 7th heaven and my family thought that i was drunk.

In a way i was, i had started hallucinating all sorts of things that we both would do together. It was a wonderful feeling, and why not? He was more than a friend to me, i didn't know what he felt like though. Anyway I didn't have the time to think about it.
