Alya would have got the sympathy had she went after Manik for forcing Dhruv on her , that was her right. But she crossed a line when she went personal with Manik by bringing his relationship with Nandini twice in the conversation. She blamed him for the mess because he was not around and busy with his gf. Thats the worse thing ever.
She compared her hurt from Manik with Dhruv earlier too- during that ball fight . I didn't like it even then because I thought she was needlessly dragging and pondering over Manik again , guilt tripping the boy . And this was my fear. She went 10 paces ahead and made it all about "MaNan" than her.
How many times am I suppose to excuse her in the name of venting, once, twice but it's a cycle now! Since the time she lashed out at Manik for being with Nandini and letting their album go to now. 4 times .
Like AY said , her anglicized demeanor gets her the so called pity card.
If she would have called out on Manik's saviour complex , i would have liked it or even his mothering tendencies but she didn't she made it personal by bringing his relationship with Nandini.
Also , wasn't she the one who told Dhruv about what all manik has done for them, it's not like she is unaware?
It didn't even came out as a vent or spur of the moment, she pretty much was cold and on point with what she had to say.
Her hurt ended up being jealousy and pettiness because if she wasn't happy or well, her friend shouldn't be.
If I am to take Alya's depression and insecurities in account then what about Dhruv- he has had insecurities wrt Manik all his life, he was pushed into spiral by Alya too . Even he apologized but the insecurities didn't go away just like Alya says that she has nothing against Nandini (cruel)..So how does she get a free pass and not him?
