Hello beautiful ladies...
Here comes most exciting and nervous phase of mine to write... The engagement... I estimated it will have around 8 parts to it so I will divide it in 2 chapters... And out of which 2 are hear... Its just a trailer kinda chappies... I dint wanted to write this chapter and. Start with engagement but many are not understanding nandini in the story so had to add this chappy... Ohky enough of me...here uu go...enjoy...

CHAPTER 30 - THE D DAY
Mukti's house was turned into a crowded hall with no of professional workers working around. Where everyone was indulged in their own tasks for the most awaited day; the day of engagement, nandini stood by a open French window deep into her thoughts. Her brain was messed up she don't know what to think and what not to. What feeling are to be felt and what are wrong. The pain was eating her up by each passing second. Her thoughts wandered to the time when she used to dream about her life with manik, how there days would be,her hear screamed out of restlessness. Most frustrating thing was that she had no one to talk about the turmoil she is going through. Whom should she talk. After her decision, she don't expected everyone to get along with it. But to her surprise they all did. Now she has no right to complain about her pain to anyone because she has herself put them in such situation. She closed her eyes letting the cool breeze ease her pain as she tried to shut all the messy thoughts coming to her head. when her brain screamed "Nandini, it was you who took this decision so be firm at it. First you wanted people around you to understand the reason behind your this decision but now when everything is going fine why are you having double thoughts about it. Its about Arushi...your Franky... She has suffered a lot in her life. She had to indulge to earn her own bread and create herself in the world. She deserves to be happy. At the end of the day she deserves a family too at which she could look upon...which i couldn't give her. You always wanted manik to be happy. You wanted manik to have a stable family. So why give it another shot. But another confusion which I can find answers is why manik is behaving normally.Just go with the flow. Let destiny take us where ever we are destined too"
She slumped back on the bed as she was tired of her overtime working heart and brain. When door was kicked open by Arushi.
"What exactly are you thinking" asked Arushi with crooked eyebrow looking at nandini lying on bed with close eyes.
"Why is manik behaving so normally" blurted out nandini with closed eyes still in deep thought that she don't realise it was not her head and heart fight but she was blurting it out to Arushi.
"As in?"Arushi scrunched her eyebrows in confusion.
"He is going around casually teasing and flirting around after all that happened between us" said nandini referring to her break off with manik.
"Hmm!!! That's normal thing between jija- saali relation" said Arushi casually after giving it a thought.
That is when she got answer to her messed head and heart. She opened her eyes immediately only to see a smile Arushi looking towards her.
"So are you telling me you are actually having this sad-fest because you find that abnormal to see manik's normal behaviour" said Arushi in confusion
Nandini turned to look at arushi "Sad-fest? I am not having a sad-fest!"
"Then why are you lying on the bed like a Devdas?" Asked Arushi sarcastically.
Nandini sat up immediately. "Happy?"
"No! Of course not! We have a function to get to in an hour and half and you haven't even picked out your dress yet!" Scolded Arushi.
"I don't even have a dress to wear..." said nandini with a sad pout.
"What exactly is your problem?"Arushi asked, looking at nandini. "That you have to spend the night with abnormally behaving manik or that you have to wear a nice dress and high heels and pretend that you like them for a good six hours?"
"Both!"
"Well for the first, I can't help u in that. That's between you two. And for second, you will absolutely be gorgeous once I am through with you, so you won't even feel the pain of wearing a nice dress and high heels! After all you are Arushi singla's sister... My nanu!." Said arushi making nandini smile. " wait for a moment your dress will be right here"
To which nandini got excited and said "Yeah! It is bliss to have a designer sister" hearing which Arushi smirked.
"Here you go" said mukti entering the room with red and dull golden lehenga with heavy embroidery all over it. Mukti was struggling to stand straight while holding it as it was so heavy shocking nandini to wits.
"I am not gonna wear it" said horrified nandini standing up on the bed.
"Nandini, I am not giving you options" said Arushi which stone face making nandini realise it won't be any use of arguing with her
"Franky! Just think, how would it look that bride maid feel on her face flat in the floor due to overloading ornaments and clothes on her" said nandini giving her luck a try.
"How many sisters do you have in totality that you wanna go light with your self. Don't you wanna look most beautiful in your one and only sisters wedding and I specially designed this for you overnight myself." Said Arushi playing her cards of emotional blackmailing.
"Whatever, I just know that I will look like a freaking bride" said nandini giving in and taking lehenga from mukti's hand." And yes I wanna change my words what I said few minutes ago... Bliss to have a designer sister has its own consequences" making Arushi and mukti burst in laughter.

So, bro all set to go?" Cabir asked as he entered manik's room while manik was fixing his handcuffs. Cabir was looking down that he missed to look at dashing manik malhotra, was dressed perfectly in formal crisp navy blue jodhpuri suit giving him princely look from top to toe.
Cabir looked up from only to stand stupefied at his brother's form. "Bro, if looks could kill seriously, the death rate would have been innumerable," he said grinning sheepishly at manik's Grecian features. Just when Navya took out a bandage from her diamond studed clutch and started rolling on his hand.
"Navya, what the hell are you doing... I am not hurt!" said a horrified manik to which Navya gave a deaf ear and continued her work.
"I told you not to trust her with her plans. She will come out with this filmy plan... Yuck." Said annoyed Cabir.
"What plan!" Asked manik out of confusion.
"Don't you remember DDLJ" said cabir with extra sweet smile.
"What is DDLJ" asked manik.
"Arree! DDLJ is dilwale dulhaniya le jayege... Hayee how hot srk looked in it. And the cute smile he had when he saw kajol's bandaged hand so that ceremony gets delayed." Said navya lost in srk dreamy land.
"What!" Said manik jerking his hand back. " have you lost it...what makes You think this crap of filmy scene will stop the ceremony today" said disgusted manik while taking out the bandage out of his hand.
"Cabir, a friendly advice... Throw all the DVD's out of your house even disconnect the TV cable because your girl is getting hazardous for her surrounding" said manik making Navya pout in anger towards both men in front of her. Just when aliya and dhruv entered.
"Oh my my! Someone's looking dead drop handsome" said aliya while hugging manik.
"And someone is looking as beautiful as ever" said manik with a sly smile to which aliya grinned.
"Buddy! What's this...did you get hurt?" Asked worried dhruv seeing open bandage hanging loosely on his hand.
"No! Its madhubala behind it" said Cabir to which dhruv rolled his eyes and said" I can understand the rest of the back story to it" making everyone laugh but left Navya pouting in anger.
"Guys let's go! We are already running late I don't wanna miss even a single glimpse of manik's wedding functions" said aliya out of excitement.
To which all nodded with smile and started leaving the room to leave for the venue.
While entering the car, Cabir was in deep thoughts and asked " Manik, what about Nyonika... Have you invited her or even better informed her"
Hearing which manik smiled sarcastically and said " News channels and media are fast enough these days isn't it" to which Cabir smirked and drove to the venue.
