Chapter 8 A

"Hi guys..!!" Manik greeted Fab4 smilingly and picked up his guitar. Suddenly he noticed that all of them were staring at him. "Kya hua guys?" Manik asked worriedly. "Why are you all staring at me?"

"Manik..!! Tu nay time dkha hai..!!"Mukti said angrily.

"Manik you are late..!!" Alya said angrily.

"Yes buddy actually very late..!!"Dhruv added.

"Guys chill..!! Manik ko 4 long years baad Nandini mili hai tou..!!" Cabir said sarcastically and Manik showed him eyes.

"Shut up Cabir..!!" Manik shouted. "Guys chill..!! Wo Manvi aur Nandini ko drop krny me dare ho gai..!!" He tried to clear his point and all laughed.

"Haan haan..!! Ab hmy kya pta tou Nandini ko drop kar raha tha ya kuch aur..!!" Cabir was about to say something when Manik put his palm on his mouth. All again started laughing.

"Ok guys...!! Let's go on stage..!!" Alya tried to sort out the fight. All started preparing themselves. Suddenly Manik's phone buzzed. Caller ID was of Nandini.

"Hi baby..!!" Manik said cheerfully.

"Hi Mani..!! Wo I just called to tell you that I will be a little late...!! Tou tum agr jaldi free ho jaoa tou Mano ko pick kar laina..!! Wo 1 pm tak free ho jati hai..!!" Nandini explained with full motherly concern and Manik smiled.

"Ok Madam..!! Anything else..!!" Manik asked naughtily.

"Yeah..!! I will call you when I will be free phr tm mjy bhi pick kar laina ok?" This time Nandini's voice was cheerful.

"Ok..!! Kaam ho jye ga..!!" Manik said smilingly and he heard Nandini's laugh from other side.

"Ok Mani..!! I have to go..!! You take care bye..!!" Nandini said lovingly and she was about to hung up when she heard him calling her name.

"Nandu..!!" Manik said.

"Haan..!!" Nandini asked lovingly.

"You know I love you right?" Manik asked in a different tone.

"I know Mani..!! And I love you too..!!"Nandini said lovingly.

"Ok..!!" Manik said slowly.

"Mani kuch hua hai?" Nandini asked curiously.

"No..!! Nothing..!! Ok bye..!!" Manik said immediately and hung up. He was confused. How will he tell Nandini that he was feeling insecure...!! He knew that he love her..!! She love him..!! But why? Arrgghh..!! Main pagal ho jaoan ga..!!" He thought.

"Manik chal..!!" Cabir called him as it was time to rock the stage. Then Fab5 litrelay rocked the stage. The concert was a cracker. After the concert Fab5 were sitting in hotel room. Totally tired and exhausted.

"Yaar it was the best the concert ever..!! I mean we cracked it guys...!! After so long..!!" Mukti said excitedly.

"I think the good luck is because of Manvi...!!" Alya said smilingly and all nodded. Manik was smiling on this when suddenly he got up with a jerk.

"Tjy kya hua?" Cabir asked mockingly.

"Ohh My God guys...!! It's 2:30..!! I had to pick up Manvi at 1..!! No..!! I am very late..!! God..!! She must be crying..!! I have to go..!!" Manik freaked out worriedly and run out. Fab4 smiled.

"Manik badal gya hai na..!!" Alya said smilingly.

"But he changed for good..!!" Dhruv said and all nodded.

Manvi was sitting alone in the school. Only guard was left. He was waiting for Manvi to go so that he lock the school gates.

"Beta..!! Where is your Mama Papa?" He asked Manvi.

"Untall(Uncle) my Papa must be coming...!!" She told him and he noddingly left to guard the gates. It was very late. Manvi started crying.

"Main Mama Papa ko yad ni? Papa mjy bhool gye?" She thought innocently all the time crying badly. Soon her eyes became puffy but there was no sign of her Mama and Papa.

Manik was driving crazily.

"How careless and dumb I am..!!" He mentally scolded himself. He reached Manvi's school in no time. He hurriedly got down of the car and run towards the gate. He noticed the school was empty. There was no hustle and bustle. He saw the guard.

"Sir..!! Your daughter is waiting for you from so long..!!" Guard told him and it increased Manik's guilt. Manik went inside the school and he saw Manvi sitting on a staircase. She was crying badly. Manik felt his heart stopped beating seeing his love crying so badly.

"Manvi..!!" He shouted her name. Hearing her name Manvi looked at Manik and she run towards him. Manik too run towards her and soon he picked her up in his arms. And again she started sobbing hard.

"Shhh..!! Bus Papa ki jaan..!!"Manik tried to shush her.

"Papa..!! Ap mjhy bhool gye..!!" She asked between her sobs and Manik was diving in the pool of embarrassment.

"No bacha..!! How will I forget you..!! Ap tou meri jaan ho...!! It's just I was busy in concert that's why..!!" Manik tried to explain and Manvi hugged him tightly.

"I thought that you left me alone again..!!" She said sadly and Manik was feeling ashamed of himself. When his daughter will start trusting him?..!!

"No baby..!! I will never leave you I promise..!!" Manik whispered sadly. He composed and broke the hug. "Chalo bus ab mera brave baby nahi roye ga..!!" Manik said and wiped her tears. "Ice cream khayen?" Manik asked to cheer her up and she instantly nodded. Manik kissed her puffy eyes and came out of the school. Manvi was still afraid so she rested her head on Manik's shoulder. Manik sat in the car. Manik tried to made Manvi sit on the seat beside him but she again started crying.

"Ok ok..!! Sorry..!! Meray pass bethna hai?" Manik asked and she innocently nodded. Maybe she had a doubt that if she will sit away from Manik he again left her. So she cling to him tightly. Manik made her sit in his lap. She wrapped her arms around his waist and rested her head on his chest. Manik gently kissed her hair and kept talking to her to lit up her mood. Soon they reached an ice cream shop. Manvi wasn't ready to walk so Manik again picked her up and got down of the car.

"So meray baby ko kon sa flavor khana hai?" Manik asked Manvi.

"Umm..!! Chocolate..!!" Manvi exclaimed smilingly and Manik sighed seeing her in a good mood.

"Okay..!! So Mr.Shopkeeper..!! One chocolate ice cream..!!" Manik said and soon Manvi was licking the ice cream happily. Manik came out of the shop.

"Papa...!!" Suddenly Manvi shouted and Manik became worried.

"What happened baby?" Manik asked worriedly.

"Papa..!! Balloons..!!" Manvi shouted excitedly pointing towards a balloon vendor.

"Manvi..! Aisy chilaty hain? Dar gya tha me..!!" Manik scolded her and she smiled sheepishly.

"Papa sholly(sorry) please balloons...!! I want balloon..!!" Manvi said cutely wrapping her arms around Manik's neck.

"Ok..!!" Manik said smilingly.

"I love you Papa..!! You ale(are) the beesshhttt(best)...!!" She exclaimed and clapped her hands as she had finished her ice cream.

"I love you too..!!" Manik said smilingly and pecked her forehead. Manik walked towards the balloon vendor. Manvi's eyes were sparkling seeing the balloons.

"Which color..!!" Manik asked Manvi.

"Waisy tou I like all but Red is my favolite(favorite)...!!" She again exclaimed.

"Oky..!! Bhaiya g..!! Ya sary balloons day dain..!!" Manik said to the vendor and Manvi's eyes popped out in happiness.

"Shaaly?(sary)..!!" Manvi said in a disbelief. She never ever in her life had got so much balloons.

"Yes..!! Sary..!!" Manik said smilingly and vendor gave him all the balloons. Manik handed over the thread of a red balloon to Manvi. She was so excited. Manik himself held the thread of all other balloons. He walked back to the car and tied the threads of all the balloons with the car. Manvi was very much happy. Manik then sat in the car and his phone beeped. Caller ID was of Nandini.

Chapter 8 B

"Manvi..!! Mama ka phone..!!" Manik told Manvi and hearing about Mama she smiled excitedly.

"Me bhi baat kaloon(karoon) ge...!!"Manvi said happily and Manik nodded he picked up the call and put the phone on speaker.

"Hello..!!" Manik and Manvi said in unison.

"Hello my sweeties..!!" Hearing them Nandini too exclaimed from other side.

"Mama..!! Me and Papa ale(are) enjoying a lot..!!"Manvi exclaimed and Manik smiled.

"Acha..!! You both are enjoying without me..!!" Nandini said with a faking sadness.

"Ni Nandini..!! Aisa ni hai..!!" Manik tried to explain.

"Relax Mani..!! I was just joking...!!" Nandini said laughingly and MaNi too laughed."I called you that come and pick me up..!!"

"Ok..!! We are coming..!!" Manik said cheerfully and after saying goodbye they hung up.

"Papa..!! Mjy bhoook lagi hai...!!" Manvi said making a pout.

"Awww mery bety ko bhook lagi hai..!! Bus thora aur wait kar lo after picking up Mama we will go for lunch ok meri jaan?" Manik said smilingly and Manvi nodded. She again hugged Manik's waist and all the drive to Nandini's college Manik kept pecking Manvi forehead and hair time to time. Manik's touch and his care was so soothing that Manvi unintentionally fell asleep.

"So what my bacha want to eat today?" Manik asked softly caressing her hair but no reply. "Manvi..!!"He again called her but again no reply. He look at her and she was asleep. Manik smiled and again pecked her forehead. Meanwhile he reached Nandini's college but what he saw in front of him was enough to jam his nerves. NANDINI IN YASH'S ARMS...!!

Nandini came out of the college because she knew Manik must be coming any time. She was standing near the college gate.

"Hi Prof.Nandini...!!" Again Yash came to her.

"Oh hi Prof.Yash..!!" Nandini was surprised to see him again.

"Waiting for a rickshaw? Need a lift? I'll drop you home..!!" Yash offered.

"No No..!! It's completely fine Prof.Yash..!! My husband is coming...!!" Nandini said smilingly.

"Husband?" Prof.Yash asked in a surprising tone.

"Yes..!! Why are you so surprised?"Nandini asked.

"No it's just I always thought that you are a single mother..!!" Yash said sadly.

"Haven't you seen this sindoor and Mangalsutra?" Nandini asked in a surprising tone.

"I am sorry Nandini..!! I thought that apki apny husband say separation ho gai hai..!! I am really sorry..!! I have always respected you..!! I wanted to propose you..!!" As soon as Yash said all this Nandini's breath hitched in her throat."Agr Manik ko pta chal gya na Yash then you will be in swear trouble..!!!" She thought worriedly.

"Please Prof.Yash..!! I love my husband alot..!! I have a family..!! I am very disappointed that you thought all that about me..!!" Nandini said angrily.

"I am so sorry..!! I really didn't mean to hurt your feelings..!! I wish that you will always be happy with your husband and daughter..!! I will never ever talk anything of like this again..!! But we will be friends na?" Yash said in a apologetic tone. Nandini felt bad for Yash so she nodded. "Thank you so much..!!" Yash said smilingly. Nandini was about to walk away when suddenly her foot slip and she was about to fall when Yash held her. He made her stand properly.

"Thank you..!!" Nandini thanked him and suddenly she heard Manik's car horn. Yash and Nandini look at the direction of horn and Nandini saw Manik. Yash who was still holding her arms left her. She smiled at Manik but Manik didn't smiled in response. She ignored it. Manik gestured her to come in.

"He is Manik Malhotra...!!" Yash said in a shocked tone seeing THE MANIK MALHOTRA..!! "IS he your husband?"

"Yes...!! He is my husband..!! Ok bye Prof.Yash..!!" Nandini said smilingly and run towards Manik's car. She opened the front seat door and sat inside.

"Hello Mani..!!"Nandini said excitedly but Manik just nodded his head. She felt a little awkward but she tried to lit up the mood. "How was your concert?" She again asked. But Manik's nerves were totally out of order now. When Nandini didn't got a reply she became worried. "Mani? Kuch hua hai?" She asked worriedly.

"Nandini..!! Can't you see Manvi is sleeping..!! So please just shut up..!!" Manik said angrily and Nandini felt that she heard something wrong. She look at Manik in disbelief.

"Manik..! Tum nay mjy shut up bola?"She asked in a low tone.

"Hann..!!"His simple "haan" was like a bomb for her. She kept quiet and turned her face. She kept looking out of the window and tried her best to control her tears. Manik was in so much anger that he didn't noticed what he said to Nandini. Soon they reached home and Manik without waiting for Nandini get down of the car with Manvi in his arms and went inside the house. Tears welled up in Nandini's eyes but she rubbed them away and followed Manik. When she came in the house she saw Manik coming out of Manvi's room. She walked towards him but he ignored her. He was about to walk away when Nandini held his hand.

"Manik..!! What is wrong? Why are you not talking to me?" Nandini asked worriedly.

"You ask this question to yourself Nandini Manik Malhotra...!!" Manik shouted angrily.

"Manik..!! Why are you getting so hyper? Baat kya hai?" She asked as now her eyes had tears in them.

"Nandini leave me alone for sometime please...!!" Manik knew if he will kept talking to Nandini he will surely say something bad to her.

"No..!! I will not leave you alone..!! Tell me what the hell happened? Why are so much furious?" This time Nandini too shouted.

"Because I saw you in that bas***d's arms..!!" Manik shouted and kicked the glass table of the lounge it shattered in pieces. Nandini was numb on her place.

"Mani..!! It's not like that..!! Jo tum soch rahy ho na waisa kuch nahi hai..!!" She said and tried to cup his cheeks but he pushed her hands away.

"Nandini..!! Please..!! Mjy akela choor do for sometime..!! Bulky main khud he chala jata hoon..!! I will be ok..!!" Manik said in a low sad tone and walked out of the house. Nandini sat down on the floor and tears started rolling down her cheeks. She heard the sound of Manik's car engine he must have drove away. Nandini thought that there was nothing changed in their relation but she was wrong. She knew Manik was possessive about her but with the pace of time this possessiveness will increase this much she had never ever thought...!!

Ik khoya khoya chaand tha jo tha khafa khafa

(Nandini cried hugging her knees and Manik was driving crazily..!! The sight of Nandini in Yash's arms was setting him on fire..!!)

Ik toota toota khwaab tha jo tujhse tha juda

(Manik closed his eyes and think about Nandini)

(Nandini cried her heart out thinking about Manik's words..!!)

Tum mill gaye to jaane kyun ye doori ho gayi

(Manik stopped his car on a hill and sat on the ground. Nandini tried to pick up the broken glass but it hurt her fingers..!!)

(Manik shouted in between his cries and Nandini throw the glass piece away and again started crying)

(Manvi woke up and came to Nandini..! She held her bleeding hand and tried to wipe the blood with tissue..!! She was also crying..!!)

(Nandini tried to pretend in front of Manvi that she was happy but she failed)

(Manik thought about all his happy moments with Manvi and Nandini..!! And shook his head all the time smiling sadly..!!)

(Again the hurting site came in Manik's mind he again started crying..!!)

Har lamha lamha teri hi yaadon se tha ye bhara

(Nandini got up from the floor without saying anything to Manvi and came in her room..! She saw the bed and again the happy moments with Manik flashed in her mind..!!)

(MaNan thought about each other and cried more and more..!!)

(Nandini collapsed on the floor due to low blood pressure and Manik kicked the rocks in anger.)

Chapter 8 C

Manvi knocked on Nandini's door but she didn't opened. Manvi became worried.

"Mama..!! Open the door please...!!" Manvi shouted worriedly.

"Kya kaloon(karoon)..!!" She thought worriedly. "Papa ko phone kaloon(karoon)?" She again thought. She picked up Nandini's cell phone. Opened the contacts.

"Ab ish me shay Papa ka numbel koon sha hai? (Ab is me say Papa ka Number kon sa hai)..!!!" She murmured worriedly. "Mano..!! Papa's name start with M..!! So that means you should check in M yes...!!" Suddenly that idea hit her mind. She searched the M contacts and luckily there was only Manik's contact in M she quickly called Manik.

Manik was sitting there crying. He was feeling himself helpless.

"I missed you so much Mani..!!"

"I want you to remind me this every night..!!"

"Mani I love you..!!"

Nandini's words were echoing in his mind and he shut his eyes.

"What the hell are you doing Manik?" His heart scolded him."Tu apni Nandini par shak kar raha hai..!! Chii..!! Itna gir skta hai tu..!!" His heart was shouting on him.

"Shut up...!! Shak galat nahi hai..!! She was in Yash's arms..!!" His mind fought with his heart.

"Tou? What if she was in Yash's arms? Every picture always have two sides..!!" His heart shouted.

"Oh shut up..!! Stop giving stupid logics..!!"Mind shouted angrily.

"Manik..!! I am not giving stupid logic..!! You have to choose that which side of picture is right one..!!" His heart said in simple words.

"Yeah...!! Meri Nandini aise nahi hai..!! I am doing wrong..!! After four long years we are together..!! She had already suffered a lot..!! Haan..!! I should go back..!!"Manik talked to himself and got up. Suddenly his phone buzzed. Caller ID was of Nandini. He picked up the phone and sat in the car.

"Hello Nandini I am sor..!!"He was about to said sorry when Manvi cut his words.

"Papa..!! Mama apny loom(room) ka dool(door) nahi khool lahi(rahi)..!! Ap please wapas aa jao..!!" Manvi said and she was crying. Manik felt his heart sank.

"Baby ap preshan nahi ho..!! Papa is coming..!! Stay with me on the phone...!! Rona nahi..!! Mama ka door knock karo..!!" Manik said and tried to calm himself. "It's all my fault..!!"Manik thought. Manvi again knocked the door but in vain. Manik was not far away from the house he reached there in no time. He run inside the house and saw Manvi banging the door. Manvi saw him and started crying.

"Shhh..!! Mera brave baby rona nai..!!" Manik cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears. Manik tried to open the door but it was locked. He pushed the door and with little effort he broke the door. The sight in front of him made him held his head. Nandini was lying on the floor and her fingers were bleeding. Manik and Manvi rushed towards her.

"Mama..!!" Manvi shouted and shook Nandini's shoulder. "Papa...!! Mama...!!" She was shouting Manik picked up Nandini and laid her down on the bed. Manvi was crying badly seeing her Mama like this. Manik was controlling himself with a lot of effort. He called one of the doctor he knew in Pune. Doctor said that he will be there in few minutes. Manik started dressing her fingers. Silent tears were rolling down his cheeks.

"Papa...!! Mama kuch bool q nahi laheen(raheen)..!!"Manvi asked Manik and he had no answer for it. "Mama uthain na..!!" Manvi said to Nandini but no response. Soon doctor came and he gave Nandini injection. He told Manik that Nandini collapsed because of low blood pressure and moreover she will gain her conscious soon. Manik kept patting Manvi's back all the time to make her sleep but she didn't slept. Her Mama was not talking to her how will she sleep. It's been two hours since the doctor left. When Nandini slowly opened her eyes. And she saw Manik near the window and Manvi was in his arms.

"Manvi..!!" Nandini called Manvi and both look at her.

"Mama...!!" She shouted happily and run towards Nandini and hugged her tightly.

"You scaled(scared) me..!!" Manvi complained and Nandini pecked her forehead. Manik was just standing near the window. He not for a once tried to come near Nandini. He was so embarrassed. He knew that Nandini must be angry on him. And he deserves it he knew..!! He quietly came to kitchen and dished out some food for Manvi and Nandini which he ordered some time back. Then he back to room. Manvi was sitting in Nandini's lap was playing with her bracelet. Manik sat in front of them. Nandini tearfully look at him and he lowered his head. Manvi became excited seeing her favorite chinese rice.

"Aj Papa apni princess aur Mama ko khana khilayen gay..!!" Manik said smilingly. Nandini was just looking at Manik and he didn't said any word to her nor he look at her. Manvi was now talking to him and Manik was feeding Manvi and Nandini one by one. Soon the dinner was done and Manvi cuddled to Nandini. Manik came out of the room and walked to the terrace. He sat on a chair there and kept gazing at stars. He was very much embarrassed. He was sitting there when he felt familiar pair of arms encircled his neck and rested her head on his shoulder.

"Are you still gusa on me?" Nandini asked sadly. Manik pulled her in his lap. She saw sad and so was he. He without saying anything fused his lips with hers. He kissed her like never before. He kissed her deeply and madly to which she replied equally this was a much needed kiss. Manik bite her lips possessively and she smiled between the kiss. After a long time they broke gasping for oxygen. Manik saw her swollen lips which just belongs to him..! He placed butterfly kisses on her lips to soothe his bites and also sucked them.

"Sorry..!!" Manik said sadly as tears welled up in his eyes.

"Shhh..!! It's ok..!! I love you..!!"Nandini shushed him by placing her finger on his lips.

"Tum mj say narz nahi ho?" Manik asked in a surprised tone.

"Bilkul bhi nahi..!!" She said smilingly and hugged Manik.

"Nandini..!! Wo Yash..!!"Manik said sadly.

"Mani..!! Yash is just my colleague..!! Nothing else..!! And when you saw me in his arms na at that time I was about to fall so he just helped me..!! And my crazy angry monster you took everything wrong..!!" She said smilingly and patted Manik's forehead. Manik pouted like a baby.

"You know na I am very possessive..!!"Manik complained like a child and Nandini smiled.

"Awww..!! Mera baby..!!"Nandini said lovingly and pulled his cheeks. She gently kissed his pout and he smiled.

"I love you..!!"Manik said lovingly.

"I love you too my possessive Monster..!!"Nandini said naughtily and poked his nose. Both giggled.

"Mama...!! Papa..!!" Suddenly they heard Manvi's voice. Nandini jumped of Manik's lap and saw Manvi standing there with sleepy eyes. She walked to her and picked her in her arms. Manik too followed her.

"Kay hua baby ko? Why are you up?" Nandini asked lovingly ruffling her hair and she smiled.

"Nothing..!! Papa..!! Mama sing for me na?"Manvi said looking at both of them and MaNan nodded smilingly. "Yupiess...!!"Manvi exclaimed.

Manik started:

(Manik Sang looking at Nandini and she smiled.Manvi was happy seeing her Papa Mama happy) '

(Manik sang and took Manvi in his arms. He twirled with her and made her look at the stars)

Dekha wahan pe aaj tera chehra hai
Main bhatakta huaa sa ek baadal hoon
Jo tere aasmaan pe aake thehra hai

(Manik sang looking deeply in Nandini's eyes and listening the lyrics her eyes became moist. Manik hugged and Manvi spread her arms on her Mama Papa.)

(Nandini sang looking at the sky and smiled seeing Manik)

Ek dusre se jo baandhe humein

Baahon mein nanhi si ik jaan ho

(Nandini sang and kissing Mavi's cheeks. Manik was just admiring his lady love. How beautifully she was conveying her words to him.)

Aabaad ho chota sa ghar
Lag na sake kisi ke nazar

(She again sang and Manvi jumped in her arms hugged her tightly.)

Mere dil mein jagah Khuda ki khaali thi
Dekha wahan pe aaj tera chehra hai
Main bhatakta huaa sa ek badal hoon
Jo tere aasmaan pe aake thehra hai
(Manik sang smilingly and picked up Nandini. Manvi was in Nandini's lap and walked towards the bedroom)

Manik laid down on the bed with his loves. Nandini was on Manik's left side and her head was on his shoulder and Manvi was completely lying over Manik hugging him tightly. With one hand Manik stroked Manvi's hair and with other he stroked Nandini's hair. Soon he noticed them fast asleep. He gently kissed their hair and he too drifted to sleep.
