Chapter 3 A

Next day everyone was sitting in Professor Sharma's lecture. There was still a little time in the class. Fab4 was chatting but Manik was staring at the door. Waiting for HER. Period bell rang but still she wasn't there. Manik didn't know why he was becoming restless. Soon all the students seated on their chairs. Seat beside Manik was empty. He was anxiously waiting for her. Professor Sharma came in the class and was about to start the class when Nandini came running.

"May I come in Sir..!!" She asked breathing heavily. Manik sighed in relief seeing her.

"You are late..!!" Professor Sharma said coldly.

"I know Sir and I am really sorry for that..!! I promise I'll never be late again..!!" She said lowering her head. Professor Sharma nodded. Nandini walked towards Manik and sat beside him. Manik felt relieved that she took a seat beside him.

"Hi..!! Good Morning..!" Nandini whispered weakly. Manik become shocked. He slowly bent near her.

"Haan? Did you talk to me?" Manik taunt her and she was again embarrassed. She nodded and for the first time look towards him. Manik gave her a whatever look. But deep inside his heart was doing somersaults on just Nandini wishing him a good morning.

"He is too much angry Nandini..!! An why won't he? You slapped him..!! Say sorry to him..!! I know he will not forgive me but it's ok..!!" Nandini thought. Manik was smiling inside. The class was over soon everyone left the class except Manik and Nandini. Manik was about to step out of the classroom when Nandini called him.

"Manik..!! Will you give me two minutes?" Nandini said in a low voice and Manik stopped.

"What? You want to slap me again?" Manik taunted her and Nandini was diving the pool of embarrassment.

"Umm..! No..!! Actually I..!! Wo mjy..!!" Nandini fumbled and Manik frowned.

"Speak up Nandini..!! I don't have whole for you..!!" Manik said in a little high pitch.

"I am sorry for slapping you yesterday I didn't mean it..!!" Nandini said all this in one go and run out of the classroom. Manik was standing there smiling like a fool.

"Nandini nay sorry bola..!! Am I imagining? Wow..!!" Manik spoke to himself. "What happened to me i should be angry on her and here I am smiling..!! Manik baba..!! Kuch tou garbar hai..!!" Manik again talked to himself naughtily.

"So students..!! Welcome to my music class.!!" Raghav Sir greeted everyone. It was time for music class everyone was very excited for this class including fab5 everyone was chatting with each other but there was a student who was standing quietly. Raghav noticed the small pettie girl who was standing all quiet.

"Ok students..! Attention..!! Today I have a task for you all..!! Specially for fab 5..!! You guys have to perform a duo..!!" Raghav said excitedly.

"What duo?"Manik asked a little confused.

"Let me explain..!!" Raghav said and he placed a fish bowl on the table. The bowl had lot's of folded papers in them. "There are names of you all in it..!! Boys name..!! Girls you have to come forward and pick up a chit..!! The name on the chit will be your partner...!!" Raghav explained and everyone clapped.

"Now it will be some fun..!!" Cabir said excitedly. He saw a girl who was winking at him. "Oh God this Navya..!!" Cabir was too much irritated by Navya. And Navya was the girl who was always behind him and Cabir always hide from her.

"Baby..!! I want to be with you..!! What if I'll got someone others name chit?" Alya asked worriedly and Dhruv consoled her. All the girls again started chatting and was panicking that who will be their partner. And all rushed towards the bowl to pick up the Except one girl who was still standing quiet. Manik was staring at her and she was standing there quietly lowering her head.

"Why is she so? Why don't she smile? Why don't she talk? What is the sadness in her eyes?" Manik was thinking all this when his thoughts were disturbed by Raghav's voice.

"You the girl in pink?" At last Raghav called that girl and she look at him.

"Me sir?" She asked with a little surprise.

"Yes you..! Nandini right? The scholarship girl..!! Come here pick up a chit..!" Raghav called her. She nodded and walked towards the bowl.

"Come on pick up..!!" Raghav encouraged her. She quietly picked up a chit and unfold it. The name on the chit was a shocker for her. She immediately look towards Manik. Manik gave her a what look?

"What Is the name on the chit Nandini..!!" Raghav asked politely.

"Manik Malhotra..!!" She said in a low voice but it was well enough to hear for all those girls who were dreaming to be Manik's partner. Manik who was standing with the wall leaning his back with it immediately stood straight and gave Nandini his all time famous smirk. He felt like jumping with joy.

"Sir I can't please shall I pick up another chit please?" Nandini pleaded to Raghav because she knew that she can't perform with Manik...!! No she can't control herself.!!. Manik frowned hearing Nandini's rejection.

"No Nandini..!! Manik is your partner and that is final..!!" Raghav said strictly and Nandini nodded her head. Manik again smiled. Nandini with a heavy heart walked towards Manik and stood beside him.

"No matter how much you try to ignore me..!! It seems it's in your fate to be with me always..!!" Manik slowly whispered in her ear and Nandini froze at her place.

Other girls started picking up the chits. The couples were like this:

Navya-Cabir. Navya was jumping with joy after being with Cabir and Cabir was cursing his fate.

Mukti-Abhimanyu. Here Abhimanyu was jumping with joy and Mukti was cursing her fate.

Dhruv-Alya. Both were a lot happy. There were other couples too.

Everyone performed extraordinary. During all the performances Manik was looking at Nandini. She was different he knew. She had a secret behind her sadness Manik guessed. He was so curious to know about her but she wasn't even looking at him. "Ok miss Nandini i have my ways..!!" Manik thought sheepishly. At last now it's time for the performance of the Rockstar and miss topper. Manik held his guitar and Nandini came in front of mic. She wanted to run away from the class but no..!! Her fate..!! Damn..!

Manik started the guitar nodes. Nandini was waiting for him to start the song .And the song he started make Nandini's breath stuck in throat.

Chapter 3 B

MaNan's trance broke when they hear a huge round of applause. Nandini saw Manik holding her hand. She immediately jerked his hand away.

"Bravo..!! You both sang with too much intensity Best performance of today..!!" Raghav Sir complimented them. Nandini who was hardly controlling her tears she run from the class without saying anything. Leaving everyone shocked.

"What happened to her?" Raghav said confusingly.

"I'll check her Sir..!!" Manik said and was about to go behind her when Fab4 stopped him.

"Manik..!! Kya chal raha hai?" All of them asked in unison.

"Guys..!! Please not now..!! I'll explain you all later..!!" Manik said hurriedly and run behind Nandini.

Nandini entered in a empty classroom and burst out in tears.

"Why? Why I am so weak..!! Why are you crying Nandini..!! Don't cry..!! Be strong bloody hell..!!" She shouted to herself.
She frustratedly banged her hand on one of the chair to her bad luck there was a nail. A big cut formed in her palm and instantly started bleeding.

"Bus is ki he kami the..!!" She kicked the chair. She sat on the floor and held her head with one hand. Blood was continuously oozing out of her other hand. She closed her eyes and leaned her head with the wall. After closing her eyes she dived in the sea of thoughts.

"Rahul please tell everyone the truth..!!" Girl shouted.

"What truth..!! Why are you blaming at me?" Rahul said innocently.

"Rahul please No...!! Don't do this..!!" Girl again shouted. She fell in Rahul's feet. "Please do some mercy..!!"

"You bit**..!! How dare you to blame my son?" Aarti aunty came and pull that girl up.

"Aunty please..!! I am not blaming..!! Your son rap..!!" Before the girl could complete her words Aarti slapped her hard.

"Don't you dare say anything about my son..!!" Aarti Aunty shouted and that girl held her cheek. She run towards her bhaiya.

"Bhaiya you trust me right? Please say something..!!" That girl pleaded to her bhaiya but he also turned her face.

"Bhabhi..!! You know na..!! You know that I have done nothing..!! Please..!!" The girl shook her bhabi's shoulder. And she look at her helplessly. That girl shook her head in disbelief.

"Why you guys are not believing me..!! Rahul is lieing please..!!" She yelled on top of her voice.

"Enough..!!" Her bhaiya shouted.

"Nandini..!!" Manik's voice brought her out of her daydream.

Manik was running in the corridors to find Nandini. He also don't know why he was doing all this. The only thing he knew was he had to find Nandini. He was passing a classroom when he saw Nandini through the door glass. She was sitting on the floor,eyes closed and blood was oozing from her hand. He rushed to in the classroom.

"Nandini..!!" He called her in a low voice. She opened her eyes and look at him. His eyes went to her hand the blood was constantly oozing.

"Nandini your hand?" Manik said and pointed towards her hand. It feels like that it wasn't paining to her."Let's go I'll take you to the medical room..!!" Manik said.

"I don't need your sympathies Manik Malhotra..!! I had said sorry for slapping you that doesn't mean I can't slap you again..!!" Nandini said in a cold tone and closed her eyes. Manik chuckled on her threat.

"What's so funny?" Nandini asked frowning her face.

"No..!!Nothing is funny..!! Main koi sympathie nahi dikha raha..!! It's just I want to help you..!" Manik said calmly.

"But I don't need your help..!!" Nandini said a little frustrated.

"Han..!! Wo you dikh raha that you don't need my help..!! If you don't wanna come to medical room I'll bring the band aid for you..!! Till then stay here..! Don't move..!!" Saying that Manik left to get some medical aid. Nandini wanted to go from there but she know that she can't disobey Manik Malhotra...!! It wasn't in her control.

After sometime Manik returned with first aid box. Manik knew that she will not go anywhere and he was right when he came back he saw her sitting in the same position.He sat beside her on the floor.

"Can I hold your hand now..!! I mean you will not slap me right?" Manik said naughtily and Nandini smiled weakly. She closed her eyes. Manik took her hand in his and started cleaning her blood with antiseptic. Manik knew that it pained a lot when antiseptic was applied to the wound but Nandini her face was expressionless. Manik was finding it weird because whenever Alya or Mukti got heart they panicked a lot. But Nandini she wasn't even hissing a little.

"Nandini..!! Kya tumhy dard nahi ho raha?" Manik asked a little surprised.

"Mjhy in choti moti chooton pay dard nahi hota Manik..!!" That was all Nandini's reply and Manik was shocked on her confession. He didn't asked further. And kept doing the band aid. Soon it was done.

"Ho gya..!!" Manik said and Nandini opened her eyes. She got up from the floor and picked up her bag. Manik was still sitting on the floor waiting for her to say something. Nandini reached the door soon.

"Manik..!!" She called him before stepping out of the room. "Meray chakar main mat paro..!! You will get nothing but pain..!! It's an advice..!!" Nandini said coldly and left the room.

"Now what was that suppose to mean?" Manik thought.

Ok late update actually very late hehehe..! Reason is that I was totally concentrated on Disneyland trip that I didn't got time for it..!! BTW update is here..!! So who was the girl? Hmmm..!! Manik want to know the reason for Nandini's sadness..!! Will he get to know the past of Nandini? Will she trust Manik?You wanna know? Yes or no? Yes?
