CHAPTER 7

NEXT MORNING

IN THE CANTEEN

Aliya and Mukti were sitting in the canteen waiting for the boys. At the same time Nandini and Navya enter the canteen. They go to the counter and take their breakfast with them and are about to leave when Nandini bumps into Aliya and Mukti. Aliya gets angry and stamps her foot in anger. Mukti smirks.

Aliya: You idiot! How dare you?

Nandini: I am sorry Aliya. I didn't do it intentionally.

Aliya: Sorry my foot!

Mukti: Aww! Poor girl! Now you will have to pay for it.( She smirks looking at Aliya and Aliya also smirks)

Aliya: Yeah! Tumhe ek task karna padega.

Nandini: What task?

Navya: Nandini chalo yaha se. Aliya please jane do.

Aliya: Shut up you fool!

Nandini: What is the task?

Aliya: Go to the entrance of the canteen and you have to kiss the first person who enters the canteen.

Nandini's eyes widened: What? I won't

Mukti interrupted: Shut up and do as we say. (She held her hand and pushed her towards the door)

Everyone in the canteen noticed this and was looking at Nandini. Some guys were passing rubbish comments and some people were cheering her name. Nandini was scared. She was standing near the door and closed her eyes. After getting some confidence she opened her eyes and looked outside. Everyone was also looking outside. Suddenly she saw dhruv. Dhruv was walking towards the canteen. But from the right side Manik came and started walking towards the canteen followed by cabir.

Nandini to herself," Aiyaappa isko kyu bhej diya? Ab mera kya hoga?"

Manik entered the canteen and Nandini gathered all her courage and stood infront of Manik. Manik looked at her with an angry face. Everyone was staring at them.

Manik: What? Move aside!

Nandini didn't listen. She tiptoed to match his height. She was looking into his chocolaty brown eyes and Manik was all confused. But as Nandini was looking into eyes he couldn't stop himself from looking into her beautiful eyes. They both were lost in each other. At the same time, Mukti and Aliya couldn't see what was going on as the students gathered around Manik and Nandini. They both stood up and moved ahead of the crowd. Aliya was fuming with anger and she was about to stop Nandini but at the same time Nandini moved her right hand to Manik's right cheek and kissed his left cheek. Manik's eyes widened and he was hell shocked. Nandini looked down as everyone was staring at them. Manik touched his left cheek and started staring at Nandini/ Everyone started cheering Manik and Nandini's name. Nandini was about to leave when Aliya held her hand and turned her around.

Aliya: How dare you kiss Manik?

Nandini: Aliya you only told me to kiss the first person entering the canteen.

Aliya walked away and Mukti followed her. Manik was still shocked and was touching his left cheek and he said to himself," What just happened? Did she really kiss me or am I dreaming?" He was brought out of the trance by the voice of Cabir saying to everyone," Yaha koi movie nahi chal rahi hai. Get out everyone." Cabir saw Manik's shocked face and Manik's hand on his cheek. Manik was staring at Nandini. Nandini was looking down when Navya came there and said.

Navya: Nandini. Chalo yaha se.

Nandini looked up and saw Manik staring at her. She also started staring at Manik. Cabir was seeing all this and enjoying. Navya held her hand and dragged her outside but still she was looking at Manik and Manik continued to stare at her till she disappeared.

Cabir: Manik baba hosh me to hai?

Manik: Ha..Haan!Kya?

Cabir: Kuch nahi chal class me jate hai.

Manik: Han chal.( Manik remembered how she kissed him and a smile appeared on his face)

Meanwhile, Nandini was walking with Navya and she was also thinking about how she kissed Manik and she started blushing a little.

Rest of the day was boring and the classes finished. Everyone went to their respective rooms.

In the evening at 7 pm in Nandini and Navya's room.

Nandini was sitting on her bed with her books all over the bed. Nandini said to herself," Aaj mai hi late jaungi waise bhi wo kabhi time pe nahi aata hai. But How will I face him after what happened today in the canteen. Wo kya soch raha hoga mere bare me. Aiyaapaa please help me!"

At the same time, Manik was walking towards the music room and he said to himself," Miss Nandini Murthy aaj mai time pe aagaya hu. Aaj koi lecture nahi sun na padega."

Manik went inside the music room and found it empty. Manik was shocked as he thought she would be on time as usual. He placed his guitar near the chair and sat on the chair and closed his eyes and saw Nandini in front of him. Manik opened his eyes and said to himself," What is happening with me? Nandini kyu dikh rahi hai mujhe har jagah. Arghhh." He looked at the time and it was 7:20.He walked towards the door and was about to leave when Nandini entered the music room.

Manik: What the hell Nandini? Why are you so late?

Nandini: Kyu Manik? Roz tum late aate ho. Aaj mai late aagayi.

Manik: I came here sharp at 7. You are so late.

Nandini: Aww! Tumhe wait karna pada. So sad.

Manik smirked: You never stop surprising me han! Sometimes you scare me, sometimes you scold me when I am late, sometimes you kiss me (he smirked) and now you are making fun of me.'

she started laughing and Manik was admiring her beautiful face and a smile appeared on his face too. (Ishq Bulaava in the bg)

After a few minutes, Nandini stopped laughing and saw that Manik was smiling and staring at her. She waved her hand in front of her and said," Mr Manik Malhotra hum jo yaha karne aaye the wo kare?"Manik came out of his trance and said," Yeah."

Manik and Nandini sat on the chairs. Manik was holding his guitar and he said," Listen to this." Nandini was just looking at him and Manik played a beautiful rhythm.

Manik: How was it?

Nandini smiled: It was awesome Manik.

Manik smiled and they practiced for an hour but they were struggling with the lyrics. So Manik said that they should take a break and they will practice the next day. Nandini agreed and was about to leave when Manik held her hand and stopped her.

Manik: Listen. I wanted to ask you something?

Nandini: Han bolo na.

Manik: Woh.. Ummm. What happened to you yesterday? Tum lost lag rahi thi bohot.

Nandini looked down: Wohh.. Kuch nahi Manik.. I..I was just tired.

Manik wasn't convinced so he made Nandini look at him and asked once again. Nandini had tears in her eyes and Manik saw it.

Manik: What happened? Why are you crying? If you don't want to tell then it is fine.

Nandini: I want to tell but mujhe khud ko pata nahi hai ki kya hua tha. My life is messed up. Tum nahi samjhoge.

Manik: But Nandini you should not keep it to yourself. If something is disturbing you then discuss it with someone. Trust me you will feel better. Don't tell it to me. Share it with your parents or your close friends.

Nandini said while crying: I wish I could share it with my parents.

Manik came closer: What do you mean?

Nandini sat down on the floor taking the support of the wall and signalled Manik to sit beside her.

Nandini: My parents are no more. I lost them when I was 11. They died in a car accident when we were coming back to India. And I am responsible for their death. I was the one who distracted my Dad's attention while he was driving and in a second my life changed. My parents died, my brother lost his voice and I lost my memory. Aur kal mujhe kuch yad aagaya tha uss bracelet ko dekh ke apne past ke bare me but. (She couldn't complete her sentence and started crying)

Manik was shocked. He also had tears in his eyes and he said to himself," She lost her memory. And use kuch yad aagaya wo bracelet ko dekh ke jo mujhe meri Nandu ne diya tha. Matlab she is my.. No no Manik are you crazy? She is no more."

Manik came out of the trance and said: Shh Nandini. Stop crying. And it was not your fault. Okay?

Nandini was not able to control her tears and suddenly she side hugged Manik and kept her head on his shoulders. Manik also held her tightly in his arms and tried to console her. After sometime Nandini stopped crying but she didn't want to leave Manik. She was feeling safe and protected in Manik's arms. Manik was also lost in her. He was constantly rubbing her back to make her feel good.

Nandini: Manik.

Manik: Shh.. Don't say anything.

Nandini smiled and hugged him more tightly and Manik felt happy and he also smiled and made his grip tighter. They both closed their eyes and they didn't realise when they both fell asleep in each other's arms.

CHAPTER 19

Manik and Nandini were lost in each other and Dhruv was looking at Nandini and smiling as he thought that Nandini is also staring at him. Their trance was broken by the class bell. Manik and Nandini were brought out of their dream land. Nandini looked forward and started smiling. Manik and Dhruv were also smiling thinking about Nandini. Navya noticed that Nandini was smiling so she thought of confronting her.

Navya: Nandu!

Nandini: Han Navya. Bolo na.

Navya: Kya soch kar itna smile kar rahi ho? Mujhe bhi batao.

Nandini: Navya mai kaha smile kar rahi hu?

Navya: Nandu! Sach batao kya soch rahi ho?

Nandini: Kuch bhi to nahi Navya. Tum pagal hogayi ho kya?

Navya: Manik ke bare me soch rahi ho na?

Nandini didn't say anything and started smiling or should I say blushing. She remembered about last night. She remembered how Manik sucked the icecream and how she kissed him on his cheeks. Remembering those moments her face flushed red and Navya noticed this. It was enough for Navya to understand her friend's feelings so she didn't say anything further. Nandini was lost in her thoughts and said to herself," What is happening with me? Why do I always keep thinking about Manik..Aisa kabhi merr sath nahi hua..What are these strange feelings? Am I falling for Manik?" Meanwhile, Navya then looked at Manik who was also lost in his thoughts. Manik was also thinking about last night and he also started smiling and said to himself," Nandu, what have you done to me? Me Manik Malhotra who never tried to be close to any girl is thinking about a girl and smiling..What is happening with me? Am I falling for you Nandu?" Cabir who was sitting away from Manik noticed this. He then went towards Nandini and Navya and saw Nandini smiling. Navya and Cabir looked at each other and smiled. Nandini didn't even notice Cabir. Cabir took Navya aside.

Navya: Kya hai Cabir?

Cabir: Oh Madhubala mujhe tumse bat karne me koi interest nahi hai.

Navya: Han to mujhe bhi nahi hai.

Cabir: Arghh! Just stop it! Let's fight later. Right now we should think about MaNan.

Navya: MaNan?

Cabir: You dumbo! Manik+Nandini= MaNan.

Navya: Oh achha. Maine bohot bar dekha hai ki Manik aur Nandini ek dusre ko dekhte rehte hai.

Cabir: I have also noticed that! But ek problem hai.

Navya: Problem? Kya problem?

Cabir: They both are equally stubborn and wo dono kisi se bat nahi karenge apni feelings ke bare me nahi confess karenge. To humein un dono ko help karni hogi confess karne me. What say?

Navya: Han theek keh rahe ho tum.

Cabir: Mission MaNan is on!

They both smiled looking at each other and then went back to their seats. After many boring lectures finally the classes were over and the students started leaving from the classes. But fab5, Nandini and Navya were still in the classroom. Everyone gathered around together and started talking. After some time everyone sat on nearby benches. Aliya was sitting alone and so was Nandini. Aliya was expecting Manik to sit with her but Manik went and sat with Nandini and Dhruv sat with Aliya. Mukti and Cabir were sitting on desks and Navya was sitting in front of MaNan. They started talking, chatting and gossiping. After some time everyone was busy so taking the advantage of the situation, Manik held Nandini's hand without letting anyone notice. Nandini was surprised with his gesture but she held his hand tighter which made Manik happy. Nandini then entwined her fingers with his. Manik stated caressing her hand with his thumb which made Nandini blush.

Mukti: Guys! Today's day was so boring yar!

Aliya: Ya Mukti. I was so bored the whole day.

Cabir: Guys! I have an idea!

Manik: What?

Cabir: Let's jam guys! It's been weeks since we have practiced together.

Dhruv: Han Cabir is right!

Manik: Ya Cabir you are right.

Cabir: Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!

Manik: Ya let's go.

Nandini: Guys, you all practice. Mai aur Navya room me ja rahe hai.

Manik: Aree why? Tum bhi chal rahi ho humare sath.

Aliya: But Manik, it's fab5's practice time and no one else can interfere.

Aliya's anger towards Nandini reflected from her tone and everyone noticed this. Somewhere, Nandini knew the reason behind Aliya's anger towards her. Manik was so angry on Aliya that he held Nandini's hand tighter. Nandini didn't know what to do. She thought of opposing Aliya because Manik was angry but at the same time she didn't want to be the reason behind conflicts between fab5. So she didn't say anything.

Manik: Aliya! Shut up! How can you say that? Nandini is not an outsider. She is mine and Cabir's best friend.

Aliya: I know Manik. But

Manik: But what Aliya? Nandini can interfere because now she is also a part of our family. Do you get that?

Aliya just looked away in anger.

Nandini: Manik, Please calm down. (She kept her other hand on his shoulder) I am tired. You guys practice. We will meet later. Okay?

Aliya: Ya Nandini. You should leave and ya you should rest.

Nandini: Navya chalo we will go to our room.

Manik was so angry because of Aliya and on top of that Nandini was leaving. He wanted to spend more time with her but she wanted to leave. So he jerked her Nandini off and stood up. Nandini was sad because of his behaviour but she thought she will convince him later so saying bye to everyone they both left from there. Fab5 headed towards the music room. They started practicing but Manik was not able to concentrate properly. In between Aliya tried to be near Manik but Manik just ignored Aliya. After some hours it was time for dinner so everyone went to the canteen and joined NavNi on their usual table. Nandini and Navya were sitting with each other. Cabir sat next to Navya, Manik sat next to Cabir, Dhruv sat next to Manik, Aliya sat next to Dhruv and Mukti sat in between Nandini and Aliya. Manik was in front of Nandini. Nandini was looking at Manik again and again but Manik avoided her. Once Manik looked at Nandini and Nandini also looked at Manik at the same time. Nandini made a puppy face and said sorry with her eyes but Manik juts ignored her. He looked away. After having dinner everyone went back to their respective rooms.

Manik was still angry with Nandini and Nandini was upset. They both wanted to talk with each other but both being stubborn didn't even try. It was around midnight and almost everyone was asleep. But Manik and Nandini couldn't sleep. They both were missing each other badly. They both were continuously checking their cell phones but no one messaged the other. After some time, Nandini gave up and messaged Manik.

Nandini: Manik, I need to meet you.

Manik: I don't want to meet you.

Nandini: Manik, Please..

Manik: No.!

Nandini: I am waiting for you behind the music block. Aana hai to aajana.

Manik: I won't come. Don't wait.

Nandini smiled as she knew that he would come for sure. Nandini happily went behind the music block and sat on the stairs waiting for Manik. Manik came from behind and saw Nandini sitting on the stairs. He went and sat beside her.

Manik: I told you not to wait.

Nandini: I knew that you will come.

Manik: Kyu bulaya mujhe yaha?

Nandini kept her hand on his: Manik, I am sorry na.

Manik: Sorry for what?

Nandini: Mai nahi chahti thi ki meri wajahse fab5 ke beech me koi jhagde ho. That's why I went back to my room.

Manik: But.

Nandini kept her finger on his lips: Shhh.. Manik I don't want to fight with you. Please. (She said making a puppy face)

Manik just kept looking at her with awe. She was looking so cute. Manik just smiled looking at her cute puppy face. Nandini's hand was still on his lips. Manik pecked lightly on her finger which made her blush. Nandini removed her finger form his lips and looked down. Manik was staring at her. He cupped her face and made her look at him. He started caressing her face with his thumb. He moved closer to her face. He brought his lips close to her forehead and pecked on her forehead lightly. He then removed his hands from her face and pulled her into a side hug.

Manik: Nandu, I am sorry maine tumhe ignore kiya.

Nandini: It's okay Manik. I can understand.

Manik: You know I just can't listen anything against you. That's why I got angry and upar se I wanted to be with you aur tum chali gayi room me isiliye gussa hogaya tha.

Nandini smiled: Manik leave it na. Jo hogaya wo hogaya.

They stayed in that position for a while and after some time they got up and started talking. Manik then startd tickling her. She was laughing like a little kid and Manik was enjoying a lot. Manik stopped tickling her but Nandini was still laughing. After a few seconds, Nandini moved closer to Manik and moved her hands towards his stomach and started ticking him. But he didn't laugh so Nandini looked at Manik.

Manik: I don't feel ticklish. Ha Ha Ha.

Nandini: Thodi si bhi nahi?

Manik: Nope.

Nandini: Acha. To let's check.

Saying this she started ticking him and he started laughing. He also started tickling Nandini amking her laugh a lot. Nandini sat on the stairs still laughing and Manik joined her and again started tickling. Nandini lied down on the floor laughing and Manik went upon her and was still tickling her. She was laughing a lot and pleading Manik to stop but he didn't stop. After some time, Manik was also laughing because he was enjoying a lot. They both were lying on the floor very close to each other. And suddenly and unknowingly their lips touched. Manik moved his face away and looked at Nandini who was shocked. They both got up and straightened up. There was an awkward silence for some time and they both were looking here and there to avoid eye contact. After some time, Nandini broke the silence.

Nandini: I will go back to my room. It's too late.

Manik: Ya chalo I will come till your room.

They both started walking towards Nandini's room without speaking anything. Soon they reached her room and they both were standing in front of each other without looking at each other. Manik went closer to Nandini and she moved back and soon her back touched the wall and Manik went closer to her. Manik held her wrists and pinned them to the wall and moved his face closer to Nandini. Nandini closed her eyes. Manik went closer to her neck and placed a soft kiss there. He then moved closer to her lips. Nandini opened her eyes and saw Manik so close to her. They both could feel each other's hot breath on their faces. Nandini again closed her eyes which gave a green signal to Manik. Manik moved his lips close to her lips and slowly touched his lips with her lips. He started kissing softly and Nandini also responded back. Manik sucked her lower lip while Nandini sucked her upper lip. Their tongues were exploring each other's mouths. The kiss turned passionate. Manik left her wrists and his hands held her waist and Nandini's hands were around his neck. She dug her nails into his hair and started playing with them. Their bodies were rubbing each other and they both were still kissing each other passionately. After some time they broke the kiss as they were out of breath. They both were breathing heavily and looking at each other. Manik again moved close to Nandini and they both were looking into each other's eyes passionately. Manik moved his lips closer to her shoulder. He held the strap of her top in his mouth and moved it down her shoulder slowly. His hands were on her waist. He started planting wet kisses on her neck. Nandini was feeling shy so she just hugged him tightly. Manik smiled at her innocence and hugged her back. He moved the strap of her top back to its place. They both hugged each other for a while and broke the hug. Nandini was looking down and blushing a lot and Manik was staring at her intensely. After a few moments,

Nandini: Good night Manik.

Manik: Good night Nandu!

Nandini gave a cute smile to Manik and went back to her room and jumped on the bed and hugged her pillow tightly. Manik stood there for a while and then went back to his room with a big cute smile on his face.

CHAPTER 10

Nandini was just staring at the pictures as if trying to remember something. After a few minutes some memories flashed in front of her eyes. After seeing all those pictures she remembered something.

Flashback

She was running behind someone and then she stood in front of her with her hands on her waist and said to that boy," You are such a monster Manik." She said a cute expression and Manik started running again. Nandini also ran behind and they entered a room where another guy was sitting. Nandini started throwing things on Manik and Manik ran here and there to save himself while laughing and enjoying every second. The another guy just sat their enjoying everything. Nandini said," Aaj tum nahi bachoge Manik. How dare you? Aur cabir tum meri help karo na." Cabir stood up and held Nandini and made her on the bed and said," Calm down. Meri jungle billi. Kya hua tujhe?" Nandini made a cute expression and turned her face folding her hands. Cabir signalled Manik to come there and try to calm her down. Manik came and sat on the ground near the bed on his knees and held her shoulder but she jerked his hands off her. Then Manik held his ears and said," Sorry Angel. Please maaf kar de na tere monster ko. Please." He made a puppy face and Nandini smiled and said," It's okay my monster. But aage se kabhi aisa kiya na to I will not talk with you." Manik said," Promise nahi karunga." Cabir said," But Manik tune aisa kya kiya?" Manik was about to say something but Nandini stopped him and said," Isne meri Barbie doll ke sare bal kaat diye." With this all of them started laughing."

End of flashback.

Remembering such sweet memories Nandini smiled with tears in her eyes and looked at Manik who also had tears in his eyes. They both just kept staring at each other.

Nandini: Manik. Tum aur Cabir ..

Manik said with a smile: yes my angel.

At the same time Cabir entered the Music room with a huge box in his hand. They both turned around and saw Cabir. Cabir saw the smiled on their faces and came to know that the plan had worked. He also smiled and walked towards them.

Nandini: Cabir ye sab kya hai?

Cabir: Nandini wait. (He sat on the floor and Nandini sat beside him and Manik on the other side of Nandini)

Manik: Ye sab humari memories hai.

Nandini: Omg! Wow. Tum dono ne abhi tak sambhal ke rakha hai sab kuch.

Cabir: Obviously. We missed you so much. Aaj tak ye sochke ji rahe the that you are.

Manik: Cabir! Wo sab choddna. Ab sab thik hogaya hai na. Let's enjoy this moment.

They start looking at their pictures and other things and Nandini slowly starts to remember everything. Manik Cabir and Nandini were so happy at this moment. Meeting your childhood best friends after years is something beyond happiness.

Nandini: Cabir look at this. Manik was crying so much when we scared him. ( She starts laughing and Cabir also starts laughing.)

Manik: Oh please Nandini. I was not crying. (Manik made a cute expression)

Nandini pulled his cheeks and said: Aww. So cute!

Manik just side hugged her and pulled her closer with a big smile on her face. Cabir also leaned closer to them. They stayed in this position for a long time cherishing all their beautiful memories. After a few minutes Nandini spoke.

Nandini: Guys I think we should go back to our rooms. It's too late.

They both agreed and stood up. Nandini started walking towards the door and Manbir followed her. Suddenly Nandini's head started aching and she held her head with her hand and in a fraction of a second she fell down. Manbir were shocked. They rushed to her. They both tried to wake her up but she didn't. Manik lifted her in his arms and started walking towards the medical room. Cabir followed him and as they reached the medical room Cabir shouted for help. The nurse came out and saw Nandini unconscious in Manik's arms so she told Manik to keep her inside on the bed. They both were instructed to wait outside. They both went outside and waited for the doctor. After some time the doctor came out and said.

Doctor: Are you both Manik and Cabir?

Manik and Cabir in unison: Yes.

Doctor: The patient is constantly taking your names.

Manik was about to go inside but the doctor stopped him.

Doctor: Wait. You can't go inside. She is weak right now. She will be shifted to the nearest hospital for her treatment.

Cabir: What treatment? Is she fine?

Doctor: She is fine. But I have checked her medical records and found about her memory loss. So she has to go for some medical sessions then she will be fine.

Manik got angry but Cabir held his hand and said to the doctor: Okay Doctor. Thank you.

The doctor went away. After a few minutes Nandini was brought out on a stretcher. She was still unconscious. Manik and Cabir walked towards her and looked at her with teary eyes. She had to be shifted to the nearest hospital for her treatment. Manik and Cabir insisted to be with her but as per the principal's order they couldn't go. They both were very sad and blamed themselves for Nandini's condition. They both walked back towards their room and lied down on their beds but they couldn't sleep. They both were thinking about Nandini and after some hours they dozed off.

NEXT MORNING

It was Sunday so there were no classes. Manik and Cabir woke up early and headed to meet the principal to ask about Nandini. But the principal said that she is still not fine and she will come back after her treatment so they both went to the canteen and sat on their usual table. After some time Aliya, Mukti and Dhruv also joined them.

Aliya: Hi guys. What's up?

Manik didn't reply anything and seemed very sad and Cabir was also said so he just replied with a simple" hi." Everyone noticed their strange behaviour.

Mukti: Ab kya hogaya hai tum dono ko?

Manik: Kuch nahi Mukti. How are you now?

Mukti: Ya I am fine now.

Dhruv kept his hand of Manik's shoulder and said: Buddy. Kya hua hai tujhe?

Manik: Nothing buddy. I am just tired.

Aliya: Manik we know you very well. Something is definitely wrong with you both.

Cabir: Kuch nahi Aliya.

Manik: Nandini.

Mukti: What? Nandini?

Cabir: Han Nandini. Kal rat usko hospital le gaye the.

Aliya: What? What happened to her? And tum dono itna sad kyu ho uske liye?

Manik: You guys don't know about this. She is. She is..

Cabir interrupted: She is our childhood best friend. We three were besties. We all lived in USA and then we both came back to India and then after a few months Nandini was returning back to India and she met with an accident and we were told that she is no more but she just lost her memory.

Aliya, Mukti and Dhruv were hell shocked.

Manik: And yesterday we tried to make her recall our memories and usko sab yad bhi aagaya tha but then she fainted and..

Mukti: Okay. So she is the one from those pictures.

Manik: Yes.

Dhruv: Buddy, Don't worry she will be fine.

Manik smiled: I hope so.

Aliya stood up and told everyone to stand up. She said," It's time for a group hug guys. For Manik and Cabir. Everyone smiled and hugged each other.

It was a bright sunny day. Nandini Murthy woke up with the rays of sun falling on her beautiful serene face. She was very happy today. She stood up and went in front of the mirror and was smiling looking at herself. She touched her lips slowly and remembered about last night while her eyes were closed. She then touched her neck and shoulders slowly were Manik had kissed. She started blushing. Meanwhile, Manik was also woke up and went to the washroom. He went in front of the mirror and took out his t shirt. He then went to take shower. The water was falling on his body and started remembering about last night's kiss. He remembered how he kissed her neck and removed the strap of her top and then how she hugged him because she was feeling shy. And at last he remembered the beautiful smile she gave while going inside. He also started blushing.

After some time they both got ready and went towards the assembly hall. Manik was with Cabir and Nandini was with Navya. Both were lost in each other's thoughts. Nandini said to herself," Kal jo hua uske bad how will I face Manik? Mai usey kya bolungi? Woh mujhe kya bolega? Aiyaappa please help me." Meanwhile, Manik said to himself," Nandini last night was the best. I am so happy today." They were lost in their thoughts and suddenly they both bumped into each other outside the assembly hall. They both kept staring at each other. They shared an eye lock. At the same time, Cabir and Navya were looking at them and they smiled. Their trance was broken when Cabir said," Ahem ahem." They both looked here and there and then walked inside.

After having breakfast everyone went to the classroom. Nandini was already sitting with Navya. Manik and Cabir entered the class and went to sit on their bench. But Manik wanted to sit with Nandini so he went near NavNi.

Manik: Navya, Can you go and sit somewhere else?

Navya: Aree kyu jau mai? Tum jao yaha se?

Manik made an angry face looking at Navya and Navya got scared so she said: Achha thik hai. Mai jati hu.

Manik smirked and sat beside Nandini and Navya sat with cabir. Nandini's heart started beating fastly.Manik came near her and whispered seductively in her ear," Good Morning Nandu!" His sexy voice sent shivers down her spine. Manik was so close to her that she could smell his perfume. She then replied," Good Morning." Without looking at him. Manik smiled and sat straight. For some time, they didn't talk or looked at each other. Nandini's hand was on the bench. Manik looked at her hand and kept his hand on her hand. Nandini looked at Manik and started blushing. They stayed in that position for a while. Manik then started removing his hand but to his surprise Nandini held his and tightly. Manik felt very happy about it. They were holding hands for a long time. After some classes it was lunch time so everyone went to the cafeteria. Fab5 and NavNi were sitting on their usual table. At the same time, a tall handsome guy entered the main gate of the school. He was wearing blue jeans and a white t shirt. He took off his blue tinted ray ban glasses and smiled looking towards the school. He entered the school premises. Every girl in the corridor was looking at that guy. He smirked and started walking towards the principal's office. He talked with the principal and then headed towards the cafeteria. He said to himself," Nandu, Tum aaj bohot khush hojaogi." He entered the cafeteria and saw Nandini sitting with her friends. He started walking towards them. Nandini was sitting with Manik looking at him again and again and Manik did the same. At the same time, fab5 and NavNi got up and started walking. That guy came and stopped in front of them. Nandini was busy looking at something in her bag so she didn't notice that guy. Fab5 made an angry face.

Manik: Hey you move out of our way.

Guy: Chill dude. I just wanted to meet my friend.

Nandini stopped whatever she was doing when she heard a familiar voice. She lifted her head and saw a tall guy and a big smiled appeared on her face. She said," Abhiii." And hugged him. Abhi also hugged her back and was smiling. Everyone else was confused but Manik was fuming with anger. He looked at Abhi with his eyes full of anger. After some time, they broke the hug.

Nandini: Abhi, tum yaha?

Abhi: Yes babydoll, I am here. Surprise kaisa laga?

Nandini: Oh god! Abhi tum ye surprise ki bat kar rahe the?

Manik got more angry listening to the word," Babydoll" He said to himself," Babydoll? Seriously? How dare he call my Nandu babydoll? Yes my nandu. She is mine. Abhimanyu shaked hands with everyone and smiled but when he was shaking his hand with Manik he looked at Abhi with full of anger. And when Abhimanyu was shaking his hand with Mukti, he was mesmerised with her beauty. He unknowingly said," Hi beautiful." Mukti just gave a fake smile to him. Everyone went towards the classroom. They reached the classroom. Everyone entered the class but Abhi held Nandini's hand and stopped her from going inside. Manik looked behind and saw Abhi holding Nandini's hand. He was already angry and seeing this he became more angry. He then sat on the bench and kept looking at them. Meanwhile,

Nandini: Abhi, kya hua?

Abhi: Nandu, mujhe kuch puchna tha?

Nandini: Han Abhi pucho na.

Abhi: Manik wahi hai na jiske bare me tum bat karti rehti ho?

Nandini smiled and they went inside the classroom. Nandini sat with Manik and was sitting very close to him but Manik didn't even smile looking at her and to her surprise he moved away from her. Nandini didn't get why Manik was behaving like this with her. Manik said to himself," Thodi der pehle she was blushing when you were with that idiot. And why was he calling her babydoll. Who the hell is he?"

After some time all the classes were over and everyone started walking towards their rooms. Abhi was walking with Nandini and they were talking and laughing. Manik couldn't control anymore so he walked towards Nandini and held his hand and looked at her with his eyes burning with anger. Nandini knew that something was wrong and he was very angry. Abhi just stood there looking at them.

Manik: Nandini, I need to talk with you. Come with me.

Nandini: Okay. Abhi I will see you later.

Abhi: Ya.. Bye Nandu.

Manik dragged Nandini with him giving a last angry stare to Abhi. Manik dragged Nandini inside a dark classroom. At the same time, Cabir and Navya came near Abhi and asked what had happened. They got to know everything.

He moved his hand towards her shoulder and held the collar of her shirt and moved it a little aside. He moved closer to her neck and held her waist from other hand. Manik pecked on her neck and then started sucking her neck passionately. He gave a love bite on her neck. Nandini said passionately," Manik." She started blushing when Manik looked into her eyes. They kept looking into each other's eyes passionately and then Manik moved closer to her lips. Manik was lost in her and taking the advantage of the situation Nandini slipped away from his hold and ran towards the door. Nandini turned and said," Manik, mai abhi ke sath bat karte waqt isiliye blush kar rahi thi cause we were talking about you." She smiled and went away from there. Manik smiled and then he also went from there.

Meanwhile, Dhruv was in the music room playing his guitar and smiling while thinking about Nandini. At the same time, Aliya was passing by and she saw Dhruv smiling and playing his guitar. She went near him and smiled looking at him. Dhruv stopped smiling and playing his guitar and stood up.

Dhruv: Aliya. Tum yaha?

Aliya: Dhruv why did you stop?

Dhruv: Woh aise hi.

Aliya: Dhruv,why were you smiling so much?

Dhruv: Woh Aliya nothing like that.

Aliya: Let me guess. You were thinking about someone special. Hai na?

Dhruv gave a shy smile and looked down.

NEXT MORNING

Cabir was already awake and was busy doing something on the laptop. He seemed to be sad about something. After some time Manik woke up and saw that Cabir was tensed. He stood up with a broad smile on his face and went near Cabir and asked:

Manik: Cabir kya hua tujhe why are you so sad?

Cabir: Tu bada khush lag raha hai. Kya bat hai?

Manik: khush kaise nahi hou Cabir. Nandini is my angel and I am happy about that. But tujhe kya hua?

Cabir: Is hi bat ki tension hai Manik.

Manik: What? Tu khush nahi hai?

Cabir: Khush to hu bohot.Par mai abhi padh raha tha about the memory loss patients. It says that we cannot tell them directly about their past. It won't be good for them.

Manik's face turned sad and he said: Ab kya kare Cabir?

Cabir: Pata nahi yaar.

She went near the place from where blood was coming. She was so shocked seeing Mukti in this condition. She had cut her nerves and was lying on the floor. She went near her and tied her handkerchief on her wrists and was trying to wake her up. But in vain she didn't even open her eyes for a second. She rushed outside the washroom and saw Aliya.

Nandini: Aliya!

Aliya turned back and saw Nandini's clothes were drenched with blood. So she ran towards Nandini and said: What?

Nandini: Wohh.. Wohh Mukti.

Aliya was shocked and she said: What Mukti? What happened to her?

Nandini: She cut her nerves and she is inside.

Aliya rushed inside and started crying seeing Mukti and asked Nandini to call someone. Nandini went outside and started running towards the medical room and she bumped into Manik and Cabir. She was crying a lot and Manik and Cabir noticed this.

Manik: Kya hua tumhe? Is everything alright?

Nandini: Mukti. Usne apna hath kat diya.

Manik: What? Mukti! Shit! Cabir tu ja medical room me and inform kar de. Mai mukti ko leke aata hu.

Cabir left and Manik asked Nandini about Mukti. Nandini had no time to explain so she held Manik's hand and dragged him towards the girl's washroom. They both were running towards the washroom holding each other's hand. As soon as they reached the washroom they saw Aliya trying to wake uo Mukti and her clothes were also drenched with blood. Manik went near Mukti and lifted her in his arms and started running towards the medical room. Nandini and Aliya followed Manik. Manik put her on the bed in the medical room and warned the doctor to save her at any cost. Manik came out and saw Cabir, Aliya and Dhruv standing there with tears in their eyes. Manik also had tears in his eyes and he just went and hugged everyone. They also hugged them back. Nandini was also there and was seeing them with tears in her eyes. After a few minutes they broke the hug and Manik assured everyone that she will be fine. Nandini sat on the chair and started crying. She put her head down and said," Aiyappaa please save Mukti. Usse kuch nahi hona chahiye. I know she bullied me but her friends love her the most. Please aiyaappa save her." She didn't realise but she said this loudly and everyone heard it. Aliya came and tapped her shoulder. She stood up and saw that everyone was looking at her. She looked down and was about to leave when Aliya stopped her.

Aliya: Nandini wait. Thank you so much. Aaj tum nahi hoti to pata nahi Mukti.

Nandini: Don't say thanks Aliya. (She smiled and Aliya also smiled and hugged her. Nandini was shocked but then she also hugged her back with a smile on her face)

After breaking the hug she smiled at Aliya and Aliya also smiled back. Aliya, Dhruv and Cabir sat on the chairs but Manik was roaming here and there as he was tensed. Nandini noticed this and went near Manik and kept her hand on his shoulder and Manik turned around and saw Nandini.

Nandini: Everything will be fine Manik. Don't worry. Aiyappaa won't let anything wrong happen to Mukti.

Manik smiled: Ya I hope so.

Nandini also smiled back.

Manik: Thank you Nandini for saving Mukti and yeah please pray to your Aiyappa.

Nandini smiled and said: Don't say thanks Manik. And yes I will pray.

At the same time the doctor came outside and said: She is fine now. But she needs some rest for a few days.

Navya: Woh Nandu hum library me padhte padhte so gaye the.

Nandini: Navya I was so worried about you. Don't do this ever. And btw tumhe pata hai Mukti ne apna hath kat diya and she is in the medical room. And she said that Harshad is the reason behind this. Tum sambhal ke rehna.

Navya: Kya? Wo thik to hai na?

Nandini: Han Now she is fine.

Navya had tears in her eyes and she hugged Nandini and said: Nandu humne dekha tha Harshad ji ne kya kiya kal Mukti ke sath. Wo ache nahi hai.. nahi hai..

Nandini hugged her back and tried to console her. Meanwhile, Mukti was sleeping. Cabir, Manik, Aliya and Dhruv were still there with Mukti.

IN THE EVENING

At 7 pm both Manik and Nandini reached the music room. Manik was silent and so was Nandini. They both sat on chairs. Nandini broke the silence.

Nandini: Manik!

Manik: Hmm.

Nandini: How is Mukti? She is fine na?

Manik: Ya she is fine.

Nandini: Hmm.. But what happened between Mukti and Harshad?

Manik: They both used to date a year ago. But Harshad always tried to break us and Mukti blindly trusted him and loved him a lot. But Harshad cheated on her and after their break up he always tried to hurt her. And again he did the same. I am not going to spare him this time.

Nandini: That is so bad.

Manik: Please you also stay away from him. He is not what he looks like.

Nandini walked towards her seat with a smile on her face. She sat with Navya. Navya said that she will bring lunch for both and walked away. Nandini was alone again. She started thinking about Manik again. She recalled the train scene and started blusing. At the same time Navya came and saw her blushing and asked her about it. She realized what she was doing and she said to herself," What is wrong with me? Mai itna kyu soch rahi hu Manik ke bare me? I should stop thinking about him and concentrate on my studies. But the way he looks at me, makes my heart skip a beat. His chocolate brown eyes, His dark brown hair look so sexy pushed back and his perfect jawline. Omg he is so hot." Suddenly Navya shook her shoulders and she came out of the trance. They both start eating their food.

Navya: Nandu. Tum theek to ho na?

Nandini: Han navya. Mujhe kya hua?

Navya: Nandu mujhe pata hai tum Manik ke bare me soch rahi ho. Par dhyaan rakhna wo bilkul acha nahi hai. Hum jante hai un sab ko.

Nandini: Hmm.( "Kya Navya sach keh rahi hai?"She says to herself)

Meanwhile, Fab5 are also having their lunch. Aliya and Mukti are gossiping and bitching about others. Dhruv is as usual silent. Manik and Cabir are lost in their thoughts.

Navya: Nandu, Ye harshad hai humara hero aur Aliya ka bhai. Jab Manik aur Harshad fight karte hai tab koi unhe nahi rokta.

Nandini was shocked. She thought that it wasn't right and she should stop them. But Aliya came between them. She tried to stop Harshad and Cabir tried to pull Manik away from Harshad.

Aliya: Bhai please don't create a scene here. Just go. Bhai please go.

Harshad: Aliya, I am not going to listen this time. Manik hurt my sister. This time I won't leave him.

Aliya: Bhai, Please for my sake just go.

Harshad: Aliya tum hamesha Manik ki side kyu leti ho? Whatever, I will leave just for your sake.

The teacher said Mukti to sit with Navya, Aliya to sit with Rohan and Dhruv to sit with Nandini. Dhruv came near Nandini and gave smile to her and sat with her.

Dhruv: Hi. I am dhruv.

They didn't speak anything for some time. It was Maths class. Dhruv was not able to solve a problem so Nandini thought of helping him.

Nandini: Dhruv. I will help you. Wait. (She explained Dhruv how to solve the problem)

Dhruv: Thanks.

Nandini smiled: You are welcome.

Dhruv also gave his shy smile. The class ended after some time. Dhruv was about to get up. But Nandini called him so he turned back.

Dhruv: Tumne bulaya mujhe?

Nandini: Han. Wo. ( She offered her hand) Friends?

AT NIGHT

After having dinner, everyone headed towards their rooms. As soon as Nandini and Navy reached their room , Navya slept. Nandini wasn't able to sleep. Nandini took the jar of fireflies and started talking with her fireflies," Mai kya karu mujhe samajh nahi aa raha hai. Manik acha hai ya bura hai. Sab us se darte hai. But mujhe aisa kyu lagta hai ki wo sabke samne jo dikhata hai wo waisa nahi hai." Meanwhile, Manik and Cabir were in their room. Manik was calm now.

Cabir: Manik baba aapke andar ka jo monster tha wo ab shaant hogaya?

Manik: Cabir!

Cabir: What Cabir? Tujhe pata bhi hai tu gusse me hum sab ko kitna dara deta hai.

Manik: Shut up cabir. Chhodd ye sab. Sote hai.

Cabir: Okay boss!

Manik went on his bed and closed his eyes. He remembered the bus scene where Nandini was in his arms. He opened his eyes with a disgusted look and said to himself," What the hell? Why am I thinking about that commoner? I should stay away from her. Yes, I will not think about her and from tomorrow I will be back to being the monster." He smirked and went to sleep.

At the same time Nandini remembered how Manik was behaving with her in the class room and then she remembered Manik's fight with Harshad. She said to herself," I think Navya sahi keh rahi hai. Mujhe us se durr rehna chahiye. I know he is the most handsome guy I have ever seen, his eyes are so.. NOOO.. NOO . What am I doing? Arghh.. I should just forget about him and concentrate on my studies." She went to her bed still thinking about Manik and then She tried hard not to think about him and then went to sleep.

The teacher: Good morning everyone. Today I am going to assign you all some projects related to music. 2 Students will work on one project. So here are the pairs: Navya and Harshad, Mukti and cabir, Aliya and Dhruv, Manik and Nandini, Rohan and Niti, Varun and Sanaya.

CHAPTER 26 A

NEXT MORNING (SATURDAY)

Students were running here and there, teachers were instructing and guiding the students and the Principal of the school taking rounds of the school feeling happy to see the enthusiasm of the school. Warrior High a prestigious school of India was going to conduct a musical event which attracted a lot of media. Other schools who were visitors felt overwhelmed with the treatment they were given. Raghav Sir came to the Audi and saw all the students working and practicing. He came on the stage and started speaking.

Raghav Sir: Good Morning students. I hope you all are prepared now. Today is the D- Day and I wish everyone all the very best. I am sure like every year we will win. So carry on with your work. I will see you in the evening.

Everyone was working and practicing while Fab5 were chilling out. Nandini was helping other students with decorations. She was on the stage carrying a note pad and was instructing the workers. She was getting angry at times and sometimes she was laughing with the workers. Manik kept looking at her and her mood swings. He was smiling looking at her. Suddenly he saw that she was standing on a big ladder trying to put something on the wall. Manik sighed and said," Oh god! This girl is crazy." Fab4 turned around and saw Nandini. Cabir said," Han wo to hai. Meri jungle billi jo hai." Manik said," Han but she is my angel too. What if she falls down?" Everyone except Aliya smiled looking at Manik. Manik went near the ladder where she was standing sensing that something was wrong with it. As soon as he reached there, Nandini lost her balance as the ladder was shaking. She thought that she would fall down so she closed her eyes. But she landed safely in two strong arms and she opened her eyes and saw Manik holding her. Manik nodded her head in disappointment.

Manik angrily: Are you out of your mind? Tum gir jati to?

Nandini smiled: I know you will never let me fall.

Manik looked at her and then smilingly said: Agar tum aise hi karti rahi na. Toh.. Toh I will never let you fall.

They both kept staring at each other forgetting about the world. Everyone else kept staring at them. Fab4 and Navya came near them but they didn't realise. Nandini was still in his arms and their trance was broken by the sound of Cabir clearing his throat. They both looked around and saw that everyone was looking at them. So Manik carefully made Nandini stand beside him. She was blushing and looking down while Manik was looking here and there.

Cabir whispers in Manik's ears: Manik tu na thoda patience rakh. Kahi bhi romance start hojata hai tum dono ka. I mean I know that you both are in louuvvvee. But you should control.

Manik also whispered: Cabir! Shut up! And control ki bat hai to I can't control myself when I am around My Nandini.

Cabir whispered: My Nandini eh? Ahem ahem.

Mukti saw them whispering and smiling. She came in between Manik and Cabir.

Mukti: Guys tum dono yeh kya secret batein kar rahe ho?

Manik keeping his hand around her shoulder: Nothing Mukti. You know Cabir and his silly jokes. So just chuck it.

Mukti : Okay fine. Let's go to the canteen.

Manik: Han chalo.

Everyone headed to the canteen and sat on their usual table. Everyone had some food while talking and laughing with each other. Aliya was looking at MaNan and their increasing closeness. She knew there was something between them and felt bad about it. She was an innocent soul and was hurt looking at the one she loved loving someone else. Dhruv noticed Aliya who was looking at MaNan and he held his hand under the table as he saw a tear drop coming out of her eyes. Aliya was shocked for a moment but when she looked at Dhruv giving her an assuring smile, she felt good and she also held his hand with the same force. After some time, everyone went back to the Audi and saw that everything was ready. Everyone started going back to their rooms after checking the arrangements for a last time. Nandini was the last one to come out. She thought everyone must be gone but Manik was waiting for her outside the Audi. She felt happy seeing him. They smiled looking at each other and were about to go when a peon came and said that Raghav Sir was calling her in the library. She went to the library and told Manik to go to his room. Manik started walking and Nandini also went to the library. As soon as Nandini disappeared, Manik again walked back. He went near the library and stood there waiting for Nandini. Nandini went inside and started looking for Raghav Sir in the empty library. She started going back when someone held her hand and pulled her closer. She thought that only Manik can do such things but the touch was different. She understood it was not Manik. She turned around and saw some other guy. She jerked her hand off and started moving out after giving an angry stare.

The guy: Hi Nandini. I am Aman. I am new here. I wish you could help me. ( Saying this he stood in front of her with a devilish smirk.

Nandini: Get lost you jerk.

Aman moved closer: Why? Kal rat ko to you sneaked in the boy's hostel. So I thought some day I can get lucky like that guy.

Nandini angrily: Shut up! And stay away from me. Or else.

Aman touched her shoulder but she moved away: Or else what?

At the same time, Manik was waiting there and thought what was taking her so long. So he moved inside the library. He saw a guy moving closer to Nandini and trying to touch her. He saw Nandini crying silently.

Aman: Or else what? Say na.

Manik pulled him away from Nandini holding his collar.

Manik angrily: Or else I will kill you!

Manik punched him two three times and he fell down on the floor.

Manik: Next Time if I see you around My Nandini it will be your last day on this planet. Do you get that?

Within no time, Manik pulled Nandini with him outside and started walking fastly. He stopped in front of her room and left her hand and was still angry. He saw Nandini's teary face and his anger melted away. He wiped her tears and kissed on her forehead. Nandini hugged him tightly and Manik also gave in and rubbed her back trying to console her. After a few minutes they broke the hug and Manik cupped her face.

Manik: Jab tak mai tumhare sath hu tab tak you don't need to worry about anything. Okay?

Nandini: Okay.

Manik: Now stop crying and give me that cute smile.

Nandini smiled: Thank you Manik.

Manik: Shut up Nandu! Tumhe mujhe thank karne ki zarurat nahi hai. Now please forget everything and take a nap. You will feel better. See you in the evening.

Nandini smiled: Okay. Bye.

They both smiled at each other and then Nandini went to her room.It has been a tiring week for everyone. Nandini was damn tired so she thought of taking a nap. She lied down on her bed and dozed off in no time. She was sleeping peacefully dreaming about her prince Charming. Meanwhile, Manik was doing something on his laptop. He shut down his laptop and sat on his bed. He was wearing shorts and blue coloured T shirt with his perfectly messed up hair. He stood up keeping his laptop on the study table and started walking towards the girl's hostel. He knocked on Nandini's room and Navya opened the door and was shocked to see him there. Manik went inside as if he owned the place. He saw Nandini sleeping peacefully on her bed hugging her pillow. He went and sat near her on the bed. He smiled looking at her serene face. Then he saw some photo frames on her side table. He took the first frame in his hand and it was Nandini's picture with her ams, the second picture was of Nandini with Rishab and her parents. He caressed the frame with his fingers and then he took the last photo frame which was a childhood picture of MaNanBir where three of them were sitting in a park bench; Nandini between Manik and Cabir. Manik smiled looking at the picture and kept it down without making any noise. Navya kept looking at Manik and then went near her.

Navya: Manik tum yaha kyu aaye ho?

Manik stood up and whispered: Shh. Why are you shouting? She will wake up.

Navya whispered: Okay. Sorry. But tum yaha se jao. Koi dekh lega toh.

Manik made an angry face and the turned towards Nandini and sat beside her. Manik took out a small box from his pocket and kept it on the side table with a pink note. He tucked the hair behind her ear which was disturbing her and then placed a light kiss on her forehead and went out of the room. Navya smiled looking at it and then she started doing her own work.

IN THE EVENING

Nandini woke up with a smile on her face. She stretched her hands and then stood up and went towards the washroom to freshen up. She came out after some time and sat on her bed. She took her phone which was on the side table and was about to stand up when her eyes fell on a small box with a pink note on it. She picked it up and started reading the note.

She blushed and then opened the box. She saw a beautiful star shaped diamond pendant with a shiny silver chain. She caressed it with her fingers lightly and started blushing even more. She was brought out of the trance by Navya. Navya pulled Nandini with her saying that they have to get ready. They reached the green room. Navya got ready and was went out to check the arrangements. She wore a white coloured knew length dress. Aliya and Mukti were in the different green room and were getting ready. Aliya wore a strap less short white dress and her hair perfectly straight and Mukti wore a tight fitted white sleeveless short dress and her hair curled up. Meanwhile, all the boys also got ready and everyone was wearing white. Cabir was wearing a white shirt with a black tie, Dhruv was wearing a simple white shirt, Manik was wearing a white shirt with a white blazer. He went out of the green room and was walking. He came near a room where Nandini was getting ready. He peeped in and saw Nandini trying to zip up her dress. Manik hesitated at first but he went inside near Nandini who was trying to zip up her dress in front of the mirror. Nandini thought that it is Navya.

Nandini: Navya please zip pull up kar do na.

Manik moved his hand towards her bare back slowly and again moved back.

Nandini: Navya jaldi karo.

Manik again moved his hands towards her back and closed his eyes and gaining all he courage he opened his eyes and slowly touched her bare back. Nandini looked into the mirror and found Manik there. They both looked at each other through the mirror for a while and then Manik caressed her back lovingly moving down. Nandini closed her eyes. Manik pulled up the zip and they both turned towards the mirror. Manik kept staring at her. He then kept his hands on her shoulder and looked into the mirror and saw a blushing Nandini which made him smile. She was wearing a long white gown which was sleeveless with her perfect wavy hair and her beige stilletoes.

Manik whispered: Beautiful!

Nandini blushed and turned around. They kept looking at each other for a while. Manik tucked her hair behind her ear and cupped her face gently. They moved closer to each other but their trance was broken by Cabir and Navya who were smiling looking at them. Manik gave an angry stare to both while Nandini just blushed.

Cabir: Love birds tum dono ka romance khatam hogaya ho to chale. Performance shuru hone wali hai.

Manik: Ya let's go.

They all started walking towards the stage and MaNan were stealing glances and blushing.

Saying this she entered the washroom taking her towel. Manik smirked and entered the washroom.

Manik: Kya hua Nandu? I just want to take a quick shower with you.

Nandini: Manik!

She pushed him outside the washroom and said," Tum dusre washroom me jao. And get ready fast." Saying this she locked the washroom door and Manik went to the other washroom smiling. Nandini took a quick shower and then she realised that she has no clothes to wear. She wrapped herself in a towel and went to the other room where Manik was taking shower. She knocked on the door and said," Manik I don't have any clothes to wear." Manik heard this and came out wearing his shorts and vest and looked at Nandini lovingly.

Manik smirked: I don't mind if you don't wear anything.

Nandini hit him playfully: Manik! Please.

Manik chuckled: I am kidding. Come with me.

Manik walked back to their room and Nandini followed him. Manik opened the door of the cupboard and took out a black shorts and a peach coloured half sleeved top and gave it to Nandini. She was shocked as well as happy. Nandini started going inside the washroom but Manik stopped her and said," Aree where are you going. Wait na." Nandini looked at him all surprised and the next second her eyes widened when Manik showed her a sexy lacy black coloured bra and a matching under pant. Manik smirked looking at her and she went inside as soon as possible snatching it from his hands. Manik chuckled looking at her and he also got ready wearing white shorts and a full sleeved t shirt with pink and white striped. Nandini was in the washroom and was blushing thinking about what had just happened. She came out looking absolutely stunning. She was surprised that everything which Manik had bought fit her well. She dried her hair and met Manik downstairs. They both went out and drove off on the back wearing their helmets. Nandini held him tightly and was enjoying the cool breeze. She raised her hands in the air and started screaming in joy. Manik smiled looking at her and then he stopped beside a lake. The view was beautiful and they were enjoying the cool weather holding each other's hand. They walking around the lake for some time and then again drove off from there.

Meanwhile, fab4, Navya and Abhi reached the farmhouse but it was locked. They couldn't see any servants also. They waited outside for a while and then called Manik. Manik's phone started ringing and he told Nandini to pick it up and put it on loud speaker and she did the same.

Cabir: Manik kaha ho tum dono? We have reached here and it your farmhouse is locked.

Manik: Oh shit! Sorry. Maine sare servants ko chhuti di thi. I will be back in some time. Sorry.

Cabir: Yeah! It's okay. We will wait.

He informed everyone and they said that it was okay. Manik drove off to his farmhouse as fast as possible. He parked his bike surprising everyone. They have never seen Manik on a bike. Nandini got down removing her helmet and so did Manik. They entered the farmhouse and got seated in the living room.

Manik: I am sorry guys. We just went on a long drive.

Aliya: It's okay. So how was your date?

Manik and Nandini blushed remembering about their romantic date.

Aliya: Aww. So cute! Look at them. They are blushing.

Manik hid his blush: It was awesome. Anyways we are here to have fun. So what is the plan?

Mukti: Let's have a pool party.

Cabir: Now that sounds fun.

Manik: So pool party it is!

Navya excitedly: Wow! Pool party. It wil be my first time.

Nandini: Mine too.

Aliya: Girl! It's going to be your best experience.

Nandini: Yeah! I am sure it will be.

Abhi: Guys. But first let's have some food. I am starving.

Manik looked here and there and was confused about what to do. He wanted privacy so he had told all the servants to take leave. Nandini understood looking at him.

Nandini: Manik don't worry. I will make food.

Manik: But Nandini.

Nandini smiled: Manik! I can. Trust me.

Everyone smiled and finally Manik also accepted it. Nandini went to the kitchen and started making food. Navya also followed her and helped her. Everyone else was sitting in the living room, talking and having fun while Manik was feeling bad. He excused himself and went to the kitchen. He stood at the door like a child feeling sorry. Nandini saw his cute face and went near him.

Nandini: Manik! Please don't feel sorry. I love cooking and I am sure you will love it.

Manik: Obviously I will love whatever you make. But.

Nandini: No ifs and buts. Just go and tell everyone to come on the dining table.

Manik smiled: Okay princess.

Manik called everyone on the dining table and soon Nandini and Navya came to the dining table with food. The smell of the food was driving everyone crazy. They looked at them with pleading eyes and Nandini just chuckled looking at their child like faces.

Nandini: So guys, I have made Enchiladas, Burritos and Mexican rice. I hope you all like it.

Manik: We will love it Nandini. You also sit. Everyone will serve on their own.

Nandini sat beside him and everyone served for themselves. Manik tasted everything and made some noises just like she did in the morning. Nandini was happy that everyone loved her food. She also started eating the food made by her. They finished their lunch and everyone praised her alot.

Dhruv: You are such an awesome cook Nandini.

Cabir: You bet! She is the best. I wonder what Manik has done that he got a girl like you.

Manik glared at him angrily and Nandini just blushed hearing all the compliments.

Nandini: Thank you guys.

Aliya: So let's get ready for the pool party.

Manik: Yeah!

Aliya: Girls come on. Guys we will meet at the pool side after an hour.

Cabir: Okay!

All the girls left and went to a room and started discussing about what to wear and at the same time, guys also went to change. In the girl's room, everyone was excited for the pool party.

Aliya: So girls! What are you all wearing?

Mukti: Aliya obviously a bikini.

Navya: I have also got a nice swim wear.

Aliya: That's great. And what about you Nandini?

Nandini: Umm.. Actually I don't have anything to wear.

Aliya: Oh shit! Now what?

At the same time, someone knocked on the door and Mukti opened the door and saw Manik. Manik entered the room with a bag in his hand. The girls surrounded Nandini and insisted her to show them what Manik had got for her. She just smiled and pulled out whatever was inside. Aliya got ready wearing a baby pink 2 piece bikini with a white netted short robe and Mukti wore a 1 piece bikini with light blue and white stripes. Navya wore a short navy blue swim skirt a strap less swim top which had white and navy blue stripes. They all went to the pool side where Cabir, Dhruv and Abhi were already present. Three of them were mesmerizing their girls. Cabir was sitting at the pool bar while Abhi and Dhruv were in the pool. Navya came beside Cabir and Cabir couldn't take his eyes off her.

Cabir: You look hot!

Navya blushed: Thank you.

Aliya took off her robe and sat on the pool edge dipping her legs in the pool. Mukti jumped in the pool. Dhruv came and sat beside Aliya while Abhi was just staring at Mukti. Meanwhile, Nandini was in her room looking at herself in the mirror. She was looking smoking hot in that biking showing off her perfect curves. She was looking at herself through all the angles. At the same time, Manik was passing through there and he saw Nandini looking at herself in the mirror. He had never thought that someone could look so hot. He moved towards her wearing a navy blue swim wear and stood behind her and pulled her closer by holding her stomach and his hand was touching her bare waist due to the cut in her bikini. Manik whispered in her ear," Are you trying to kill me?" Nandini just blushed and said," Do I look good?" Manik said," You look smoking hot." Saying this he turned her around. Nandini's hands were on his bare chest and he placed his hands on her lower waist slightly touching her buttocks. Withing no time he started kissing her and she also responded with equal passion. After breaking the kiss, Nandini looked down and was blushing. Manik held her hand and they both walked to the pool side hand in hand. As soon as they reached there, Manik joined Cabir at the bar while Nandini kept her phone on the bar counter and sat beside Aliya dipping her legs in the pool. Manik couldn't take his eyes off Nandini and kept staring at her. He took a beer bottle and started drinking it still looking at Nandini. Suddenly, Nandini's phone started ringing and it was Chachi's call. Manik called Nandini and she came soon. Nandini picked up the call.

Nandini: Hello Chachi.

Chachi: Nandu, tu enjoy kar rahi hai na?

Nandini: Yes Chachi.

Chachi: Acchi bat hai. Waise ek bat bolni thi. Ams ko urgent kam aagaya tha chacha se to hum sab Mangalore ko jana pada. Rishab bhi humare sath hai.

Nandini: Chachi sab theek toh hai na?

Chachi: Han beta. Tum tension mat lo. Hum sab parso aajayenge. Par ek problem hai. Tumhare pas ghar ki keys nahi hai.

Nandini: Chachi aap tension mat lijiye. Mai Aliya ya Mukti ke ghar chali jaungi.

Chachi: Accha beta. Mai rakhti hu. Bye. Take care.

Nandini: Ya Chachi. Bye. Take care.

She cut the call and went towards Manik. Manik asked her what happened. Nandini said everything to which Manik got very happy. He said that now he can be with Nandini for all the time till they come. Nandini just smiled looking at his excitement. Manik told everyone about it and they had decided to be at the farmhouse only for one more day. After some time, Manik also jumped in the pool but he saw Nandini sitting at the edge. He went near her and asked her to come inside but she refused as she didn't know how to swim. He smiled.

Manik: Nandini, the pool is not that deep. Look I am standing.

Nandini: Because you are so tall Manik.

Manik: Trust me Nandu!

Manik offered his hand and she happily held his hand and slowly entered the pool but she got scared so she just jumped on Manik and hugged him tightly and Manik also held her tightly in his arms. After some time, everyone was enjoying in the pool, splashing water on each other and dancing. Party songs were playing in the background. Nandini was also enjoying and dancing but still she was standing close to Manik. After some time, Manik took Nandini to a corner. He kept his arms around Nandini's waist and was caressing it softly. Nandini kept her hands on his chest and they were having an intense eye lock. Manik pulled her closer and Nandini's eyes widened as she felt his hardness.

Manik: I want to do it now.

Nandini blushed: Now?

Manik: Yes. Come with me.

Nandini: But Manik.

Manik didn't listen to her and dragged her with him to the changing room on the pool side. Meanwhile, Aliya and Dhruv were swimming together and suddenly Dhruv pulled Aliya inside the water with him and started kissing her and Aliya also kissed him back. After some time, they broke the kiss and came out of the pool. Aliya started blushing and soon went near Mukti pretending that nothing happened. Dhruv joined Cabir and kept staring at Aliya and she was also staring at him.

Meanwhile, As soon as they reached their Manik locked the door and started kissing her wildly and passionately placing his hands on her buttocks and pressing it. Nandini kept her hands around his neck and tried pulling him closer. He pinned Nandini to the wall and started pressing her breasts. He then ripped off her bikini and started kissing and licking her body hungrily. Nandini was just enjoying and moaning in pleasure. Aliya: Yeah! I love that game.

Nandini: I don't know how to play.

Cabir: I will explain. I will say that Never have I ever eaten an apple and if you have eaten an apple ever in your life then you will take a sip from your drink. And if you haven't then you don't have to do anything.

Nandini: Okay. Fine.

Cabir poured some soft drink in one bowl and alcohol in the other.

Mukti: Yeh kya kar raha hai Cabir? Do bowls kyu?

Cabir: Nandini doesn't drink na.

Nandini: I will.

Everyone was shocked.

Manik: What? Are you sure?

Nandini: Yes I am sure.

Cabir: Okay then. Navya what about you?

Navya: I don't have a problem.

Cabir just kept the Alcohol bowl between them and they all sat around the bar. They all started playing the game. It was Cabir's turn first.

Cabir: Never have I ever fallen in love.

Everyone except Mukti took a sip from the bowl. MaNan, Dhrulya and Cavya looked at each other while taking a sip while Abhi looked at Mukti while drinking.

Aliya: So my turn. Never have I ever kissed anyone.

Everyone took a sip except Abhi to which everyone was shocked and they started teasing him. He just giggled with everyone and then looked at Mukti.

Cabir: Nandini your turn.

Nandini innocently: Never have I ever cheated in an exam.

Everyone burst out in laughter.

Cabir: Seriously? Never?

Nandini innocently: I have never cheated.

Everyone smiled at her innocence and everyone took a sip from the bowl. Nandini was shocked seeing that everyone had cheated. It was Mukti's turn now.

Mukti: Never have I ever done it.

Nandini's eyes widened as she heard it. She looked at Manik who was smiling at her and took a sip from the bowl. Nandini also took a sip while blushing and looking at Manik. Cabir and Mukti also took a sip. Everyone started teasing Nandini. Nandini was feeling a bit embarrassed so Manik tried to stop everyone but Mukti didn't.

Mukti: Manik I hope you used protection.

Nandini shyly looked down while Manik eyed her to shut up. She giggled and stopped teasing her. They played the game for a while and then went inside as it was evening. Everyone freshened up and changed their clothes. They all came downstairs wearing comfortable clothes after some time. Manik had ordered pizza for everyone. They had dinner and then sat in the living room talking and laughing. Mukti and Cabir were drinking. Manik was also drinking but he was in control. Abhi and Navya had soft drinks while Aliya and Dhruv also had some drink. After some time, Nandini took the bottle from Manik's hand and started drinking it. Manik tried to stop her but she didn't stop. After some time, Mukti and Cabir were fully drunk and fell asleep on the couch itself. Aliya and Navya went to a room and fell asleep. Abhi and Dhruv shared a room. Nandini was also drunk and she started behaving weird and started laughing like a fool. Manik smiled looking at her. Nandini was sitting on the sofa totally drunk and Manik stood in front of her folding his arms across his chest and was thinking about what to do.

Nandini shouted: Manik! I love you!

Manik sighed and picked her in his arms and started walking upstairs. Nandini was shouting all the time to put her down but he didn't stop. He whispered, "I LOVE YOU MORE."

CHAPTER 18

Manik was just smiling standing there and Nandini was walking towards her room with a big smile on her face. After some time, when Nandini was in her room she got a text from Manik saying," Nandu, can't practice today. Dhruv is not well. So I have to take care of him." Nandini replied," Okay Manik. Take care of him. See you tomorrow my monster." Manik smiled and said," Ya. Bye My angel."

In the evening, Nandini was about to leave for the music room but she remembered about Manik's text so she sat on her table. She was sad so she opened her diary. She had written about everything that had happened with her since she came to Mumbai. She opened the first page and read about the incident with that guy and how her fireflies shined. She turned the pages and realised she had written everything related to Manik. She smiled and then she remembered about the train incident, the bus incident, singing with Manik, there dance in front of everyone, their miss kiss and today's hug and started blushing. Cherishing all the beautiful moments, she lost the track of time and realised it was too late. She then went to her bed and tried to sleep. She closed her eyes but couldn't sleep. She sat on her bed and said to herself," Mai so kyu nahi pa rahi hu? Mujhe kya ho raha hai? Bohot khali khali sa lag raha hai." Meanwhile, Manik was on his bed trying to sleep but he also couldn't sleep. He remembered about what Nandini had said today. He said to himself," Nandini doesn't want me to be close to any other girl. She was jealous of Aliya." Saying this he smirked. At the same time Nandini said to herself," Aiyaappa aaj maine Manik ko kya bol diya ki I don't want to see him close to any other girl. Wo kya soch raha hoga." Meanwhile Manik said to himself," I really felt happy when she told this. Anyways mujhe sona chahiye kal firse late hojaunga." At the same time Nandini said to herself," Iske bare me soch soch kar pagal hojaungi. I think I should sleep."

They both closed their eyes but still unable to sleep. They both sat on their beds. All they could think was about each other. They were restless. Nandini was holding her phone thinking that whether she should text him or not. At the same time she got a text from Manik. Nandini couldn't believe and was very happy. She read the text. It said," Nandini I want to meet you right now." Nandini replied immediately," Manik I also want to meet you right now." Manik was more than happy. He replied," I am coming to your room." Nandini replied," Manik. NO.. Navya is here." Manik replied," Okay. Then come to the cafeteria." Nandini got up from her bed, checked herself in the mirror and went to the cafeteria as fast as possible. As soon as she reached she found Manik waiting for her. They both smiled at each other.

Manik: Nandini.

Nandini: Manik. Tum mujhse kyu milna chahte the?

Manik: Tum batao tumhe kyu milna tha.

Nandini couldn't say anything and Manik also didn't give any reason.

Manik: Okay. Leave all this. Sit here.

Manik went and sat down taking the support of the food counter. Nandini went and sat beside him. They both didn't speak anything for a while.

MaNan together: I was missing you.

They both smiled looking at each other.

Manik: Nandu, Mujhe tumse kuch bat bhi karni thi.

Nandini: Han Manik bolo na.

Manik: Wohh. Aaj jo tumne bola that you don't want to see me with any other girl. Did you mean it?

Nandini looked here and there as she was embarrassed. She didn't know what to do. She thought she made a fool of herself but little did she know that Manik was happy about it. Manik made her look at him. He smiled and Nandini was confused.

Manik: I liked it.

Nandini: What?

Manik: Mujhe acha laga jo tumne kaha.

Nandini: Really? I mean you.

Manik: Nandu, Shh.. Even I don't want any other guy close to you. Cabir is exceptional.

Nandini looked down and blushed. Manik noticed this and smiled. He kept staring at her. Manik removed the strands of her which were covering her beautiful face and tucked it behind her ear. He was lost in her beauty. Nandini looked at Manik still blushing. Manik came out of his trance and sat in his initial position.

Nandini: Manik. Mujhe ice cream khana hai.

Manik: What? Abhi?

Nandini: Yes Manik. I love ice cream.

Manik: Okay. Mai abhi leke aata hu.

Nandini: Par kaha se?

Manik: Nandu, mai iss school me bohot time se hu. Sab pata hai mujhe. Just wait here. I will be back soon.

Manik left and Nandini sat there waiting for him wondering how he will manage to bring ice cream for her. Nandini kept waiting for 10 mins but he didn't come. She stood up and saw Manik comin there with a big carry bag in his hand. Nandini was shocked. Manik kept the bag on the counter and started keeping ice cream cups on the counter.

Nandini: Manik! Yeh sab kya hai? Itni sari ice creams?

Manik: Wo Nandu, mujhe pata nahi tha tumhe konsa flavour acha lagega so mai sab le aaya.

Nandini smiled and said: Manik.! Tum bhi na!

Manik said pointing towards the ice creams: This is Mango, then Strawberry, black current, tutty fruity, Chocolate, coffee and ya almond roast. So what will you have my angel?

Nandini was surprised with this and was very happy that Manik cared so much about her. She picked up the chocolate ice cream and sat on the floor. Manik also sat next to her. Manik was having a spoon in his hand and was about to give her but she started eating ice cream with her finger. She was having the ice cream like a little baby and enjoying it so much. Manik just kept staring at her and was wondering how someone can be so cute! She was busy in having her icecream and Manik was busy staring at her. Seeing her enjoying so much, Manik smiled looking at her. Nandini's hair were disturbing her so she tried to remove it with her hand but couldn't so Manik helped her and tucked the strand behind her ear and saw that some ice cream is there on her right cheek.

Manik: Nandini.

Nandini: Hmmm..

Manik: Wo tumhare face pe.

Hhe said pointing towards her cheek. Nandini rubbed her cheek but she couldn't clean the ice cream. So Manik said that he will do it. He moved closer to Nandini. He didn't know what happened to him. He cupped her left cheek with his left hand and moved his face closer to Nandini's face. His lips moved closer to her cheek. Nandini could feel his hot breathe on her face. Manik went closer and touched his lips to her cheeks and sucked the ice cream on her cheek. She was surprised and happy. Manik didn't realise what he was doing as he was lost in her. Then he slowly moved away from her. His hand was still on her cheek. Nandini looked at Manik intensely and so did Manik. They both were lost in each other's eyes. Their trance was broken by some unknown voice. Manik got up and looked around but couldn't see anyone. Nandini realised that it's too late so they both decided to go back. Nandini was about to leave.

Manik: Nandu! Wait

Nandini: Kya hua Manik?

Manik: It's too late. Mai tumhe tumhare room tak chhod deta hu.

Nandini agreed and they both started walking towards Nandini's room. In a few minutes, they reached Nandini's room. They both stood there looking at each other not knowing what to say.

Nandini: Umm.. Hum pohoch gaye Manik. You can go now.

Manik moved closer to her and hugged her tightly. Firstly, Nandini was shocked because of this sudden hug but she smiled and hugged him back with the same force. Manik was moving his hands on her back. Nandini clutched his t shirt. They both were smiling while hugging each other. Manik never felt so comfortable and happy with someone else and so did Nandini. After hugging for a while they broke the hug.

Nandini: Good night Manik.

Manik: Good night Nandu!

Nandini went back to her room and stood taking the support of the door. Manik was still standing there. She touched her right cheek and blushed. She suddenly opened the door and found Manik there. Nandini went near Manik and kissed her right cheek. Manik touched his right cheek with a surprised look. Nandini smiled at him and went back to her room and jumped on the bed hugging her pillow. Manik stood there for a while still touching his cheek and then he also went back to his room and lied down on his bed. He was very happy today and went to sleep thinking about her angel.

NEXT MORNING

Everyone was in the canteen. Fab5, Nandini and Navya were sitting together. Manik and Nandini were stealing glances and blushing. Navya noticed this between Manik and Nandini and so did Cabir. Cabir and Navya looked at each other and smiled. After some time, everyone was heading to the classroom. Nandini's bag was open and when she was walking a book fell down from her bag. She didn't notice. Dhruv who was behind her noticed this and picked up the book and went near her to return it.

Dhruv: Nandini!

Nandini turned back: Han Dhruv!

Dhruv: Woh tumhari book gir gayi thi.

Nandini smiled: Oh Dhruv! Thank you so much.

Dhruv gave the book to Nandini and she kept it back in her bag. They both started walking towards the classroom. They both talked with each other and were smiling and laughing together. They reached the classroom and sat on their places. Nandini was sitting with Navya and Manik was sitting with his buddy. Manik was constantly looking at Nandini but she was busy concentrating on the lecture. Dhruv also looked at Nandini again and again. Nandini felt someone's gaze on her so she looked to her left side and saw Manik staring at her. She didn't notice Dhruv. She looked at Manik and started smiling. Manik also smiled back. Dhruv thought that she is smiling at him so he also smiled looking at Nandini.
