@Mehr - A story or a serial that keeps the audience emotionally invested and manged to sell an honest moment or an emotion makes it all the more entertaining. Audience should expect that honesty , sensitivity and entertainment but be mindful to rational the expectations from time to time because it's a visual medium, a product in the end ,will cater to different market segments and has it's own limitations of story-telling.

Genie, You and I both know the answer, expect nothing cause it all comes down to what sells.

And to be honest the audience is not even intelligent enough to actually tell which is a better directed shot in these shows, or further tell the difference between direction and screenplay, the difference is huge, it's a real sad state in Indian Television.

@Mehr - True demand and supply. The medium will sell the what augers well with the majority and what pleases them. Also the need for constant supply , the 24/7 culture .

Honestly not just India , I have seen various English shows falling for the trap especially the ones that run on CW or have love story,drama as their theme. All goes down the hill post S1 and S2. Just they are technically superior and there is something for everyone which is again because their market is wide and spread over different geographical -social segments .

It's moments like today which makes a story beautiful. No compromising his hurt but not undermining their love.
