I am glad someone has broached this topic and put it all down so well, thanks Priyanka đ
Like you, I do completely understand the extent of Manik's hurt, the wound in his heart is still very much fresh so he is lashing out. I had been expecting him to go into hiding behind the monster facade of his, to derive some satisfaction and to irk Nandini, to express how hurt he is that he is letting go of himself. I had somewhat expected, that coming so far along in love with Nandini (because he had realised that he has lost his heart to her just before all this blew up in his face) will bring out a different kind of monster, a monster touched with love. I can understand that CVs are trying to depict his jerk behaviour and the intensity of Lover boy but this is certainly not the way. They should have rather and logically too, depicted some growth in Manik's character this time, by him not going out of his way to humiliate Nandini and give others (read Aliya) to talk bad about Nandini or to discuss his love life in detail. Because anyway Fab 5 don't ever do what friends should do for him, should mean for him. But just to allay their fears (and in a way let off his steam some more) he vociferously pulled down his association with Nandini and gave Aliya a reason and right to comment on Nandini behind his back as well.
^^^All of the above, really crushed my hopes of seeing a realistically improved Manik. I am afraid to say, that in real life such people don't change / improve/ alter for the good ever if they show zero progress at such a point in their supposed journey towards achieving that change. I have known and seen it in real life, personally so I am big time disappointed.
I know that this is just a tv show so Manik's character will change for the better and get redeemed for sure but I jut didn't want his persona to pop up such a disappointing real life comparison in my mind which yesterday's episode did.
Just my perspective...
Thanks.
