Conphused...thanx to Manik Baba today!! He has my mind running in circles, trying to put a finger on the pulse!! The why... not letting me rest in peact..err I meant work in peace (MaNan are a bane affecting my work life anyways 😆)!!
Just cannot get over Manik's reaction to Nandini's sex talk. We all know the guy is no shy wall flower, he has had his encounters and was after all in a very long relationship since a young age. And we all also know that physically he is a very expressive guy. He has difficulties expressing himself in words, but is exceptionally talented with his hands and makes good and extensive use of them😉😉 (so much so that Nandu believes he is an octopus...too many hands to grab and grapple with 😃).
Manik is definitely not a prude, nor a moralist, nor a shy teenager...why?? Then why such a reaction from him?? It was unexpected for me, and try as I might I keep on thinking what prompted him to react in such a way??
Just exploring the various avenues here. Coming from Nandini I guess, it threw him off kilter. He does think that Nandini has very high moral values and is a simple middle class girl, so was this open conversation totally unexpected?? He had maybe set some parameters, had some preconceived notions about girls like Nandini, and she shook or actually broke them in a jiffy. Is that what bothered him??
Or was it that he was uncomfortable talking about his past intimacies with Nandini. May be he values his privacy or rather the woman he was with's privacy too much. Did he fear that she might not take his past easily, will not be able to accept or digest his physical relationships?? Did he think she would be judgemental?? Or did he fear falling from grace, losing her respect?? Simply didn't want to dig the past, as that can cast long shadows on his present and future with Nandini??
Nandini, he considers to be so special, that he was embarrassed or ashamed of his past indiscretions??
Does he think this was a private conversation and Nandini had picked the wrong place and time for it?? Thus, his reluctance...
Another possibility, talking physical with Nandini, unsettles the guy. Makes him lose some self control, making him think a lot about what he wants and is not getting. Affecting his restraint a bit too much 😆😉!!
Or is he essentially a shy sort, a bit embarrassed to discuss this with Nandu (ok it cant get any weirder...sorry!!)
Another possibility, he thinks he can handle this easily, so why is Nandu not trusting him with it and going though such a complex charade to resolve the matter on hand?? His belief that he is born to shoulder all troubles, while the ones near and dear to him should just rest in his shade!
Last but not the least, he does not want her broaching this taboo topic openly because he thinks she will have to face a lot of heat and ridicule for this. He wants to protect her from public out lash, doesn't want her opening herself to sick people and their comments or actions. He hates it if his girl becomes a target of open discussions or scandalous debates. He just does not want her going public with such a private issue, as he thinks it will stir a hornet's nest. She will be too vulnerable and he wont be able to protect her from one and all...is that what bothers him??
I have tried to think of this from all angles. This place is filled with some of the smartest minds I have lately seen (no kidding). I would love to read your views, thoughts or comments or responses. Just want some answers...
