Some minor editing glitches aside, finally an episode which I am going to watch over and over again. Or maybe it's just a side effect of my major celebration over the show being 5 episodes per week again. It's like..dunya nayi nayi si lag rahi hai..I am feeling like those manga characters who become all doodly whenever they are extra happy or feeling dreamy..
*throws confetti all around*
Manik, when he has no idea what to do, just reverts to wanting to kiss Nandini at any time of the day, at any place. Just give him a Nandu who is cornered and no one around and his head will automatically lean closer to her, his eyes on the target which is her mouth. I love it how this time Nandini actually held his face and pushed him back. Baba be a gadha and Nandu be a tigress...it just shows who's got the more power. But on a serious note, I like it how she says the obvious stuff to him as they should be said - plainly and without hesitation. No, his apology isn't enough. No, she won't tell him what he should do because he was the one who made all the mess on his own. So it's only right that he'd be the one to fix things. This girl surely knows how to fix him but she doesn't put her hand in his mess. That's his job. She is only there to give him the perspective that he lacks and the sense he refuses to acknowledge and use.
The Dhruv-Nandini scene was beautiful. Dhruv questioning the strength of his feelings for Nandini. If it really is love, then why does he feel that pull towards Alya? He didn't deny his feelings for Nandini but he just put his feelings for Alya above that of Nandini. What he feels for Nandini is special for him, she did make his heart skip several beats. She was the first girl he saw as a woman, she left her breathless in her careless beauty. He dreamed harmless, beautiful dreams about her. Whatever the end his feelings faced, truth remains that for many days Nandini was the sole important thing in his life. It was a crazy crush for him, the one he named love. But with Alya things are different. That pull is different. The feeling is different. It's not a boy thing with Alya, with her he acts and thinks like a man. I can get his confusion. For many days he thought that he wouldn't be happy without Nandini. But then, just in few short moments, he got over her and is now searching for his happiness elsewhere. All he needed was a closure from Nandini, the one he mercifully got.
The base human nature of Nandini made her question herself, why not Dhruv? He's got everything she think she needs to be happy. In that moment she didn't see him as man, but she was seeing him for all that he stood for. Unconditional support, a shoulder to lean on, a friend who would be there for her. He was still the same, but she was trying to change her perspective there. But one line from him, "I'm so glad to have you as my friend." had her reeling back to reality. I loved this bit so much. Nandini realizing what she had said to him and immediately putting a stop to her imagination which would've ran wild. She has rejected him, she has asked him to be his friend, she has put an end to whatever their romantic line would've been; so why even think about something now that could never be? She wasn't hurt there, hers was a purely reflex action after that encounter with Manik. Some way to permanently walk away from Manik, she was trying to search for that in Dhruv. But one jolt of realization and she was back in reality. That's why I love this girl, the way she has the grip on everything.
Cabir is a born rockstar, hand him a beer and he becomes a legend. Right now all he has on his mind is to fix Manik up with Nandini. Even in his drunken state, all he wants is his friend to be happy with the girl he so obviously loves. I love the way he keeps shoving Dhruv-Nandini to Manik, he keeps making him realize the mistake he has done. And since he's Cabir and not Manik, he knows when to act and when to step back. So yeah, who cares if he can't walk straight..he gonna walk to Nandu and fix stuff.
Manik is such a bacha...but he is a smart bacha. He does realize his mistakes once someone (Nandini) grills him for that. Impulsive. The word which perfectly defines Manik. Today he acknowledged that he's a very impulsive person and never in a good way. I am happy that he didn't whine to Cabir, "I messed up but I am saying sorry na! So why isn't she forgiving me?!" Thank you Baba, for not saying those words directly. He is annoyed at her but he is considering her position as well. Isn't that what Nandu wanted him to realize? Aaah...he was talking to Cabir about how pissed off Nandu was. Mereko feels agayi! <3 Cabir asks all the right questions, the sensible questions which the Baby Baba doesn't understand. So if Dhruv doesn't move on, Manik is going to continue sulking like that, and walking around like a headless chicken? Speechless Baba was all the answer Cabir needed to take matters in his own hands.
Mukti is right, Cabir can be a pakka 'chep' when it comes to his purposes. Nandini ko game ke liye bitha ke hi dumm liya and even embarrassed Manik in the proceedings. Thank god for Cabir, there's some devilish sanity left in the show. One little detail that I want to point out here is the way Nandini uncomfortably eased her arm out of Cabir's grip. She may have become "friends" with them but she really isn't comfortable with all of them.
Khair, the game was HILARIOUS. I wish we gotten a bit more secrets out before getting down to business. Like, my favorite was everyone's surprised expressions when Nandini confessed that she had never cheated in her exams. And her reaction was even more surprised when everyone took a sip of the drink. But we got in to the business of the couply secrets too soon. But still it had its merits. It was ironically hilarious that the game which was supposed to make the secrets come out had its own share of secrets within. NO ONE knew what was going on. Cabir was instigating Manik over something jo sirre se HAI hi nahin! Mukti was being all giggly teasy with Alya about a relationship which has taken its last breath. And kisi ko kuch pata hi nahin 𤣠Oh, show.
I really don't know how the heck Dhruv-Alya are going to come out. Alya was super nervous about her kiss with Dhruv and it seemed like she really didn't want that secret out. Unless she was sure that there was some reason for it come out. But since Dhruv has a legit head on his shoulders, I don't think he would out their little secret just ainvayi. They haven't even talked about the kiss! Gaah! There's too much confusion between them.
As for our in-house Gadha, Baba Manik...he's precious. How can one be mad at him?! The guy was literally dancing conga in his heart when Dhruv said that he'd rather move on from Nandini! Dhruv's question, "why are you being happy?" had me in legit splits. Baba Manik be such an adorkable fool...oh you! <3 But yes! This thing is done and over with. Ab let's see how he proceeds with his Mission Nandini Patao. It seems like he has GREAT plans for Nandini and he's just waiting for her to forgive him, as evident from his excited tone when he was talking to Cabir. Me likes..me realllyy likes.
And as Harshad is a great character on paper who Abhishek annihiliated with his non-existent acting abilities, I can't ignore him. His impulse to touch Navya made me think ke either he really wants her by his side or that he had his actions planned. I am GLAD that Navya is actually confused about what to believe but seeing her track record and that thread around her neck..I am sure she will again trust her Harshadji again. I am just sitting around waiting to see how low Harshad can go..
