Actually, I get that Nandini and Dhruv are supposed to be some kind of platonic soul mates. They might end up really attached and share an intense connection.
But the fact is that soul mates and twin souls and those kind of things are not supposed to be romantic always. Your brother, best friend, even your enemy and parents could be your soul mates.
The characters in BOF share this special connection. But the girl is in fact in love with the other guy no.
Nandini and Manik are meant to be.
Not the most important thing as of now, but still Dhruv and Nandini cannot be a couple because Nandini in fact is in love with Manik. She might hate him right now, she might be angry but she is in love with him.
Dhruv has never seen all the sides of Nandini like Manik had. Dhruv thinks she is delicate which is the last thing she is. He might fancy himself in love with her. But when this image of her he has in his mind is going to break, he will realize that he loves her, cares for her but is not in love with her.
I mean Manik and Nandini both feel the same towards Dhruv in a way. I know that Manik and Dhruv don't really share your typical friendship bond -- it is more that that, They are like the platonic soulmates who will always love each other, will be in each other's lives and will always have influence over each other.
And Dhruv-Nandini equation will head in the same direction too. It will never be romantic, but the bond will be there, a bond of mutual love and care. It is like three souls attracted to each other in two different ways. Nandini and Manik will be in love always, they are meant to be. And because they both are like the different sides of the same coin and complete each other, Dhruv is attracted to them both. And because Nandini is -- let's say the other half of Manik only -- Her love for Dhruv one day might be just as strong as Manik's love for Dhruv. And Dhruv might come to love her just as much as he loves Manik. Hence, Manik being jealous of Nandini when he thought that she was coming between them and ruining their friendship. But that was when he didn't love her. The way he looked ather when she was around Dhruv during his attack was so telling. But now that he is in love with her, when he will see just how Manik-like she is with Dhruv and how Dhruv trusts her to be there for him and how he gives her equal importance as Manik, He will end up feeling more happy, more in love with her. He might as well crave this after this whole Dhruv in love with her mess is over and Manik-Dhruv sort it out and MaNan sort it out and DhruNi sort it out.One day, Nandini will be able to calm Dhruv down all by herself and then Dhruv will realize that he trusts Nandini and depends on her as much as he trusts Manik and they both have the occupy the same place place in his heart and life. They are just meant to be and everything doesn't have to be romantic. The show is so much more than that, man. *sigh*
