So, I thought alot yesterday, yeah I was pretty upset with Manik breaking Nandu like that but then after calming down and reading some very good posts here, I watched the scene again but in a different light: Manik is hurting, he only knows how to protect FAB 5 not himself. He doesn't care if he gets destroyed as long as FAB 5 are fine. That is what he did. This HAS to happen. Also, that Dhruv angle had to be played out, we knew that from the beginning of that show, that is the major hurdle in their love story, Manik has to see Nandu's pain in her eyes, he has to see Nandu being destroyed in front of him. He wants her to go to Dhruv..he probably remembers what happened during the goons instance, so he wants to stripped the beautiful memories of Manan from Nandini so that she can start afresh again, fall in love again. But what he doesn't realise that true love cannot be disrespected, if you are conflicted, fine, but let the other person decide. Or leave it to destiny.
It will be interesting to see how this unfolds, I honestly don't see Nandu being away from Manik for long either, they have always been with eachother. Yes Nandu's faith has been shattered (the fireflies) but it will be restored. Remember girls, Nandu is a practical person, once she gets over her initial hurt, she will realise in time. Remember dears, this is Manik's and Nandini's journey, from the very first episode it was established, these soulmates can't keep away from eachother even if they want to, even if they are hurt and destroyed, and Manik can't keep away from his star, he won't. That is a promise.
