He came into the night bringing pain and desolation.
She came into the night bringing love and fireflies.
They left as broken individuals, with their souls rendered asunder.
I hate him, hate him with a passion for shattering her innocence, hate him for taking the " sacrifice" route, hate him for shattering his, hers and my heart into smithereens, into pieces.
Who will mend these broken hearts, who will calm the quivering souls?
For every pain he caused, a million more he bore,
For every blow she took, a million more he wore
And yet as I hate him with a gut-wrenching agony, I love him for the misguided broken soul that he has always been. This character made up of all shades of grey, the character who had showed the most growth and yet in one callous night broke it all up.
The heart wants what the heart wants Manik Malhotra and you will learn it the hard way.
You will learn that you need to respect true love, respect the love that someone gives you unconditionally, for that this journey of pain, you will have to go through, you will take all of us along for the ride, for the pain and the agony, the ecstasy and joy.
"Tigana, let my memory of you be like a blade in my soul."
I am reminded of a quote from the book Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay.This quote was from a citizen of a fictitious country called Tigana whose citizens were erased of all memory of the name of their country, as if it never ever existed.
This is what Manik's state is going to be, he will remember Nandu like someone put a sword through his heart each and every time he looks at her, glances at her, smells her.
I just want to leave this note with a quote , this one is from Shakespeare's Richard the Third, so apt for this situation:
And therefore, since I cannot prove a lover
To entertain these fair well-spoken days,
I am determind to prove a villain
And hate the idle pleasures of these days.
I think I am not coherent enough today but I had to write it because the words they just needed to be put on paper.
