I think because she always saw Manik as this monster but really he justs shows it. Only that day itself she realised that Manik is not who he says he is, and hence that's why she is alittle confused. She is aware of the strange feelings, like when he stroke her arm and she was shaky when she said her name. It's her innocence that is coming into play.
