Nice analysis, but I think you are giving the shows producers too much credit.

You seem more intelligent than them. 😊

That's what I wonder sometimes...

I dont think the creative dumb heads have so much stuff in their head that they can think of all the symbolysms and stuff...Its just us, who seem to read so much of profoundness in every dumb move that they make!

E, you are simply superb and one of the talented writers we have on this forum...Ever thought of taking up writing as a proffession???

I think so too, I mean wasn't there a son, Albert (I think that's the name). I doubt it was revealed in the book that it was the protagonist's and Mercedes' son. Oh well, it'll be interesting.

Actually, I thought it was Albert was well and truly established as Edmond and Mercedes' son in the book? The difference between the book and the movie, if I remember the book from dim childhood memories, is that Edmond sails away into the distance because he was too disreputable a character to live as husband to Mercedes, or that getting remarried to him at an .. err, advanced age .. would not be graceful for Mercedes.

Of course, in KYPH, if AK gets back in a year, advanced age will not be problem...

But I _still_ don't believe that KS will get married to Once Saint, Now Insane Prithvi. I have a feeling that this bad-boy AK will be all about revenge for himself and his best buddy, and that KS will help. It will be a plan worthy of Josh's memory. :-/ I really don't think that AK&KS are going to break with each other in this split-session; and no, no well-reasoned thoughts - just gut feel.

(Ugh! Gut feel about KYPH-writers! The people who could only think of a gruesome murder for Josh to get CHansraj out of the show! Ugh! I think I need to drink some strong medicine to clear out my gut!!!)

Hey Raksha, :-)

I don't write well, IMHO. Lots of people here write much better than I do - I use 25 words when one will do, which I think is terrible!

I'm like JKRowling by the time that she got to Harry Potter, Book 4, where she has become a bad writer with good ideas who needs a seriously strict editor; whereas she wrote decently well in Books 1-3 as well as had cool ideas.

But at least JKRowling has a good story continuing even when she is writing badly. I'm not sure that KYPH-writers ever started with that good story :-( or even good characters. I've always thought they consistently made a hash of KS' character (after the AK&KS breakup, her only one shining moment was that courtcase by RandomWoman against AK) and now they've had Josh _murdered_. :-(

This posting was my requiem to Josh; after this, I'm aiming to get back on track with ripping KYPH-writers for all sins that they commit.

I'm not sure _what_ to make of AK's lack of initiative when it comes to bettering his own life. He's so very indecisive about anything - it's like he is terrified of taking one step unless he gets the entire world saying that it's the right thing to do. Very very un-early-AK-like.

Notice that I didn't slave over the AK bits in the write up. :-(

3.I did not like the sudden change of Prithvi into a beast. They could have shown a gradual change.

IMHO, I think we were getting it - perhaps, the way that Prithvi's face fell in each of the previous episodes that we had KS showing more and more signs of falling back in with AK was too subtle?

But yes, I did find the severe contrast between the Prithvi being Saint Prithvi in the previous episodes very discordant with the Prithvi being Insane Prithvi in this one. The strangest part, I guess, was that both sets of scenes were equally convincing.

BTW, I don't think it was the acting alone: the script and the picturisation and the cinematography all together worked. I wasn't as compelled by only the acting, I think, or I certainly couldn't tell. It was very very good, but in all honesty, I think that standalone MIKhan in the early episodes of KYPH were superior quality than this one, because the acting was superb despite silly situations and silly script.
