Hi guys,

When I was in school, I had read a real-life incident in my English class.I don't remember the namesw of the guy and the girl but here it is..short, sweet and endearing...

A guy and a girl were enagaged to each other...a normal young couple totally in love......they used to work in an eating joint...the guy had a dream of trekking in snow-capped mountains.Him and his girlfriend saved up money so that the guy could have his dream holiday.

They went trekking to those mountains and were assigned log-cabins.Both of them were really happy...in love..and together in an adventure. The area was known for Grizzly Bears...very dangerous kinds who tear you up into pieces if they get their hands on you.

The girl went sight-seeing as her boyfriend approached the cabin. She didn't see the danger sign and soon found herself facing an angry Grizzly Bear. She was attacked and the guy heard her. He ran to her aid ...he realised that he needed to draw the bear's attention to himself in order to save his love.He hit the bear with a log and the bear immediately reacted by letting off the girl nad attacking the guy.

The girl screamed for help.....she was bleeding badly in the arms and shoulders but ran to fetch ppl for help.Meanwhile, the guy was badly mauled by the angry bear......he lost his face and was near death when he was saved by some shooters who wounded the bear.

The guy had lost his face, it was to be reconstructed and even after several surgeries, nothing much changed and he was to be on crutches for a long-long time.He didn't want his fiancee to spend her life looking after him and marrying a man who didn't even have a face.He started avoiding her and told her that their relationship was off.

The girl was shattered but she didn't give up...it had to be him or nobody else. She pursued him for three years, convincing him that this accident hadn't changed a thing....their love was same.Ultimately, the guy gave in, called her up....took her to a jewellery shop and bought her an engagement ring.

This is a true incident and it happened in America years ago. It was brought into the public eye by some journos.

This is only a summary, the real thing made me cry.

Thanks Sugar, for posting that love -story.That's what made me think of posting this one.

gosh. things like that kind of strengthen our belief in true love, don't they?

it really is that simple - i love you and i cannot, will not live without you. however, in this fast, materialistic world we'd rather remember pride, ego, success and ease. we forget the purity of emotions. thanks for reminding us nitica.
