i completely agree ...by making her appear somethin she's not will not onli seem fake but also untrue 2 her charachter ...i personali can't see a prob wid her wearing shalwar kameezes while performing ...but rather allows an opportunity 4 us 'young asians' 2 begin (althou most r already😃) 2 b proud of wearing our own clothings wid easy n confident ...she's singing hindi after all ...if she was singing in english i'd understand the need 4 her 2 wear western outfits ...but not otherwise ...it reali doesn't seem 2 b justified ...purely on the basis that she is 2 b a 'pop star' ...after all is the point they r tryin 2 reflect 2 us that singers r never wot they appear?! ...if so, i think thats a lil harsh ..esp if u take mona singh as an example (UK-born punjabi singer) she wears trouser-suits in her videos ...doesn't reali need 2 ...yet does
