Chetan Hansraj tells BT about the film he is doing with Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi

Chetan Hansraj is maha thrilled about his role in Raj Kaushal's film, where he will be starring with no less than Sunjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi. But this is not the first time he will be seen on the silver screen. Not known to many, Chetan started his modelling career as a five-yearold, and as he reveals, "At 14 I acted in a children's film Kukdukudu and went to France for a film festival with Gulzar and Khalid Mohammed."
He not pursue films when he grew up because he did a fashion designing course form NIFT and a two-year course in animation. But soon his urge for building a physique and entering a modelling pageant got the better of him. Later he drifted to tele serials, starting with Shh… Koi Hai , Kkusum, Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat and who can forget him as Sasha in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki? He has also done cameos in Kkavyanjali, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai.
But all his work in television did pay off when he got a call from Raj Kaushal's office and before he knew it, he had signed on the dotted lines.
About his character in this yet untitled movie, which is to be shot in Bangkok, Chetan divulges, "Mine is a negative role, a stylised and cool persona that is an integral part of this movie." Despite playing a villain's part, it is surprising to note that this handsome hunk still manages a song sequence. And for now he is happy doing just one serial on TV and enjoys his status as the new papa to a bonny son!
