I'm busy with my exams, so I don't know if I'll be able to do this tomorrow and Thursday. I can't guarantee, but I will try my utmost to squeeze it in some how.
The show was.....tame (for lack of a better word) compared to where we left of on Friday.
It starts off with Angad, still being chased by images of Kripa and Prithvi together, sitting on the stairs, crying as a beautiful sad song plays in the background.....could someone enlighten me about the song title, movie etc, please.
In yet another effort to drown his pain and sorrows, Angad turns to alcohol, like the modern day Devdaas of earlier KYPH times, all the time being haunted by his memories of happier times with Kripa. And Shabir, once again, proving to be a good buddy, tries to get him to stop, saying its not good for his health......ummm......my dear man, Angad has just had his heart ripped from out and trampled on.....he's not concerned about his health........or anything else for that matter. Shabir asks Angad why his killing himself. Angad ponders on why Kripa did that, did she truly start loving Prithvi or did she do it to give him pain. Shabir continues by telling Angad that in order to forget, he must remember (something like that), asking Angad if he hates Kripa then why the tears, to which Angad wipes the tears he didn't realize he was shedding, and replies that those tears were being shed because the person he loved more then life itself did this to him, what must he do to forget, to not hurt?
And finally the alcohol takes effect and Angad sleeps, escaping the memories and the pain for a short while.
Second set starts with Zaib going to the Bose house for breakfast and the first thing he lays his wounded eyes on is Kripa coming down the stairs, and when she sees him, not even an ounce of regret.....instead an arrogant tilt of her head, all the while thinking to herself that Angads face reflected his defeat....while all Angad could do is stare at her with pain written in his eyes....which promptly made me want to reach into the t.v and wipe it off her face (Sorry, guys, it just grated on my nerves).
In an attempt to show Kripa that he is unaffected by her, he roo-roo's with Mishty, inviting her to dinner. You know, as much as it irritates me to see him roo-roo rooing with Mishty, yesterday she was his only line of defense against the pain he felt at seeing Kripa, so for once all I could think is: "Stick it to her, Angad". And boy oh boy, did it work. Dear Miss Kripa was a nice shade of irritated and jealous, as she stood frozen in place while Zaib held Mishty and told her that from now onwards they will walk all the paths of life together.....all the time aiming those famous Angadian looks at Kripa over Mishty's head, cocky smile in place. Yet those eyes weren't smiling......hardly, they were promising Kripa retribution.
Side point....Angad and Kripa looked exhausted yesterday....bag's under their eyes, totally lack-luster compared to Prithvi, Mishty and Damini. I don't know if it's Iqbal and Neha that are feeling the stresses of work or what, but they need to get some serious rest. Ekta, are you listening???
Mishty and Damini's heart to heart was rather nice, Damini saying that if her daughter is happy so is she ,and Mishty was all aglow in her love for Zaib, and clueless as usual to the undercurrents between Angad and Kripa. All in all, a nice mother-daughter scene.
Angad phones the Bose house and when Kripa answers, he tells her to relay a message to Mishty about meeting him in a hotel room in the evening, which, naturally has Kripa thinking about Angads plans (but then, when is she not thinking of Angad in one way or another), thinking that she should stop this rendezvous, before Mishty gets hurt....umm....Kripa my dear, that little green man popping out again, hey.......She lies to Prithvi about her plans and like a good predictable girl, she rushes off to the hotel to save Mishty form Big, Bad ZAngad.....or so she convinces herself, only to have Prithvi find her about to enter Zaib's hotel room....why, that clever, clever man. He planned the whole thing.
As Prithvi confronts Kripa, she stammers, looks anxious and guilty, and Prithvi storms off in a huff....and what does Angad do.....in classic steamroller Angad style, he never lets the opportunity pass, he gets up close and personal.............and offers her some Kleenex, followed by a casual request to send Mishty upstairs, should she run into her in the lobby.........ROTFL, at this!!!!!
Prithvi's anger, Kripas anxiousness and stammering, Angads cocky smile as he sees their confrontation, followed by the innocent confusion as he refutes Kripa's statement of rehearsals.....this was classic Angad in top form.....too good!!!
And here I was hoping to see some explosive confrontation between Prithvi and Kripa only to have her talk her way out of the mess that Angad landed her in.......saying that she was worried about Misthy, as Mishty and Zaib were not yet married.
Side note no 2: Did anyone notice how she said: "I'm concerned about YOUR Family......not our family"....it might not mean anything, but it stuck in my head.
And this is where my confusion came in......Prithvi tells her that their relationship should not reach the point of them being suspicious about each other, and that though they are married, they don't share the kind of relationship that married people do......SAY WHAT!!! I'm totally confused, because didn't they just sleep together, hasn't she granted him his conjugal rights.....or, and I'M REALLY HOPING THIS IS THE CASE.....did Angad just imagine the whole thing.....OH PLEASE.....PRETTY PLEASE, let this be true!!!!
But then when Angad phones Prithvi, Prithvi says that he is a happily married man, and something about the misunderstanding being cleared, which leads Angad to wonder how its possible that his plan didn't work……that perhaps Kripa once again.......and that's where it ends.
O.k., back to Prithvi's ambiguous statement, and its driving me nuts.....if Kripa didn't sleep with Prithvi, what was with all the broken bangles, or did Angad imagine that as well? Its pretty hard to fathom as he was standing outside his bedroom, talking to Prithvi just before he saw those bangles, and Prithvi did say that all their problems had been resolved......but he could have been referring to his conversation with Kripa, in which he told Kripa he didn't want her to do something she wasn't ready for.......and it this is the case, was Kripa clever enough to break a few of her bangles and leave them scattered in plain sight, because she knew what Angad would think????
There are all these questions running amok in my mind, but then I think its and Ekta show......am I giving the writers too much credit, am I associating too much intelligence with them, to come up with something like this.............THIS IS DRIVING ME NUTS!!!
Someone please enlighten me!!!
Sigh!!! Where's a good preview, when you do desperately need one.
