both zaib/angad and kripa spend a lot of time remembering how sweet their lives with each other earlier. zaib/angad is in the garden squeezing the life out of some poor leaves. kripa is being driven back home by prithvi. but they are both in their own world.
zaib/angad is getting soaked in the rain, and getting sozzled on beer. the lawyer, shabbir, walks up to get him back in. zaib/angad can't understand why he shouldn't be in the rain, celebrating his success. his success at making kripa cry. his success at getting mishty away from karthik. and after a while, it is not clear that he is laughing or crying. he is crying because shabbir says that he ought not to ignore that karthik is his brother. and he cannot understand why he should still think of karthik as his brother. after karthik didn't even care to keep in touch of where angad was. as his father didn't care. as his mother didn't care. zaib/angad is one sorry, soggy, sozzled mess who can only see shabbir as his friend who cared. he recounts how shabbir helped him get a lighter sentence, who kept in touch with him as he was transfered from one jail to another, who knew of his transformation to zaib. but we get to see what a sorry, soggy, sozzled mess zaib/angad has as a hurting heart. and this heart hurts most because he was abandoned by kripa.
mishty overhears karthik thanking prithvi for putting together the party for her. and prithvi asks karthik to thank kripa instead. she gets as mad as a hatter. she waits for kripa and yells at her for manipulating the situation to keep her close to karthik and away from zaib/angad. she also yells at kripa for abusing her brother (prithvi's) trust because she is convinced that kripa is doing all this to keep zaib for herself.
prithvi and kripa in bed together. prithvi can't keep his eyes off kripa. kripa looks like she has angad on her mind. prithvi reassures kripa that he will wait for her forever. she thinks that she will never let mishty get to zaib/angad because she doesn't want mishty to suffer like she did.
well, at least, kripa has good intentions. zaib/angad doesn't seem to care for mishty's feelings at all -- all he cares about is that karthik pays by losing mishty. but above all, zaib/angad wants kripa to pay for having abandoned angad.
hmm. vengeful angad. mixed-up unfortunate kripa. poor mishty. karthik unaware. prithvi, always aware and always watching. useless naina. ooof. kaisa yeh serial hai. -esther
