Yes, Zeb is not mean, because he doesn't feel mean. If one does not feel remorse, he cannot feel mean. He has gone through doses of sufferings, and resided in the dirty and gruffy dungeons of jail, there a thick layer of isolated hatred plastered itself. Now, finding the love beneath the layers is hard, the surface is only hatred now!

Kripa deserves to be hated, to be punished in Zeb/Angad's eyes, because of her lies that impacted his loss of one full year in jail for no crime at all. He finds this betrayal. Little does he know - that Kripa as usual acts on impulse and hasty decisions, and her innocent little mind does not stretch that far. Oh, I feel sorry for both of them. They yearn and crave for each other, yet they are made apart and people use this as an advantage!
