Pine & Premonition

Hey girls,

How is it going? Gosh, what a hectic week! This week has been so stressful. I need to catch up on my sleep, too. All right, all right, I won't make you fret by informing you further of the on-goings in my life. I will move on to your recent passion, emotion and subject of discussion - pine-head.

Sigh! Since last night, I had been gripped with the fear of having to mince my tongue. Needless to say, all my fears were grounded: I had failed miserably to see through pine's cold exterior. I had gone to the length of calling him an equivalent of a male prostitute. I must admit that I was excessively harsh & judgmental of his attitude. Watching his toils and listening to his inner turmoil, my weak heart gave in. Now, I shall and will retract my words.

Note to self: Don't fail to look beyond the surface. Under the superficial exterior, you might find gold that you would admire & appreciate. Who says that one can't learn from Ekta Mai's soaps? Indeed, I learnt a valuable lesson! Soul-searching is next on list.

Once again, pine has inspired awe in me. Thanks to IQ's realistic portrayal of Angad, my heart went numb and tears rolled down my cheeks as he knelt down looking dejected, defeated and hopeless. I still don't understand why pine would want to gnaw his spikes at jalapenos, but for the first time, I actually feel compassionate towards him. Dare I say that IQ overdid it - it was somewhat hard to decipher what he was saying to Dadi while he was crying. You know what tugged at my heart the most -

1. He hates himself for stooping so low to get back at jalapeno, leach-e & karela.

2. His loneliness - jalapeno's questioning eyes & naina's momentary sadness for his demise

3. He hates jalapeno cause she won't love him. For the first time, he made me go 'awwwwww'! Why has love given birth to so much hatred?

Nitica, you always mention that he needs to fall in love with jalapeno to revert to Angad. However, I must say that he won't need to fall in love with jalapeno to get out of his cold shell. In fact, he is already in love; Jalapeno needs to admit her love for him and trust him. Trust, hmmm - I am reminded of momentary happiness I saw on his face when he thought that krips had believed that he was zaib. All he desires is to be trusted, cared for and loved...just like misthi, jalapeno, karela, leach-e & my jalapeno.

For my jalapeno... I have done enough justice to you: I have fought to a bitter end with many a people on this forum for you. I will always remain on your side and empathize with your situation. Nevertheless, will you do me a favor? Go hug pine-head and caress him just once - he really NEEDS it right now! If you tell him 'I believe you' just once, he will be the happiest man to walk this planet.

I am glad that he spilled all anger and hurt in front of dadi. Maybe, that shall give him some peace. I am glad that the writer's chose to depict this particular moment. Otherwise, I would have missed finding how pure pine's soul is. I am so happy to be able to touch his soul, if not understand him completely. After listening to pine, I am willing to forgive lowest of his acts. I wonder what gave me the right to forgive him!

On a side note, why are you guys despising Naina for saying that she will give her love for angad to kartick from now on? I don't think that she has forgotten anything, but has made a conscious effort to reconcile with her other son and move on with life. It doesn't mean that she forgot angad. What she couldn't and wouldn't do before, she is doing now – showering her love on kartick. It's a tad bit sad that it took angad's death for her to realize her follies.

Well, if you were having a hard time concentrating on reading the post...I will sum up for you..

1. I have developed a soft spot for pine-head. I love him for his extreme and at times irrational views.

2. Jalapeno is still on my favorites list. I don't see any faults in her.

3. Spare Naina for reconciling with kartick, the karela.

4. I think you have had enough of me for a day ;)

I adore you all! I have failed to put in emoticons...here you go, 🤢 make your pick..and insert them where ever you deem necesary.😆 And don't be afraid to agree or disagree...I promise I won't bite your heads off for saying anything against any of the characters.😆😆

Tell me something, have my writing/post lost its flavor or spice? Well, I would like to think there is some in there. I feel I am repeating myself and find my own views cold and degenerative. I don't know why, but I feel I have lost my sense of humor and sarcasm somewhere, too. I am taking life too seriously. (sigh)

Any thoughts?

My daughter was just sitting in my office and she could not watch Angad cry...she started crying and got up and left...this character has touched alls heart that's all I have to say...

Iqbal's performance was mindblowing today...infact I told his brother...the best yet!

Your poor jalapenos I pity her right now...Angad has vowed to take revenge from her, like nothing...she better run and hide, all I have to say...

Yes pallavi, jalapenos is an outsider...I am said it time immemorial that she should stop caring for people who hurt her so much...all her friends are only friends for name-sake...and I use the term friends for a lack of better word...actually they are more like aquaintances.
