What is the defination of Hearthrob? It's someone who is loved by all like Shahrukh Khan rite, then How can Iqbal Khan be a hearthrob when there ARE so many that don't like him?

heartthrob - an object of infatuation
matinee idol, idol - someone who is adored blindly and excessively.

Iqbal is not our idol, but yeah we like him. My idol is angad, i m inspired by angad, nd angad is nothing without Kripa also kripa is nothing with out angad. Just i want to say he is not hearthrob like Shahrukh. He just popular cause of angad nd zaib characters.

Heart throb - is a person, whom you like to see - it has nothing to do with love. You admire the person, this person affects you in a charming way,I agree with Veena di, heart throb is that who is adored blindly and infatuated with not the heart but the physical attractions.

i think IQ's not a hearthrob cuz he's not known by many people in order for him to be a hearthrob............n he is not hearthrob like Shahrukh n Amitabh....

Lol good question. I have wondered that also many times, and Veena's definition is correct. After pondering about it many times, I eventually realized that these media people use the word "hearthrob" as a very eye-catching and attractive adjective, although it doesn't usually fit the person. For example, in the description of the host Manav, on the Fame Gurukul website, they call him a "hearthrob of millions when he acted in Kusum." But was Manav really a hearthrob when he acted in Kusum? Um, not really.. ha.. so yea, these media people don't think before writing these adjectives..
