It became a phrase to describe the loved ones who suddenly turn hostile!

ok... this is from da play JULIUS CAESAR... caesar treated brutus like his own son, but there were some ppl in rome who believed that CAESAR was becoming a tyrant... so they somehow convinced BRUTUS to murder caesar...
and when brutus stabs caesar... julius cries out... 'et tu brute?'...meaning that 'you too brutus...?'
