Neha Bamb and Iqbal Khan
It's now time for Sony daily Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai to raise the curtain on a progression in the plot.
The cast and crew flew yesterday to Dubai for a week-long schedule, which will mark a new twist in the lives of richie-rich rock star Angad (Iqbal Khan), his love interest Kripa (Neha Bamb) and scheming Prithvi (Amit Tandon).
Story so far
In an unbelievable encounter, Prithvi stabs Josh (Chetan Hansraj) to death; the cops hold Angad responsible for the murder. He's proven guilty in court and given a 14-year sentence.
Kripa is shattered to see Angad behind the bars. She's also made to believe that Angad had a one-night stand with Simone (Barkha Bisht). She clings to Prithvi for support and is desolate with the belief that Angad had only feigned love for her.
Dubai calling
The story unfurls with Angad (who has now assumed a new identity) crossing a road in Dubai, when Kripa spots him. She confides her disbelief to Prithvi, who dismisses it. With the passage of a year Angad has been acquitted and got back his rock star status.
Says a member of the unit, "Right now, we're finalising the name. We're still in the process, but most probably, Angad will now be known as Zeb."
Angad is now driven by a strong sense of revenge and wants to settle scores with Kripa. However, he continues to be ignorant about Prithvi's villainy.
Makeover time
Actor Iqbal Khan has gone in for a drastic makeover to suit the intentions of a renewed Angad.
He will now sport golden streaks coupled with a volley of hues to match his chic clothes. The metallic look will be further enhanced with junk jewellery.
Says a member from the creative team, "We wanted to work out an exclusive wardrobe for Angad, but due to lack of time, Iqbal has picked up some stuff on his own. As far as his looks are concerned, he's already complaining about the hair mascaras he has to use."
Says an enthralled Angad, "I'm not going to tell you the exact twists in the story and my character. But it's going to be very exciting."
A source from the channel added that the year leap has been chalked out to lure more audience after the show started facing stiff competition from Siddharth Basu's popular game show, Mom Tum Aur Hum, on Star Plus.
