Ekta Kapoor, the czarina of small screen, has decided to form a partnership with Sunil Shetty's Popcorn Entertainment to produce films. She has already roped in her uncle and veteran filmmaker Ramesh Sippy to look after the film division of her company. She has divided the Balaji Telefilms into two and now onwards the film division will be known as Balaji Motion Pictures and will concentrate on films only. Earlier too, she had tied up with Sanjay Gupta for ' Shootout at Lokhandwala.' As Sunil Shetty explains, ' Ekta's Balaji and my Popcorn Entertainment have been in talks for a while. When I heard the script of Apoorva Lakhia's next film I knew this was the right moment to concretize our collaboration. Hopefully, Ekta and I will be looking at many more collaborations.' |
