Pre-Gunn Agarwal
A lawyer and Parvati's bahu who was always supportive of her. Gunn's relationship with her husband becomes estranged when he believes that she is having an affair with Nikhil Mehra. Due to the baby swap, Krishna finds out that he is not Tannu's father and accuses Gunn of cheating with him. Unable to take it anymore Gunn vows to reveal the secret on the night that Krishna is murdered. When Parvati is accused of the crime, Gunn goes against the family to try and save her but looses the case and finally sees Parvati's dead body in the prison.
Post-Gunn Agarwal
A woman who has remained a widow for 18 years, taking her of her daughters Pragati and Tannu. She is treated badly by Trishna and constantly taunted as her punishment for going againt Trishna years ago to defend Parvati in court. Gunn can't seem to stand up for herself like she used to since she has lost all hope. However, Janki Devi stirs in her a need to become her old self once again through sarcasm, but Gunn is still uncertain.
Pre-Shruti Kaul
From a girl who loved her mother more than life to a wife who saw her husband's needs were more important than hers. So blinded by Sameer's love and not wanting to loose to love again, Shruti started turning against Parvati. After the baby-switch Shruti distances herself even more and believes that her mother always preferred Gunn over her. She is then made to believe by Trishna that Parvati killed Om and Krishna, and unfortunately, she buys it and goes against her mother in court. She is last seen looking at Parvati's dead body with one single tear in her eye.
Post-Shruti Kaul
Refusing to age, she stays trendy with the current fashions and has become Trishna's right-hand girl, handling the family business with her husband Sameer. Shruti wants to get close to her biological daughter Tannu but the latter hates her and doesn't want to have anything to do with her. Shruti then comes face to face with Janki Devi and becomes even more bitten when she comes to live at the mansion. Daily dealing with her unresolved Parvati issues, Shrurti tries hard to convince herself that Parvati was a woman who lived for herself.
Pre-Sameer Kaul
A nice young man who loved Shruti more than life. He is then thrown into devastation when Gayatri runs away with his son. He demands that the next child he has must be a boy and even though Shruti is asked not to have children again, she gets pregnant. Sameer never knew about the baby-switch and believes Praney to be his son. He was also involved in some underhand dealings with Rajeshwari Mehra and tried dragging Krishna into it as well. However, his fraud caught up with him and when Parvati threatened to expose him, he goes against her.
Post-Sameer Kaul
A ruthless businessman who can only see his benefit in everything. He is powerhungry and bends to Trishna's every command. He wants his son Praney to join the family business but the latter wants to be a writer. Sameer is annoyed over this and on top of this, his past of scandal in business is slowly catching up with him.
Pre-Sunaina Mehta
A studious girl who was everyone's sweetheart. Unable to marry the man of her dreams, she marries the second best, Varun Mehta. She then constantly berates him on trying to earn more so she can live a better life and makes it very clear that she doesn't want children. However, she gets pregnant and when Gunn looses her child after the accident she is the one who suggests and carries out the baby-switch. She keeps silent for her own personal gain, never realizing that she is hurting Parvati who loves her so much.
Post-Sunaina Mehta
She is another suck up to Trishna and has become a gossipy housewife. She has a daughter Neha whom she is constantly trying to control. She does still have her values hidden deep inside and even though she competes with her cousin Shruti a lot, she still cares for her deeply.
Pre-Varun Mehta
A boy with simple hope who wants to make something out of himself by not harming anyone else, but he is under too much pressure from his wife Sonu. Although he wanted to side with Parvati, he never had the guts to do it and always fell short.
Post-Varun Mehta
His character is carried on into the future where he still bends to Sonu's will and tries with everyone else to impress Trishna.
Pre-Parth Agarwal
Having been sentenced to jail for the conspired murder of Avantika Agarwal and Sambhav Khanna, he is released when it is proven that he was not an official part of it and that he actually tried to stop the bomb before it went off. He then appears sometime later, carrying in his hand a baby he calls Bharath and is shocked to find that Parvati has been sent to jail.
Post-Parth Agarwal
A man who has succumed to loss in his life and is the father of four sons, Bharath, Ronit, Tiny and Bheem. He tries to stop his oldest son Bharath from travelling the same road he travelled but he fails miserably. He misses Om and Paravti but would never dare say it to anyone.
Pre-Shikhar Mehra
A deceptive young man who was out to get Mayuri for insulting the Mehras until his plan was foiled by Parvati whom he shot. He was sent to jail for trying to kill Parvati and trying to destroy Mayuri's character. In jail he meets Machan Garg and finds common purpose with his anger towards Parvati.
Post-Shikhar Mehra
A responsbile businessman with a shady past involving a box with a skeleton and a lot of other things that don't make sense. He is father to one son named Vikram Aditya Mehra, whose mother, surprisingly, is Mayuri.
Pre-Mayuri Mehra
A young girl with lots of hopes and dreams who was one of Parvati's major supporters. She was a lively individual who would do anything for the people she loved. After getting out of the big mess with Shikhar, she helps Suyash in getting Parvati out of the asylum and then disappears.
Post-Mayuri Mehra
A woman who suffers from an illness caused by great mental shock. She is married to Shikhar Mehra and is the only one who knows the truth behind the box, the skeleton, the socks and the bracelet. She also has a major fear of sharp objects, this is something she shares with her son Adi.
Pre-Ashutosh Mehra
A sweet young man who has grown up without the love of his mother and the only person he looks up to is his brother Nikhil. He finds his mother in Parvati and they become very close. However, in his absence he finds that Parvati is sent to jail and that she died there.
Post-Ashutosh P. Mehra
He is a CBI officer who is hunting for the truth behind this box, which he believes has caused Mayuri's illness and is linked to Shikhar and Parvati somehow. He also knows that Janki Devi is Parvati but hides it from her. He refuses to accept Suyash and Rajeshwari as his parents and holds fast to the fact that Parvati is the only mother he had. He never shows emotion and is very secretive and suave in his methods.
Pre-Gayatri Gill
A girl who was madly in love with Sameer until Shruti came along. Knowing that Shruti was the one who married Sameer, she takes over the marriage because Sameer thought it was her. Gayatri then gets pregnant and the truth comes out, both that Shruti is Sameer's real wife and that Gayatri is Parvati and Om's real daughter. Gayatri accepts her mother as her own and comes to live with her, she becomes the center of attention when Pallavi kidnaps Shruti and when Shruti is about to be returned she has her sister kidnapped for the second time, afraid of loosing her place in the mansion. To make up for her crimes she gives her baby to Shruti who is said to be unable to have anymore children. However, upon returning to the mansion and seeing her son again, Gayatri decides that she can't live without him and takes him back, leaving only a note behind that she took him.
