The accident happens at her home not on sets.

Oh god here also fires..so fed up fires accidents and hospitals in other serials. It's really disappointing that the makers are resorting to the same old tired plot devices to move the story forward. What has not happened to sonakshi? - from being kidnapped to being stuck in a deep freeze van to having a light almost fall on her on set, to the electricity sparks at the fashion show..gosh why must the ITV FL be tortured so much??

Actually in today’s precap they show Mahesh messing up with electric cables and then fire in sona’s room. Looks like mahesh is responsible
