OS#4 Tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai..

It has been a week..actually 10 days exactly...since Sonakshi had maintained a safe distance from Rohit. For her this distance was important, to keep her heart safe, her mind sane. When Pulkit insisted on interning with Rohit, she took him to another clinic only to find Pulkit behave like a spoiled brat after returning home. Her mother had judged the situation and flatly told Pulkit that if he wanted Rohit so bad, he needs to find his own way. She felt bad for her brother but at the same time was relieved at her mother’s stance. This constant contrary feelings that plagued her mind and hurt her heart weakened and strengthened her resolve to stay away..

Rohit knew that it had finally happened, she had not picked up his calls and now he didn’t call her anymore either. Maybe this was how it was supposed to be. His anger had simmered, but he wondered of the day his anger would be replaced with indifference. And that wonder worried him, he never wanted to be indifferent to her, he knew that a closed heart that does not beat is a heavy one and a heavy heart aches more than a broken one. He wants to be able to see her, to feel her no matter where she is. He finds himself staring at her pic on Page 3, he watches her show on mute on his phone. He doesn’t care for the show, it’s his Sonakshi he wants to see. And recently at a TV awards nite, when she received an award, he almost pressed call to yell at her for hugging the man who gave her the award. Whatever! Yes he loves her, and maybe she didn’t love him back. But for now, his anger is simmered by his love.

The phone rings and she is shocked to see his name and hesitantly she says

“Hello? Rohit?” ...He mocks “oh Achaa toh mai tumhare phone mei rehta hun lekin aur kahi nahi?” She rolls her eyes..it’s that mood of his..”kya matlab hai? Kuch hua hai kya?” He replies with his patent irritation “kyu main aise hi phone nahi kar sakta? “ she has no energy for this “pls batao kya baat hai?” He holds his phone tight, her relented tone exasperates him “Tumne toh Pulkit ko bhejke meri aukat dikha diya..after all, Tum kaun ho mere liye..right?? Hamare beech kya rishta hai?” She holds her head...shakes it..”Main tumhare paas nahi aana chahti thi..kyunki ...usse apne balbute pe internship Karna chahiye naaki kissi ke jan pehchaan se” ... He simmers “you are right...He is not worthy..voh layak nahi hai..tum please usse bata do ke yeh internship nahi mil sakta” and he presses end on his phone and flings it...pushes his hand over his forehead and she on the other end..is livid..how dare he...

She wraps up the shoot early that evening and rushes home. She yells at Pulkit to bring forward all of his grades and project reports and recommendations. She drives to his hospital and walks determined into his cabin. He looks up..she flashes the Pulkit’s file at him and yells at him “how dare you? Tumne without jaanj partal kiye kaise assume kar liya ki he is not worth it..na tum usse koyi interview li na project diya...aur buss aise hi decision le liya...tumhe kya haq hai?” He stands up and watches her take a breath...he walks toward her.. takes the files from her hand and puts them on his desk..walks towards his door and shuts it. She is panting a little and holds the desk to take a breath. He turns and walks to her while she leans on his desk.

“Haq..tum sahi kehti ho..lekin Tumne bhi toh vohi Kiya..bina soche..bina jaane ke mujhpe kya guzregi, Tumne Humei mauka nahi diya..hai na, was I not worth it?” He placed his hand on her neck below her ear and pulled her towards him...his mouth close to hers “Maine tumhe saare haq de diye they..yehi sochkar ki tujhpe hi toh mera haq hai..,lekin tumne iss haq ko kuchal diya...toh batao...kya farq hai..tummei aur mujh mei..??” She watched his eyes water..and her eyes did too..she held his face...”Rohit” she whispers ..holding him closer..and their foreheads meeting..”Rohit..please...mera haq mujhe vapas de do..mujhpe hi toh tumhara haq hai” he holds her even more close,,.shuts his eyes and brings his hands to her face..moves her to look at him and kisses her deeply...

And there they were..basking in that heartache...for each other...their journey that brought them to this point,..

Very nice and intense, lovely writing. Wishing this happens on the show once Rohit realises the depth of his feelings for Sona. Rifght now though he calls her Sona it lacks the intensity. Waiting for the same intensity to come in the show as well. Hope they take a cue from your writing. Please keep writing. Would like to see a jealous Rohit too 🙂
