Hello everyone, I have been watching this show for some time. Lately, I am imagining stories featuring Rohit and Sonakshi, specially, after watching the intense scene during the 5 minute break in the interrogation room.So here I am....if it is filled with fluff, don't blame me, blame them,you-know-who.

Rohit-Sonakshi SS – Against All Odds

Chapter 1

Sonakshi’s POV

“Meet me at our place after shoot, at 6pm. I have to talk to you, Urgent” the text said.

I am sure that he will end our arrangement, that thought sent a painful twinge in her heart. After that Mhatre’s fiasco, Sippy family got to know her role to save Pooja’s reputation and it made them appreciate her more. Rohit’s mom was already getting wedding magazines to plan the wedding. Rohit and she started spending more time which made them understand each other better. Then one day, suddenly, Raima was admitted in his hospital and this time her treatment was successful. Rohit started spending 24/7 in the hospital taking care of her. Their fake relationship drama was on halt, after a month, finally Rohit seems to get time to speak with her.

It’s better to end it now before she falls for him. You are already in love with him, her inner voice reminded her. She faced many difficulties in her life so she will move on from this, she told this to herself many times.

Rohit’s POV

After a long time, I am going to see her. He missed her so much but he got a chance to rectify his mistake and ease his gulit regards Raima; he took this second chance, treated her and was successful. In the process, he realized he was not in love with Raima anymore, he has moved on from her and his obvious gulit of making Raima bedridden made him not realize his feelings towards Sonakshi earlier. He, like an idiot, asked her to pretend as his girlfriend, now he will rectify his mistake and confess his feelings.

He has tiny hope that Sonakshi is also in love with him because whenever he mentioned Raima, Sonakshi became silent and she clearly said she can’t be friends with Raima. Her beauty made him speechless long before their friendship but her caring nature, loyalty and commitment both on personal and professional level made her inner beauty shine through, made him irrevocably fall in love with her. At first, he was confused with his feelings but Raima’s arrival cleared all the confusion and the longing he felt to be with Sonakshi surprised him. He told Raima that he has moved on and can’t be with her, Raima was okay with this and has decided to focus on herself for now. In hindsight, he should have realized Sonakshi’s feelings and his as well, he felt like the dumbest person in the world. Though he was lost in her memories, he felt her presence, there she was looking as beautiful as ever in pink kurti, he was greedily looking at her, and it felt like a life time that he didn’t see her.

“Hi Rohit, how is Raima? What do you want to talk?” she asked looking at him with her big honey brown eyes.

“Hi Sonakshi, how are you? Raima is fine, why so hurry, no pleasantries at all?” I asked her, thinking why she is in such a hurry.

“Rohit…she started saying but he couldn’t wait anymore

“I love you sonakshi, I want to marry you” he blurted out.

She was speechless for sometime and her eyes flashed dangerously, “Rohit, that’s enough. Is this a joke,the drama is enough. Now, Raima is back so we can break up and you can be with Raima. I am done with this charade”, she started walking away.

He held her hand and pulled her towards him in one jerky motion, looking into her eyes said, “I love you Sonakshi, no drama, no more lies, I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you”.

She looked away from him. He gently held her chin turning her face towards him, their lips are just a millimeter apart, if he move just a little bit, Rohit, focus, now is not the time, scolded himself.

“Say something, Sonakshi, how do you feel about me”? he urged her.

“What about Raima? You waited all these years for her, don’t you love her”? She started tentatively and suddenly jerked away from him and said with an edge in her voice.

“I care for Raima…”Rohit started saying,

“Why don’t you go back to Raima then Rohit, and leave me alone” she pushed past him.

Why does she always walk away,this time he pulled her hard and held her waist tightly and cupped her face with one hand, “I already told Raima that I love you. Raima was my past, you are my present and future. I have moved on, if I didn’t meet you, I don’t how it would have been but I met you, got to know you and fell in love with you. I want to spend my entire life with you, to laugh with you and cry with you. I want to grow old with you. Marry me Sonakshi”

After this long proposal, she didn’t say anything but her eyes were filled with tears and said “I can’t ”.

“Why? Don’t you love me? I can see that you love me so Why can’t you marry me? Rohit asked tightening his hold on her afraid, if he leaves her, she will disappear.

“You don’t respect my profession and I love my work, this will only create problems in the future. My mom won’t accept our relationship.Your Nishi bua don’t like me and …..”

He kept his fingers on her lips to stop her rant, “Shhhhh,what’s the real reason? You know that I respect you and your profession now as you are the one that taught me humility. I am a better person because of you. All these problems we can solve together, then why?

She opened her mouth to say something and then closed it; her lips were quivering with a suppressed emotion.

“You are scared. Are you scared of me Sonakshi? Why? This is me, Rohit. What are you hiding?”

“I……I did Raima’s accident four years ago”.

Sorry for the cliffhanger, i will try to upload tomorrow. This story might be 5-6 part story.

Chapter 2

“I…… I did Raima’s accident. I was intoxicated and I hit her car, got scared and left. Because of me she lost four years of her life, you lost your love on that night September 26th, that was me”

Honestly, I never expected this; this is both horrifying and shocking. Sonakshi turned away from me and her shoulders were shaking, she was crying softly.

This is it, that’s why she….. but this is not the complete truth. The Sonakshi I know, would never be drunk driving or hit someone and runaway, no, that’s not my girl. She is not a coward and she is the most compassionate person, this can't be the whole truth.

Her sobs cleared his head and he decided to never make the mistake of misunderstanding her or push her away from him, never ever.

I turned her and hugged and said I love you, I love you, I love you punctuating with kisses all over her face. Nothing changes my love for you. He wiped her tears and made her sit on the bench, the whole time she was looking at me with an unreadable expression.

“Now tell me everything that happened on that night. Why did you hit and run Raima? How do you know that was Raima? Afterall, it is four years. What’s been happening? Please trust me” I asked taking her hand in his and linking their fingers.

Sonakshi’s POV

I was sure that Rohit would leave me after hearing I did Raima’s accident. I didn’t think he would ask me why and how, this is the same person that accused me of Pooja’s defamation. Now, here he is asking me what happened.

Should I tell him? Will it have any effect on him? Will he love me after knowing the whole truth? He might think of her as a weak person but he deserves to know the truth. She can’t bear the thought of him thinking ill of her.

I took a deep breath and started the pain full past which she buried in her heart for a long time. “You know that Karan was my fiancée. Our relationship was really good at first; he understood my work and supported me. After we got engaged, he became controlling to the point of abuse.

The first time he hit me, I ended our relationship but he apologized for that and we were back together, though i was reluctant. I didn’t have many genuine friends because of my profession, I was scared of being alone and I was a weak person then to allow him to control me like that. After that he didn’t physically abuse me but verbally and emotionally he was cruel and a total jerk.

I was rising into stardom, he was pressurizing for physical relationship and marriage. One day, we went to a party where Karan drugged me and tried to sexually assault me, I somehow escaped. In my intoxicated state, I hit Raima’s car and didn’t stop as Karan was chasing me. I called ambulance for her somehow in my state and didn’t stop until I reached home.

The whole time I was talking, Rohit didn’t leave my hand, I felt sometimes they were tightening to the point of stopping blood circulation but I didn’t want to leave his hand. I didn’t look at him till I finished and then only looked into his eyes, which were full of anger and sadness.

How did you know, that was Raima you hit that day?

After that day I broke up with Karan and with the help of our show’s producer, I spoke with the police officer who was investigating the accident and revealed Karan’s role. The officer told me that the patient was admitted in Sippy hospital and recovered so I was not arrested. I was relieved that I didn’t kill anyone.

After meeting you, when you told me about Raima, I felt a sense of discomfort hearing the date and wanted to meet the person I hit four years ago. I met the police officer and got the information just one week back as it was a very old case.

Now you know everything, I am trying to gather enough strength to meet Raima and apologize to her. Whatever punishment she decides, I am ready for that.

There was absolute silence. Rohit seems lost in his thoughts and his silence was suffocating me.

“Rohit, what are you thinking?” I asked scared of his answer.

If I kill Karan with an untraceable poison, it would be better than hitting with a truck or employing a hitman, right? Less hassle and I have the expertise to pull it off. What do you think?

I was dumb folded, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry because his expression was absolutely serious, instead I hugged him tight and did not let go.

This is it guys, I am making this story two shot and today's update is the last part. If I get any more ideas, i will definitely write. For now, i don't want to promise to write more and disappoint. Thank you for your encouragement.
