Chachi-sa responds by threatening to leave the house (RP, why would that be a problem?) She says that she's going back to her maayka (hope she doesn't have any Poonam like Bhabis there 😆) and asks Vikrant to join her. Vikrant refuses, and tells her that she's threatening to break up the family just for her own ego, and that he won't support her. Chachi-sa is shocked @ this mutiny. He then goes up to Kabir and assures him that they all support him, and not to talk about leaving the haveli. He says he'll accompany Kabir wherever he goes (Ankit seems to have forgotten that he's no longer playing Lakshman-ji 😆) He says that even though he isn't his bro by blood, and Kabir gives him a mini bhashan about rishtas being formed in the heart. But the question here is about the insult to a woman, which can only be rectified by chachi-sa. Chachi-sa is shocked, as usual.
Vikrant then begs chachi-sa to relent, and she is pissed @ being abandoned by him, and decides to leave alone. RP asks her what sort of a mom is she and upbraids her. He asks her to give it a bit more time, and that they'll discuss it some more. Chachi leaves. Kabir is about to step out again, and RP asks him where he is headed. Kabir tells him to a place where egos run amuck aren't indulged any further. RP stops him, and tells him that if he leaves, he'll die (RP, you seemed to have been managing pretty well the months before Kabir joined you) He tells him that he has asked chachi to take time to think it over, and asks Kabir to give her that at least. Vikrant backs him up on this one. Sumer asks him what's he decided? RP tells him that he needs Kabir, and since Kabir wants Jyoti, they'll just have to accept her.
In Jyoti's house, Reshmi goes up to her and tells her that until she is united w/ Kabir, she should stop thinking about Reshmi (uh-oh, I smell a Jyoti bhashan coming) Jyoti asks her to sleep, and they'll resume the struggle tomorrow. Reshmi finally snaps, and yells @ Jyoti, asking her which struggle is she talking about 👏 She is always going to think about others, but totally abandon Kabir!!! This draws everyone else into the room.
Dadi tells Jyoti that they were discussing the same thing - she's fighting everyone else's battles and winning them to, but determined to lose her own battle. Jyoti protests, but Padma seats Jyoti down and tells her that had Kabir not come and told her what's on his mind, she'd never have realized how much he's hurting. She's brought happiness to others, but when Kabir comes, she denies herself that happiness, and just concedes? Jyoti responds that it's b'cos she's not fighting this battle (Phew, that was close - Jyoti didn't say much)
Kabir is painting a picture of Jyoti, and Vikrant joins him, and praises his bhabi. Kabir is happy that Vikrant called her his bhabi, and offers him anything he wants (uh-oh!!! Here's Vikrant's chance to get Kabir's support against Reshmi) Vikrant tells him that whatever he wants, he'll ask Jyoti bhabi.
RP joins them, and seeing the painting, sarcastically remarks that even god has to bend to such love. He tells them that he talked to chachi, and she agreed. Kabir doesn't respond, and RP asks him why is he looking so sucpicious? They all go in, and RP asks chachi to tell Kabir the good news. Chachi tells him that it's true that she didn't want a divorcee in the house, as it would have upset the peace, and perhaps his mom would have done the same. Kabir tells her that his mom would first have looked to his happiness, since she always gave first priority to people. She would never have sacrificed his happiness for the glamour of the house. Chachi tells him that she's lost, and his bapu-sa has shown her the light, and she doesn't want to lose her sons (a few minutes ago, you were willing to leave alone). RP says he too will go, and asks Kabir to inform Jyoti. Kabir is happy
Next morning, Reshmi is all packed up and ready to leave. Jyoti asks where, and Reshmi says anywhere. Jyoti asks why, and Reshmi asks what right does she have to demand this - just b'cos she called her didi twice out of respect, she's started bossing over him (well, Reshmi, better late than never 😆) She says that she's been listening to her so far, but if Jyoti respects her, she too has to listen to her 👏 Jyoti begs Padma, who's just come in, to stop her, but this time, Padma sides w/ Reshmi 😆 She tells Jyoti that Reshmi has the same right to take her own decisions and lead her life like Jyoti does. Jyoti is upset @ them pressurizing her, and Padma tells her that it's b'cos she's punishing herself needlessly. She asks Jyoti what decision has she arrived @?
Vikrant urges Kabir to call, saying that he too wants to talk. Bhavri comes in, dancing that devrani is coming, and wants to talk, so she and Vikrant have a mini Lakshman-Urmila battle over it 😆 On Jyoti's end, the battle is b/w Jyoti & Reshmi, when the phone rings, and Reshmi picks it up. Hearing Kabir, she hands it to Jyoti and insists that she talk to him.
Kabir tells Jyoti that his family is coming down there to ask for her hand. Jyoti is stunned, but Vikrant grabs the phone from Kabir, and starts talking to her. He introduces himself as Harmookhi-ji's son, apologizes to Jyoti for his mom's behavior, and describes to her how Kabir has praised her and is all the time painting her picture, and that seeing the pic, he resolved that only Jyoti bhabi would be acceptable as bhabi. Jyoti is happy to hear him, but doesn't seem to recall that he's the guy she threatened a few days ago on Reshmi. Asha then grabs the phone from Vikrant (it was a rare moment that Asha was so happy & assertive) and introduces herself, and asked whether Kabir told Jyoti about her, while Kabir fidgets nervously 😆 Asha then tells Jyoti that devar-sa keeps her picture in his mind all the time, and asks her to fill up her life. Bhavri then takes the phone, and tells Jyoti that she's very excited that she's coming, and starts singing. Vikrant grabs the phone from her, and gives it back to Kabir. Kabir asks her whether she'll say anything, and Jyoti tells him that she'll wait for him. Everyone is excited - Kabir, Poonam, Dadi, Padma, Reshmi & Deepu. Deepu congratulates Reshmi on her acting, and the buck passing starts, and ends w/ Poonam 😆
Kabir tries telling chachi about what to take, but chachi tells him that she has met them, and knows what to say to them. RP asks them to all get ready. Vikrant too wants to go, and chachi is not happy about it, but RP accepts. Vikrant offers Kabir to give Jyoti any gift he wishes, but Kabir tells him that she has a great gift in him as a devar. At Jyoti's place, Sushma is back (will this be her last appearance, just as godh bharai was Sudha's last appearance?) and Reshmi asks Jyoti what gift she wants? Jyoti says that she wants Reshmi to get her hubby back - that would be the greatest gift. At Kabir's place, the entire family goes to the puja room to take the blessing before leaving the place for Jyoti's place.
Given how supportive Vikrant has been of Kabir in such a critical moment, I can see Kabir having problems taking Reshmi's side over his. Which of course should unleash a competing flood of bhashans b/w Jyoti & Kabir 🤢
Today is Thursday, and the proposal from RP has just come - Sushma's godh bharai had more prep time than this. Hopefully, the good people from PKCM can make this wedding a success, since it seems to be out of the league of the remnants of Jyoti's cast 😆 Speaking of which, Sushma re-appeared today, but I suspect that next week will probably be the last we see of the Sharmas. I guess Brij is baby-sitting
