Just in order to make life easier for Neelam & family, Jyoti chooses to sign false documents stating that she lived separately from Pankaj for >1 year, even though she is pregnant. Not once did she think of the repercussions on her baby's future 👎🏼😡
The show was going well on the Sushma track, w/ her resuming studies, planning to make a major sacrifice by putting her baby up for adoption, and then getting a job. This whole track was royally f🤬ked up by these stupid CV's reforming Brij: instead, they could have shown him getting TB, dying and letting the world know that justice had been served. Despite the fact that Sudha was always unhappy @ home, the last few episodes that they showed her, they showed her happy only when she was visiting her home, and that too, Jyoti not necessarily being there. This is really unrealistic. If you are a girl who have been abused in your maayka by step-mom & step-bro, and finally managed to get married to the one guy on earth who cares for you, why would your only happy moments be when you are @ that maayka, rather than when you are w/ him? Actually, I like the track where everybody else who was uncomfortable w/ CM have left the house, and the only ones left are CM, Neelam, Pankaj and now Roshni.
I hated Jyoti sacrificing her participation in Deepu's wedding, hurting everyone else in the process. - I hate the way Jyoti treats Kabir, while grovelling to Padma and more ridiculously, Deepu. The neeche kaTo, upar chaTo practice.
But you are right - the way the hospitals have been shown, and the way the medical events have taken place - hubby being asked to pick mom or baby, being allowed in the operation theater w/o disinfecting, the mom being told the baby is dead, but not being given the body, and not even asking for it, and worst of all, the docs being corrupt enough to be bought off in the way described - all of it reflects poorly on the show.
All claims of this show being realistic were long gone when Jyoti went after Sushma despite her being hated, and jeopardizing her marriage in the process. Sudha was the one person I liked (along w/ Uday & Pratik) but they stopped showing her love life after she got married, which was a real put down. I would have liked there to have been an episode where Uday & Sudha left Udaipur for another city for good, while MN&G either went w/ them, or moved out of that house to, say, move in to wherever Pratik lives.
One last thing - in Friday's episode, they showed Pankaj talking to a business associate. I thought Pankaj was a professor - since when does he manage the family business - I thought Bhairavi did it. At any rate, since he now does, it's the right context in which to explain sometime that the rest of the family is gone!
