Neelam rips up the divorce papers into shreds and storms out of there. Pankaj yells after her, but she goes upstairs into her/his(?😆) room, and as Pankaj is about to follow her, she slams the door right in his face 😆🤣 Pankaj opens it and demands to know how she dared slam the door of his room on his face? (I'm going to run out of smileys to celebrate!) Neelam tells him that he's forgetting that this is her room as well, and that she's still his wife! 😆 Pankaj mocks her, and demands to know how she dared think that after all she did, he'd continue to accept her as his wife, or shelter her in that house? Neelam tells him he has to, since she is not Jyoti, who they united to kick out of that house, and she quietly left. Pankaj tells her that Jyoti was removed merely on suspicion of wrong doing, whereas Neelam had been caught red handed! He asks her what's left to tell a characterless woman like her (I like this - any woman who's ever been w/ Pankaj is characterless. Yep, I can agree to this definition) Neelam tells him that she told him yesterday, but will remind him again - she didn't ruin him, he ruined her life. She challenges him to ask himself whether he had fulfilled the responsibilities of a husband? And he dares call her characterless? In reality, he's the one w/o any character! 🤣🤣 She repeats that she's not Jyoti, who'll meekly obey him when he asks her to leave 😆🤣 She will stay put right there, in that room, and with him! 😆 And she'll do whatever she feels like 🥳 She'll see what he does - b'cos she too has a lot to say, and that if he wants a divorce, she won't grant it that easily! If he tries to force a divorce, she too knows the law! She tells him that he has a lot of money & power, so to ask himself what he lacked for which Jyoti left him for another person! 🥳 She challenges him to go and find out who Jyoti is w/ and why is she so happy?
Poonam is serving something she's made, and Dadi praises it profusely, and says Jyoti will like it a lot. She mentions that Jyoti came home late and left early. Poonam mentions that Jyoti has started taking care of Kabir-ji a lot. All look @ her, and Poonam clarifies that she is very concerned about Jyoti's well being, and doesn't like people gossiping about her. She asks them whether they had thought about what she had discussed - another marriage for Jyoti? She points out that while Jyoti may have thought of her own good and bad, she's not likely to discuss it w/ them. So it's up to them to do something. Dadi agrees, but says that she's going to give birth, and Pankaj too is alive, but Poonam tells her that Pankaj has moved ahead in life, and that they probably don't know that people have started pointing fingers @ Sandeep. At the jagrat, they were saying that he has pinned Jyoti home, and that nobody doesn't seem to care about the well being of his sister. Dadi tells her that there is the problem of Jyoti's divorce, but Poonam tells her that these days, divorce, kids don't matter as much. She tells her that her mom's friend in Mumbai has been re-married even though she has a 6 year old kid. She's very happy nowadays. Poonam asks Dadi whether Jyoti too doesn't deserve such a chance? Dadi says that Poonam is right, but that Jyoti too needs a guy who understands her. Poonam asks her not to worry about that, since Jyoti didi is no good that on seeing her, nobody will refuse (in that case, Poonam, why don't you like her?) Padma wonders whether Jyoti will agree? Poonam tells her that they need to take the first step, and then and only then will Jyoti agree to talk to anyone. And only when she has a proposal in front of her that she will consider it. If they were to talk to her first, she'd forbid it. All of them are left thinking, and Poonam thinks to herself that chachi's plan is working - now they're thinking about it, and tomorrow, they'll accept it as well. And very soon, Jyoti-didi's bidai will be underway.
At Kabir's place, Kabir & Amit are in his room, and Amit tells him to take care of himself, since he's still not fully fit. He's going to be scolded (by Jyoti). Kabir tells him that if he's scared of being scolded, Amit can cave, but this is no way to live. Amit comments on how neat and clean and responsible he seems, and tells him that love has changed him, and probably under the influence of bhabi 😲 Kabir asks 'bhabi'? and Amit says that in his mind, he's accepted her as his bhabi (what an endorsement! 😆) Amit admits that it was he who was urging against this some days back, but after seeing the effect of Jyoti on him, he understood that love trumped it all. He urges Kabir to propose again, telling him that when she's caring for him so much, she undoubtedly loves him as well. She just can't say it. He tells him to think about it. Amit then takes his leave as he's headed for work.
The bell rings, and Amit thinks it's Jyoti. It's actually Pankaj 🤢 Kabir welcomes him, as Amit leaves, and asks him why he's come all of a sudden? Pankaj tells him that everything in life is sudden and unknown (Such a contrast b/w these 2 - Kabir is an absolute bindaas guy, while Pankaj is a philosopher on steroids) He asks Kabir how he is, and Kabir tells him that he's fine. Kabir offers him water, but Pankaj tells him that he might have gone for tea, but doesn't want to bother him. He asks him that he's alone today? Kabir tells him that Pankaj is there, and until then, Amit was. Pankaj tells him that it's good that he has friends around him all the time (this is really a boring conversation - no wonder Neelam feels the need to have Gautam as a spare😆)
Pankaj asks Kabir whether his special friend Jyoti wasn't there? Just then, Jyoti arrives, and Kabir, while getting ready to answer, notices her and tells Pankaj that he mentioned her, and there she is. Jyoti is not happy to see him there. Kabir tells Jyoti that Pankaj came to inquire about his health - very sweet of him (he came yesterday as well - so now he's going to come often, and do what? Just make Jyoti feel uncomfortable?) Pankaj tells Kabir that since his friend has arrived, she'll take care of him (who does Pankaj think Jyoti is - his maid, who he assigns to Kabir's care? 😡) Kabir offers him tea, and have Jyoti make it 🤢🤣 and Jyoti offers to make it, but Pankaj declines, and says he'd do it on another occasion. He says that he'll call his driver, since it's an unknown path, and inconvenient to navigate. Kabir tells him that he'll escort him out, but Pankaj tells him that he needs to rest. Kabir asks Jyoti to escort him out, and Jyoti asks him to come w/ her. Pankaj thanks her, and tells her that this is the problem that blind people have in unknown surroundings - they are afraid of falling. He tells her that those who can see, all places look equally familiar. Kabir looks embarrassed @ his comments, as Pankaj tells him to take care. Jyoti takes Pankaj and leads him to the car. He asks Jyoti how she is. Jyoti snaps @ him and asks him whether he came here to find out about her? (Finally, Jyoti snaps @ him, and gives him a treatment like Neelam, instead of trying to explain anything to him. Not a moment too soon) Jyoti then asks him what is wrong w/ him, and Pankaj reassures her that he's perfectly fine, and that at this point, nothing can happen to him, and that nobody can hurt him, since he has no attachments left. He's closed all doors to his heart (why are you telling her this?) Saying this, he gets into the car and leaves.
Kabir has been viewing all this from his window, and quickly gets back to his bed and sits down pretending to read by the time Jyoti's back. She asks him what he wants for breakfast. He tells her that Pankaj is a nice person, and came to see him. Jyoti asks him why not ask the question he wants to ask - as a friend, he should have that much freedom? Pankaj is now for her just a memory from the past. He's moved ahead in life, and she too is trying to. He just came to see Kabir, b'cos Kabir saved his life (Jyoti, how about being honest here - Pankaj came to spy on you, and you know it, and confronted him on it. As a friend, shouldn't you tell him this much?)
Finally, Bhairavi returns!!! She's sitting in the living room w/ Pankaj, and telling him that there are always disagreements b/w husbands & wives (Bhairavi, do you recall disagreements b/w Pankaj & Jyoti?) She tells him that that doesn't mean he calls an advocate home and sign divorce papers (no, that you only do when you have no disagreements, but are just pressurized by your CM to do that) Pankaj asks her whether she even knows what's happened, and Bhairavi angrily tells him that she knows everything (somehow, I can't figure out who I'm w/ here - Bhairavi or Pankaj?) She tells him that Neelam told her everything, and she wants him to... Pankaj protests that despite knowing everything, she wants him to forget this? Bhairavi tells him that if he doesn't, he'll be miserable for the rest of his life. She tells him that she's always wanted his well being, Jyoti was not right for him and that's why she persuaded Neelam to marry him. She tells him that Neelam is a nice girl - despite him being divorced, she agreed to marry him (that's not the half of it, choti-ma!) Neelam accepted him as he was (so Bhairavi is blind, or lacks the 'ehsas' that Neelam is not blind to Pankaj's blindness) He too should try to accomodate her. Pankaj asks choti ma what exactly did Neelam tell her, and Bhairavi tells her that regardless of what she told her, she can see Pankaj right now how he is. She demands that he come out of his dark room and support her. She's trying to explain to him that it takes 2 to make a marriage work, and not to expect that everytime, Neelam will be the one sacrificing. She then gets up and leaves, and Pankaj wonders what it was that Neelam told CM? (Actually, Pankaj, if only you knew CM's stake in this marriage - that you've been pimped so that Minal stays in Jaipur) He is shocked that she is ready to believe Neelam, but not him?
In the Sharma home, the parents of a prospective dulha for Jyoti are visiting, presumably @ the behest of Poonam. The mom asks Padma where is her second daughter, and she tells her that she is very happy, and has gone to the US w/ her hubby on travel (So Suday's out of this show? 😔😭 How does Padma know - nobody from the Vashists have told them, have they?) The guests praise the house, and KK tells them that it was Jyoti who picked all the colors and designs.
Just then, Jyoti & Kabir arrive. KK welcomes them, and asks Kabir to sit, and how he is. He introduces them to the prospects, and Padma introduces Jyoti to the Tripathis. They ask about Kabir, and KK tells them that he's a very close friend of theirs, almost like family. Mr Tripathi asks Jyoti what she does, and she tells him that for the time being, nothing, she's just resting. She used to work. Mrs Tripathi says that forget work, the girl ought to know how to cook, and Jyoti looks @ her strangely. Mrs Tripathi tells her that she must be knowing all the housework, and Jyoti looks @ her strangely (actually, Jyoti, in the Vashist house, that's what you did, although you had a fleet of servants to order around) Padma praises Jyoti's cooking, and tells them to eat something she's cooked. She then tells Jyoti to make khas ka sharbat, and then joins her in the kitchen. Jyoti asks her who these people are, who are asking such strange questions? Are they her dad's friends or from Padma's maayka? Padma, instead of answering, tries to fix her hair. She then leaves, asking her to get the sharbat.
In the living room, Mr Tripathi tells them that they like Jyoti, and will introduce her to their son, and that if they agree, fix up a marriage date next month. Poonam is really excited to hear this, while Jyoti & Kabir are both shocked!
Everytime I think that Neelam can't excel herself, she excels herself. After ripping up her divorce papers, she goes on into Pankaj's room and slams the door shut right on his face 🤣🤣 It doesn't get any better than this! When Pankaj storms in, Neelam tells him exactly what we've all been waiting to hear - that she's not going to quietly leave like Jyoti, and challenges him to use all his fortunes against her in a court 🤣🤣
Even better was later - Pankaj not even getting support from Bhairavi! When he tries to make his case, she just tells him that she's heard everything from Neelam, and comes down on him like a ton of bricks. I don't know who exactly to support here - Pankaj, or Bhairavi who manipulated things so that they arrived @ this point. But Pankaj finally gets an ehsas that Bhairavi ain't so much on his side the way she pretends to be.
So what does our loser do? Goes over to Kabir, and inquires about his friend. When Jyoti appears, he tells her to take care of Kabir, as though she's still his wife. I loved the way Jyoti snapped @ him when he asked her how she was. Incidentally, Pankaj, if you are now above all attachments (which is a good state to be in), why are you visiting your ex-wife's friend?
I loved Amit referring to Jyoti as 'bhabi' 😆 - real sweet. Wonder whether he'll dare say it to her face?
I liked Poonam's plan, but the last scene shot - Poonam & the Sharmas should have discussed this w/ Jyoti before bringing in some prospect out of the blue: Jyoti might then have had an opportunity to tell them that she already has a standing offer from Kabir. I fear that Kabir will think that Jyoti's telling him one thing - that she's not prepared to think of another relationship - and her parents another, whereby they start hunting for her rishtas. And for Padma, what a contrast - when the serial started, she was making her mangalik, and now, she's trying to deck Jyoti up in the kitchen w/o telling her anything.
Also, major news for Suday fans, including me - Sudha & Uday are now travelling in the US!!! Hopefully, it means a break, rather than a final exit from the show. I know we'll miss them here, but good for them - the only time we ever saw them was Sudha being Bhairavi's naukrani or Uday running errands for Pankaj - organizing his wedding dance troupe, his b'day party, etc. It's not that they ever had a life of their own. Now that they're finally out of that hellhole, they should maybe go to places like Vegas, Sea World, Grand Canyon, Malibu and Hawaii. Once they come back, they should move out of that home, Uday should get a new job and they should start a family, w/o trying it to Bhairavi.
Finally, any comments on Suday's exit from the show should go here, and any tributes to Alok & Sriti and wishes for their future careers here
