I loved your question, Anu, someone should indeed ask Jyoti that. And when the answer is no, then the logical follow-up to that should be - then you're giving women advice that you think would wreck their marriages, or else, you'd be doing exactly what you advocate others do.

I'll bet that the only context in which that column comes up next time will be an occasion when & where Jyoti gets into trouble.

Oh, Vik, don't be surprised if Sudha & Uday forget about this decision of theirs not to have any kids, and one fine day, Sudha gives Uday the good news. 😳

The creative heads are seriously suffering from severe amnesia. Jyoti became popular for its realistic approach to its storyline which now seem to have taken a path of sheer nonsense.

I don't know why they are hastening to make Brij an angel over night? If I remember three episodes ego he was saying choti ma that money is his family. And in those three episodes he had TB which reached to an advanced level that he felt so helpless that he felt he needs a family, and then he went through social disgrace changing his evil soul to a soul of an angel. I am not saying that people don't change but a person like him needs go through a lot to have a drastic change in his personality like this. Sadly the show isn't giving him the time to suffer. Are they trying to wrap up the show? I saw Kabir praying to lord Krishna to bring happiness in his life…….this dostana is surely creeping up to an uncomfortable level.

Jyoti settled with couple of good jobs and the company of Kabir ji, the story would have flowed well if they had shifted to Pankaj and Neelam's catastrophic marital life /showing Shudha getting stronger in the house and taunting Choti ma on a daily basis (reminding her that Nelaam is everything she accused Jyoti of/ choti ma didn't do this because she believed Jyoti was wrong she did this because she didn't like people in Vashisht house giving Jyoti any more importance than she herself gets and that's the reason she hated her and got rid of her eventually ruining three lives and two of them happens to be from the vashist family such as pankaj and Joyti's unborn baby.)/ Brij taking choti ma to a melt down point with his black mailing / panchi coming back in Deepu's life with new job and lesson to teach Poonam etc.

Yeah, this would have been a terrific track. What could have happened would have been Uday discovering money missing from the bank a/c, and Sudha discovering that Brij was blackmailing Bhairavi. She'd overhear such a conversation and figure out the one thing that made Bhairavi fearful, and confront her and threaten to expose her if she doesn't do exactly what Sudha wants in that house, wrt Uday & everyone else, all this while taking Uday into confidence. Like she could have demanded the right to adapt Jyoti's baby, but still keep it in full contact w/ Jyoti. Or better still, expose this to MN&G. MN&G kick Bhairavi out and have Sudha supercede Neelam as the chief bahu: Pankaj loses his rights to succession.

Also, re: Panchi, what I'd have done would have been to have Poonam's bro one day return and make an entry into the serial, and married to Panchi. This can introduce a new awkwardness, to which Deepu adjusts, while it also ends Poonam's gravy train, since her parents will now want to pamper Panchi and their son. Also, have Deepu find a job w/ that associate of his FIL, and end that track. Or even have him work for Panchi's dad, who'd be relieved that Deepu & Panchi are separated by the Trivedi bro & sis.

1. Initially, before she ever met Jyoti, Bhairavi was actually quite a lovable character, particularly the way she encouraged Uday to seek out his love. Yet, for Jyoti, it seemed to be disdain @ first sight, and that disdained outweighed whatever admiration she had of Sudha. Also, her initial impression of Sudha was positive, but later, when Uday actually wanted Sudha, Bhairavi moved heaven & earth to try and stop it, before failing.
2. Deepu knew how much Sushma hated Jyoti, yet approached her to get her to intervene against Brij.
3. When Sudha was unmarried, her life was a living hell, thanks to Padma, and initially, Dadi & Deepu as well. But today, she seems to be happy only when she's @ her maayka, and rarely seen happy in her sasural. Granted that Bhairavi is a big reason, but aside from that, they never show any loving Suday moments
4. The one incident where Jyoti was absent from Bhai-duj due to Brij's abuse of Sushma was the only incident where Neelam had justification for feeling slighted, and yet, since then, she became Jyoti's other enemy in that house. But Pratik not only ignored this, but also welcomed Sudha as his bhabi when she entered. Incidentally, where is Pratik - miss him!!!
5. When Sudha was newly married, and Kesav-ji visited them, he initially praised Sudha as being very worthy, and only turned against her due to her Devika disco incident. Yet, later, he told Bhairavi that the reason he had turned out Minal was that Neelam's own future was screwed, and more recently, before Pankaj's wedding, when he visited, he refused to greet Sudha and simply insulted her. Obviously, the CV's had forgotten his praise
   
6. The day Jyoti confessed to Pankaj, she had received Rs 10 lakh from him as security for herself. It was an anniversary gift. However, after she got kicked out, this was forgotten - Jyoti never returned it to Pankaj, nor did she use it when she was busy borrowing money left, right & center
7. Only a few days ago, one of Mahesh-ji's business associates wanted Deepu to join their construction company, which had a lot of new projects, which Deepu declined. Have those vacancies so quickly gotten filled that when Deepu is fired, he can't revisit it? Had it been me, the first place I would have looked would have been recent offers.
   
8. Neelam's family which was there @ Uday's engagement seemed to be from a rural superstitious background, whereas her current family seems to be local. What's more - since her marriage, Kesav-ji & Minal are there @ all major family functions - Pankaj's wedding, his b'day... Have the CV's forgotten that Kesav-ji lives in Jaipur?
   
9. Jyoti, while getting all her all to frequent flashbacks of Pankaj, seems to have forgotten how life in that house was a nightmare due to the synergistic combination of problems that Sushma & Sudha had, coupled w/ the problem that Bhairavi had of her always attending to them
   
10. Brij now seems to have forgotten Bhairavi and is in his full repentance mode, but has forgotten that even before Sushma, Jyoti too loved him, and had he simply respected her desires to move in only after marriage, and not cheated on her, she could have been his. Even w/o it, had he never cheated on Sushma, he could have had Jyoti, and spared her all the torture she got from Bhairavi. Plus Sushma's life would not have been screwed.
