Okay jalal and my birthday month has turned out to be lucky! An advance diwali gift from the author!!smiley27smiley42

Thank you so much for not giving up on this story that you and us both have invested so much heart in!smiley31

To the chapter then...smiley9

Samyu is just one of us only devoid of all the details that we get thanks to the author.smiley36

My girl has to wait for her unreliable (lovingly) friend to share them.smiley2

Both jalal and Jodha (and us obviously) getting the glimpse of their married lifesmiley42

What with jalal's towel clad form and Jodha attired in saree and their sizzling chemistrysmiley43smiley27

Jodha is really hard on herself. The trauma is so fresh for her and its after effects are only normal. Society doesn't help either with blaming the victims by calling them unlucky etc.

"They’ll look out for you because - you’re mine. And that makes you one of their own.”smiley42

Ah love how logical, empathetic, considerate and open about his feelings jalal is being here. And also what a Dreamboatsmiley42

Insecure people when they think of themselves as a burden or judging themselves lose the ability to see how they are assuming worst of others as well even when they have no intention to do so. This feels so realistic.

Jodha has never blamed or judged jalal for any perceived liberties because she has such high opinion of him and because she thinks she is his and he has the right (as he said as well) but my girl doesn't extend the same courtesy to herself.

There are lot of factors in this obviously and I feel like like I'm going on a tangent but like I said everything about her insecurities and behaviour is so realistic.

And to be honest she isn't wrong because many parents and many men will think and assume exactly what she said. She knows what society thinks and has first hand harrowing experience after what happened to her family.

Except the fact that jalal is not that man.

I think Jodha really needed to know how long jalal has had these feelings for her and how intense and deep they are. Since that will surely help and probably add to her insecurity of not deserving him and not loving him the same but oh well it's an ongoing journey.

Jodha thinks the world of him and rightly so but this chapter reminds me how strong Jodha truly is. Despite going through the tragedies that she did, not only is she standing strong, she is also fighting her crushing trauma and insecurities to be with him.smiley27

While she thinks she hasn't had feelings for him that long but I think she did probably not as strong but once she was in, she was all in.

When he fell first but she fell harder ekdum.smiley2

Also kudos to jalal for providing a safe space for Jodha to explore her new feelings and her passionate and in love avtaar that is making itself known to her as well as him. He is so stable in terms of his presence and love him giving her grace when she is going through it.

Many things are happening. The plot is moving in this chapter. I'm very afraid and bracing myself.smiley19

Ah so Jodha has to go back home and will miss the Pooja and their first public appearance together.smiley28

"People considered me lucky at one point."

A single line saying so much and from here to

"On second thought, I think I still am lucky."

Here

What a journey!!

Absolutely wonderful update!! The way you write evokes such soulful feelings in people! I truly hope you finish this story even with irregular updates since like I said you have also invested so much of your time and heart in this story. Thank you once again smiley27smiley31

>> It's important for Jalal to say this, because Jodha is worried about being judged. She, limited by her insecurities, fails to see the bigger picture. That the people she's worrying about are looking at her through Jalal's eyes. It really doesn't matter to them who she is, or what she is as long as Jalal endorses her.

>> Thank you for saying this loud. That's the core essence of this update and if its lost on the readers, Jodha's behavior feels unnecessarily scrupulous.

>> It's the importance of first impressions that are drilled into middle-class upbringing that Jodha reflects here. That too, its Jalal's parents. She obviously holds their approval in high regard and to think that her image will be tarnished even before they come to know of her, that's night mari-sh. I'm in love with your line - Except the fact that jalal is not that man.smiley27

I think Jodha really needed to know how long jalal has had these feelings for her and how intense and deep they are. Since that will surely help and probably add to her insecurity of not deserving him and not loving him the same but oh well it's an ongoing journey.

>> Jalal's revelation comes from his understanding of her state. Her anguish for taking liberties is unjust and its important he made her see the difference in their situations. He had an early start to his advantage. He had no option than to discipline himself because she is totally oblivious to his feelings. It's not like she knew but she didn't reciprocate. Anyway, that's not the case for her. By the time she came around, he's already into her. Like he said, she had no need to deprive herself of anything - the freedom to express or to touch. She really need to stop being harsh on her and for that he had to speak the truth.

But again, his revelation apparently pushed her into a different tangent - the deserving part of it. And for the continuation plot I've in mind, this 'deserving' or rather 'undeserving' feeling is a significant undercurrent. Hope the readers will be with me then too.

Jodha thinks the world of him and rightly so but this chapter reminds me how strong Jodha truly is. Despite going through the tragedies that she did, not only is she standing strong, she is also fighting her crushing trauma and insecurities to be with him.smiley27

>> People brought up in harsh circumstances or have dealt with tragedies, usually turn out into stronger, resilient individuals. Jodha is still fresh in this battle, so we see a mix of both in her - resilient at times and insecure at times.

While she thinks she hasn't had feelings for him that long but I think she did probably not as strong but once she was in, she was all in.

When he fell first but she fell harder ekdum.smiley2

>> Aww... love your oneliners.smiley41

Also kudos to jalal for providing a safe space for Jodha to explore her new feelings and her passionate and in love avtaar that is making itself known to her as well as him. He is so stable in terms of his presence and love him giving her grace when she is going through it.

What a journey!!

>> The para I highlighted in blue above is what drives her thinking from purple line1 to purple line 2. She could've gotten anyone or couldn't have found anyone too... but fate bringing her to Bangalore and to Jalal to help her find her footing back in love and life... that's what makes her believe she's still lucky. That's what she means too, when she says 'I'm leaving from here with you in my kitty.'

Absolutely wonderful update!! The way you write evokes such soulful feelings in people! I truly hope you finish this story even with irregular updates since like I said you have also invested so much of your time and heart in this story. Thank you once again smiley27smiley31

I truly cherished reading these thoughts of yours. You echoed what I wished for all readers to resonate with in this chapter. You were not only analytical but were beautifully expressive of it too. Thanks for taking time and dropping by. Would love to keep in touchsmiley31

I have forgotten how to quote the entire message so I have no option but to copy pastesmiley36smiley44

I'm not sure we have interacted before this, pardon my memory, but a big hi and hearty welcome to you Priyadarshini. smiley31

Yes we have interacted before jhanu di though not very often. I'm Akanksha by the way.

Are you an old member with renewed id?

Yes yes I changed my id though not recently.

That the people she's worrying about are looking at her through Jalal's eyes. It really doesn't matter to them who she is or what she is as long as Jalal endorses her.

This sounds so nice since it takes the pressure off of her to impress them.how cool of him as usual smiley16smiley42

Thank you for saying this loud. That's the core essence of this update and if its lost on the readers, Jodha's behavior feels unnecessarily scrupulous.

I'm glad the author's intent has reached me. I really related with this part and it touched my heart.smiley27

It's the importance of first impressions that are drilled into middle-class upbringing that Jodha reflects here. That That too, its Jalal's parents. She obviously holds their approval in high regard and to think that her image will be tarnished even before they come to know of her, that's night mari-sh.

One more observation, this is giving the feels of coming of an age story since Jodha is obviously going through different changes and is starting a new phase of life. So the preconceived idea of her life and values are clashing with the new changes being introduced in her life. Gotta shed the old skin and all that

I'm in love with your line - Except the fact that jalal is not that man.smiley27

I'm glad the author is impressedsmiley9smiley43

But again, his revelation apparently pushed her into a different tangent - the deserving part of it. And for the continuation plot I've in mind, this 'deserving' or rather 'undeserving' feeling is a significant undercurrent. Hope the readers will be with me then too.

Safe to say readers are excited about all the interesting tidbits smiley9

I truly cherished reading these thoughts of yours. You echoed what I wished for all readers to resonate with in this chapter. You were not only analytical but were beautifully expressive of it too. Thanks for taking time and dropping by. Would love to keep in touchsmiley31

I'm glad I got what you wanted to convey since I was afraid I was talking about one specific point a lot. Thank you once again for heartwarming update smiley31
