Good evening, B&Bs!😃
Watched the movie,Mahanati.A must watch movie it is. Loved it. Got to know about the struggles and generosity of Savithri garu. I only knew she was an amazing actress and that she died bcoz of alcohol addiction. Nothing more about her personal life did I know earlier.
An excellent actress who worked in about 300 movies, a selfless person and a philanthropist. My respect for her has multiplied. Even when she was in neck deep financial crisis, she helped people around her who were in no way related to her. And her husband, friends, relatives, employee whom she trusted, betrayed her.
Director has done a brilliant job!⭐️ Not an easy feat to make a movie on someone like Savithri, covering all the aspects of her life. And the performance by Keerthy Suresh, who played the role of Savithri is fantabulous.👏⭐️ She also looked exactly like Savithri in few scenes! The whole cast was superb!
I don't know why she married a married man. If he couldn't stay loyal to his first wife, how can she be sure that he would be loyal to her? Does love make people really blind? It was his extramarital affairs that pushed her into depression. Sadly, she couldn't overcome it.She got addicted to alcohol, trusted people blindly, didn't concentrate on financial matters..all these things ruined her life, ultimately! I felt so bad for her!😭😭 I wish she didn't choose alcohol to fight her pain. We lost such a lovely person and extraordinary actress so soon!
Anyway, the costumes, language, sets, process of movie making in that era.. Everything was amazing. It felt so good experiencing that era.
Loved Dulquer Salman, who played the role of Gemini Ganesan though didn't like the character. He portrayed the grey shades well. Also, reel Gemini is much more handsome than the real one! 😆
