Dear all,

This thread is to churn your creative brains and come up with Jodha Akbar in our isshtyle. The first 100 episodes are well written, well shot and executed, yet, everyone of us would still have ideas to improvise.

Let's start with the first episode: Introduction of leads

Pour in your ideas of introducing the leads or your take on how a first episode should be!!

My take:
If I were the director, I wouldn't rush to introduce grown up leads in first episode. I'd take the first week to give an insight into young Akbar's life, his training under Bairam Khan which made him ruthless, and an insight into young Jodha and the Ameris.

When I saw young Jalal turning into grown up Jalal within ten minutes I felt it was rushed. What say??

Hey Jahnu.. Nice thread dearie.
I agree with u..
If I were a director..even I could have started with jodha and Jalal as kids.
How jodha brought up with warrior skills.. How her hatred grew towards mughal and
Jalal as a kid how he got involved in political issues in young age..and left his mother.
How bairam khan supported young Jalal made young innocent boy to shrewd ruthless warrior.
How maham involved in brainwashing the young soul..
Jalal's and Ruq's marriage.

Right this would have set the necessary back drop for the hatred love story 😳

But As mannu said the start was enchanting, breathtaking... Started with makbara of Jalal..and Soul talk was the heart of the episode.❤️
But they hurried to show grown up Jalal and Jodha

Yeah.. It's wise to start with soul talk and take a retro approach.. The introduction of major characters in young Jalal's life would have been more impacting.. also Jodha should have been shown as lil young girl brought up with the pride of Rajputs , hatred towards Mughals and other hunars as well.. its little strange that she is unaware of Mughal leader till age of 20 or whatsoever

Yeah..It would have been more impacting.. If they showed little Jodha doing sword fight.. Her archery skills.. Her singing.. Her nritya..her interest in spices and boating.. They could have given some more roulyal touch in fineries..
How can we forget
Her stubbornness..😳
And Jalal young dashing lad.. He was one of the finest hunter an animal lover..if shown his hunting skills, his sword fighting, marshall arts.. His witty decision making.. How he grown ruthless would have been more amazing.

👏

Rightly said Jahnu.
Introduction should be slow and steady.
It should portray the two diff kingdoms, it's culture, way of dressing, typical practices like sword fighting of Rajputs, fine horses n riding of the Mughals, the typical cuisines that the royalty eat, their shahi kitchens etc.
The differences in political tactics, the values. The festivals that matter most etc. the people who mattered the most etc.

Then it should show the family background of the two main characters. Their circumstances which lead to their personalities one to a heartless warrior and the other the fiery princess.

How blissful it will be then.

True I did not like the 9 second leap at all.

They could show many things as all discussed and can make the background more effective and interesting.
