Chapter 1 -
~ In Front Of My Eyes ~
"Follow that cab. Fast!" came a hard impatient voice as that man entered his black Audi and closed d door harshly with a thud. The car took d maximum speed possible subsiding d winter traffic of Kolkata.
"Fast, fast, fast damn it! I can't afford to lose this chance!" he said in a frustrated vioce as d cab was still way ahead of them.
He continuously vertically punched on d car seat in frustration murmuring "fast, fast ,fast..." to d driver. He ruffled his hair, wiped d sweat beads on his chin with his right hand in anxiety. His heart started to pump fast. With every passing second his heart beat was increasing. He felt as if his heart was being engulfed in thousands of emotions. Anxiety, nervousness, tension, excitement, stress, happiness, concentration, fear... everything was grinded in equal proportion and d mixture of it was coating his heart completely. He felt elated and scared at d same time. One minute a ray of hope was emerging but just d next fear was gripping his heart. It seemed really impossible to focus on a single one from d huge waves of emotions. The restless man was being fluctuated by his inner turmoil. He had a feeling of his heart being in his mouth, jumping. But no matter what all d feelings his heart was displaying his mind was fixed on only one statement "U can't afford to lose this chance, u can't afford to lose this chance,...". He indeed couldn't lose this chance as it would've taken d small ardor of life away he had just discovered. He felt like it was d luckiest day of his entire life when he suddenly had caught a glimpse of her. Yes, she had just stepped out of d shopping mall n took a cab. For a moment it seemed like d world had stopped spinning with time being stopped around them. But soon reality dawned upon him n he came back to his senses. Shaking his head he ran back to his car on realizing she was going away. There was no way he would let that happen. "She can't go away... can't lose her... no. Not at any cost" d stubborn mind was showering all its ascendancy on him and for d first time it seemed like his heart also agreed to its biggest competitor.
All of a sudden catching a sight of her out of the blue was like a celestial blessing for him. But he had no idea behind this blessing what Hide & Seek destiny was playing.
When the anxious man was engrossed in his thoughts he noticed something abruptly which shook him to his very core.
"They say YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN THE NEXT MOMENT But What Happens WHEN YOU SEE THE FUTURE RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES"
What he saw next was enough to run a shiver down his spine. Even just comprehending the out come he went numb.
A huge truck appeared out of nowhere from d opposite direction n went straight towards d cab like the devil's eyes had caught its prey. And there the drastic event took place with commotion of the huge crashing sounds.
The man had to watch it all helplessly. He felt his stomach getting rigid, heart exploding out of his chest n knees giving up. His right hand automatically stretched out trying to reach her, every vein popped up on his forehead n hands with heavy breathing, expanded eyes n the still stretched hand only one scream escaped his throat "Jodhaaa!!!..."
