Hi Maddy , Cleo ,
Even though Deepavali preparations have kept me busy over the last few days , I've been reading the written synopsis of every episode , online . I am disgusted at the manner in which EK has misused her power over the TV medium to dish out utter nonsense in the form of NR . She has distorted historical facts , massacred the beautiful and strong characters of Jodha and Jalal and given the epic love story a complete new 'sick' dimension , that only she could have done so well .
I religiously read a few IF updates everyday , Maddy's being one of them , I take her feedback seriously because it is heartfelt . I echo all your thoughts about the progress ( or should I say decline ) of the storyline Maddy . I personally feel that it is high time Rajat and Pari quit . I honestly do not understand what the member of the Creative team meant when he tweeted that JA will still remain Jalal and Jodha's love story ,even after the major leap . They are saying this , just to keep the viewership going because this show is popular only because of the beautiful couple Jodha / Jalal .
I would like to remind this guy that JA has stopped dealing with the different facets of Jalal and Jodha's love since months now , and MOSTLY showcases Rukaiya's jealousies , insecurities , wicked and sadistic plans . We are also tortured by having to see her successfully implementing all her evil plans and worst still , all her atrocities, receive love , respect and forehead kisses in return . Why ? only because she is Jalal's banchpan - e- fiend and BEK ? The icing on the cake is , she has been promoted to the highest rank in villainy equal to that of Mahamanga's . I am sure that there will be another negative character who will be introduced to fill Rukaiya's vacant spot . Just imagine the path that a historical storyline is taking .
There are a lot more interesting aspects that the production house could have shown us both historically and by adopting natakiya roopantar . When a historical starts moving on the same lines as a regular soap opera , it will most certainly lose its charm . As they say 'all good things must come to an end ', for me watching this serial which was also really good at one point of time , must come to an end .
Cleo , I ' ve missed reading your posts too . I am also weaning myself away from the forum , a desperate attempt at taming my addiction to Jodha Akbar .
Charu .
