The epi starts withMaan singh saving a girl who was doing suicide. Jodha ask him to do it fast. When Maan saved her, Jodha ask her the reason for her act. But Maan told Jodha to not to get involved in all this. But Jodha ask the girl again. Girl told that she was doing because she couldnt pay taxes and she didnt wanted to convert her religion. She further says that you live lavish lives in palace and celebrate the birth of your children but from where all this come from? Jodha assures her that from now on she didnt have to pay taxes.
There Birbal meet Tansen. Tanseen says that when i was in different state you were there also and now when i came here u came here. Birbal replied that its their distiny, there also king appointed him and here also, he is here to make king happy. Tanseen say king became happy by listening to his music and people laugh at you not because of ur talks. Birbal says that u light the lamps and make rain by ur singing and well people get worried he has to light up their mood.
Jodha told Jalal all the matter she saw in front of Rukaiyya. Rukaiyya says its right and its under mughal rule. Jodha tries to explain more to Jalal about the wrong of Jazia but Jalal says that he cant take decision without consulting Todarmal abt it. Birbal overhears all.
Jodha and all bandies were standing in a queue before a room. Todarmal came ask the matter. Jodha told that they all came here because they want to pay jazia because she is also a hindu. Todarmal ask a souldier to call Jalal.
Jalal came and again try to explain Jodha that she cant pay tax because she is a begum and it will be an insult to him if he take it from her. She says why not because she also is a hindu. Rukkaiyya take the take from Jodha. Jalal is tensed.
Jodha was walking when Birbal came and told her that he will solve her problem.
Jalal was in court with all members. He was discussing abt jazia only. Todarmal told that most part of treasure came from jazia and if we remove it then we cant deny that treasure will be affected. Maulvi saheb also agress to it. Jalal ask Maan singh abt the Rajvanshi kings. He told Jalal that they were sheltering some bagi. Jalal told Maan to send them msg that this will be thought as ailane jang but he wants to talk to kings before any further step.
Birbal enters and ask Jalal to come out with him as some people want to convert their religion. Jalal came and see that there are n no. of people. He was confused. Birbal ask him if he has made the rule that both hindu and muslim have same rights then why in the state there are two contradictory rules are getting practiced?
Jalal was standing in front of his insaaf ka taraazoo(lol). He says Jodha begum you cant get defeated. Birbal came and ask which place is this. Jalal told him that this is the place where he come when he is totally confused to what to do. Birbal told him to call diwaan e khaas and rest he will do as you know what is right and wrong.
