Hello all🤗

Welcome to the Drabble Series thread😳

This story will tell you some certain accounts of Jalal and Jodha's married life in the 21st century. This wouldn't be a FF, but a series of OS, which will be linked to one another. When I am done with one drabble I am done with no more continuation from that point. Unless there is a request😉

I will update this once or twice a month with three to four dribbles. Hope you enjoy the journey😳

Banner will be up soon😊

Mehendi Night

After all the hectic functions, the would be bride sprawled on the bed, cautiously putting her yet wet henna in the middle of the air preventing it from smudging. She closed her eyes, taking in the moment of peace and tranquility, which she was craving for the whole week. All she wanted to do now was to sleep until the Doomsday had arrived. But Damn Her Henna! The silence broke when her gaudy ringtone "Shopping for labels", which her niece had set on her phone, started to ring. The tunes of the song blasted in the peaceful environment making Jodha almost jump! "Chi! I got to change this before he gets to know about it." But she didn't want to break her niece's heart. Taking a sharp intake of air, Jodha tried hard to take the call, but her wet henna were forbidding her to do so. The flashing of the cell phone stopped only to start again! "Impatient little man." she giggled under her breath. She had to take the call! Carefully, with her finger tips Jodha managed to slide the screen. She put the call on loudspeaker.

Hello, Jodha?' his husky voice made her world turn. Ufff! The whole day she couldn't talk to him as she was preparing herself for the wedding the following day. Their sessions of crying had started from the morning and had lasted till the Henna ceremony.

"Jalal, its me." Jodha giggled. She could hear him sigh out of relief and why wouldn't he? All day he tried to reach to her, but whenever he called someone else would pick the call. Let it be Jodha's mother, to her mother, to Bittu chachi to her nephew, Shenu. The first time he had called Bittu chachi had picked up the call, which left him embarrassed. As soon he found the other line on use, the first thing he uttered was a song that too Ishq Hai Voh Ehsaas." in his non-melodic voice. That was it! His life after his marriage would turn into bizarre whenever he would come visit his in laws with all those teasing.

"Jalal, I heard you sang for chachi? Waah! You never bothered to sing for me, but sang for chachi and that too Ishq Hai Voh Ehsaas?" She chuckled, pulling his leg. She had a feeling that he would be either shook his head sideways thinking of her nuisance or he would totally mute this conversation. "Jodha... I thought of giving you a surprise parry yeh chachi.." He sighed. She mentally set her mind up to tell him sing for her but before she could say anything, Jalal cleared his voice and started to sing his cranky voice.

"Inn aakho mei tum

Jabse Hogaye Gum

Saara jaha tera chehra.."

Jodha could feel her cheeks turning hot and she could not help but smile.

"Preet ka yeh rang aab tere sang aur bhi hogaya gehra.."

He continued to sing. Jodha was in awe of him.

"Ishq hai voh ehsaas..

Ishq hai voh jazbaat..

badlde yeh duniya

balde yeh ala.."

Jodha felt proud herself and felt like pulling his cheeks. She bit her lips as she could not bite her palm because of the henna. Old habits. "Jalal that's just so sweet! I wish I could come over and give you the reward for this brilliant performance." She could hear him humming "Then come on over."

Jodha heard some applause from behind and a few whistles. "Ayye hayye." Her cousin, Moti exclaimed, "Mei aajayu jeejaji?" All the girls from the gang started giggling . "Saali Sahiba, my doors are always open for my jhalli salis because the Saalis are adhi gharwalis." Jalal teased her. "Isshhh." exclaimed moti, after a fit of laughter. "Jeeju this isn't fair! You can't get to have all of her now! She will come with you to your place anyways tomorrow. So have patience my lattu jeeju." She giggled pressing call end.

Jalal heard some giggles and the next minute line was dead. Damn Moti! Let alone his goodnight kiss, he couldn't even say goodbye properly to her. He pitied himself. "Pagal Khana!" he chuckled at the thought of his in laws.

Covering himself properly with the blanket, Jalal kissed his phone's screen, which had Jodha's picture set on it, her showing her tongue to the camera. He placed the his phone underneath his pillow and said "Chaal Jalal, soja. Tomorrow is our big day!" He drifted into sleep.

The First Night

"Oho!" exclaimed the newly wed bride as her wedding ring slipped off of her finger and rolled beneath the decorated bed. It was the 6th time her ring slipped from her finger the whole day. Now she was beginning to think that it must be some kind of sign, a sign that meant to tell her something. Jodha's hand slipped beneath the bed, frisking it carefully. Jalal would be here any minute and she had to find her ring before his arrival! What would he think of her! He would think that if she couldn't handle a small ring, how would she handle this marriage! She gasped out of fear. Jodha being usual tensed self-started to panic and a tear slipped from her eye. She couldn't find it! It had to be somewhere here, she thought to herself. She glanced beneath the bed to have an exact look of her ring's whereabouts. To her bad luck, the ring rested right on the middle making Jodha want to make the bed turn!

Jalal paced along the vast hall right outside his room, engrossed in reading a piece of paper. "Jodha you already know that I love you more than anything in this world and I can do anything for you and and and..." In exasperation he ripped the paper into two pieces and slipped his sleek fingers into his copper hair. "Ufff!" he said with irritation evident in his voice. "Kya yaar! She was your girlfriend before tab toh pyaar ki baat asani se kerleta tha then what happened now? Now she is your wife and it's just your first official night with her!" He sliced his hand in the air ushering his inner self. "Just relax beta, take a deep breath and just walk into the room." He pressed on his pulsating vein and inhaled a good amount of air in him. As he let go of the air, he clutched the ice-cold doorknob and swung it open only to find Jodha in an awkward lying position- putting all her concentration in something under the bed. Jalal cocked a brow upwards and asked quizzically "What are you doing Jodha?"

Hearing Jalal's skeptical tone, Jodha peeked through her lashes. Jalal took some step forward and before he reached out to her, Jodha propped herself up and dragged her eyes away in embarrassment. Jalal could not hold on to the level of proximity present in the air and gently held her shoulder and asked her in a soft tone "Is everything alright?" Jalal was damn worried and her silence wasn't helping him much. After a moment of silence, Jodha slowly jerked out of his touch and pointed her finger towards the bed "Th-the r-ring.. its.." She stuttered as she spoke. She knew what place that ring held in his heart. It was from his ancestors, from the Mughals and she couldn't take care of it.

Jalal shot a confused look to Jodha "The wedding ring? What happened to it?" Jodha sucked in a deep breath and turned away from Jalal "It wasn't my fault. The ring is just sooo loose an-and it slipped off from my ring I mean my finger! It rolled beneath the bed and now it is resting right in the middle. It's beyond my reach!" she blurted out in one go making Jalal at first confound with her dramatic self and then he burst into a fit of laughter. Puzzled, Jodha gave him a what's-so-funny look and poked him on the shoulder. "Did I say something funny?" His shoulders starting shuddering more as he took Jodha in his embrace and pressed his lips on top of her forehead. "Jodha, its not that you lost the ring or something. It's just underneath the bed. Why do you always need to cry about illogical things?" said Jalal with a hint of mischief in his voice. Jodha moved back a little to meet her eyes with his. "I-I thought you would..." She sighed heavily "Freak out." she spoke after a pause. Jalal, now cupped her face and gazed into her eyes "Jodha, If you had lost the ring I would've maybe freaked out a bit. But you are more important to me than any jewel in the world ,alright? Now stop worrying about such trivial matters and lets get that ring out and..." he quickly pecked her nose "Lets have some fun.." he winked at her as he smiled mischievously at her making Jodha go crimson. Jodha put her hands over Jalal's shoulders and spoke in the cutest way possible "I love you Shehensha..."

The Silent Treatment

For the 16th time Jodha checked her cell phone, expecting a call or at least a message from Jalal. But to her disappointment, he had neither tried to call her, neither he texted her. She pouted while looking at the screen as it flashed her and Jalal's wedding wallpaper. She threw her phone away to the corner of the bed and tried to concentrate the university work she had to finish. She was successful in doing so and after ten minutes she was occupied with her work. It had been a week she was married and the past week of hers revolved around Jalal. They were with each other every minute, spending the best time of their lives with each other. If Jalal hadn't the important conference today, they would've been in Paris- lost in each other's arms.

Jalal once again checked his phone to see whether he had any calls from Jodha or not. He sighed heavily as he had not got a single call from her the whole day. He placed his phone on the desk and picked Jodha's photo frame, which was kept, on his desk. Jalal skimmed his fingers over the photo. He had a pretty amazing time with her this week. She could actually see him. Jodha overlooked the fact that he is a Mughal and actually loved him for who he was, the real Jalal, who was lost in the game of thrones. It was Jodha who brought him back and showed him the right path, the path of love. He was suddenly bursting with pride to have a wife as beautiful and pure as Jodha. Jalal swiftly picked up his phone and dialed a number "Hello, Aziz?"

Tightly closing her eyes shut, Jodha massaged her temples to get rid of the building headache. She decided to expire soon the night as she the following day it would be her first official day to university after marriage and anyways she wanted to teach Jalal a lesson for ignoring her a whole day by giving him the silent treatment. Oh! She knew how he hated her silent treatment as he was used to non-stop chattering habit. After giving her goodbyes to her mother in law and sister in law she slumped herself on the bed and soon was fast asleep.

An excited Jalal entered the room, but all his excitement went to trash when he saw Jodha sleeping soundly on the bed. She didn't even wait for me, he thought to himself. Jalal sat beside sleeping Jodha and carefully he put the blanket all over to her chin. Sensing someone's light touch over her bare shoulder, Jodha almost jumped up from sleep and she shouted out loud "Who is it?" Startled, Jalal put his hand over her mouth and shushed her up. "Ssshhh... Darling its me Jalal." he spoke softly. "Your husband." he added later. Relaxed, Jodha settled back a bit and reached for the glass of water on her bedside table. Jalal moved his hand from her lips and spoke with excitement "Jodha I have a surprise for you."

Jodha knew Jalal would come up with some gifts to console her and it did work all the time, but this time she wouldn't budge, she made up her mind. Without even looking at Jalal, she settled herself between the army of pillows and covered her head with the blanket. "What?!" Jalal exclaimed. "Jodha, suno toh!" Jalal now got to know about her intentions. She was giving her the silent treatment! Jalal almost chuckled at her but he controlled himself. "Alright then Jodha.. If you are not interested to go to Paris, I will tell Aziz to cancel the trip, again!"

Jodha flung the blanket off of her and stood up on the bed. "Honeymoon!" she clapped her hands in excitement. She almost flew to Jalal and grabbed him in her embrace, kissing his cheeks numerous times "I love you so much Jalal!" Jalal gave his trademark smirk and nuzzled his nose into her hair "I love you too darling.."
